This is why you never ignore your gut instinct.
No gut instincts necessary here, since it was glaringly obvious that he was trouble. Now, if she had been walking down the street alone at night and felt that she was being followed, that's where her gut instinct would come into play.
Exactly man. We are all animals. Our prey side instinctually understand when we’re being hunted.

About a WEEK later they caught this guy, Orisha Luckey, and he was arrested. I notice that most of these channels and news websites don't update us on this information. The maniac who tried to get in her apt. had 37 prior arrests!!
Liberal laws are killing people
They begged in the streets for this to happen.
Don’t they always have priors?
He didn’t get so luckey
WOW!!! 37????? JUST WOW!!!!
I once had a man follow me into the underground garage of my apartment complex. He was getting extremely close but I didn't want to be accused of profiling, so I just acted normal. I got into my car and in a split second, as I locked the door, he was on the passenger side trying to open the door. I just froze. When he saw I had my cellphone in my hand, he ran away. It was so frightening. That's just one of many close calls with these deranged individuals. It's quite sad that many women I talk to have had more than one encounter with a stalker.
That's not called profiling it's called listening to your gut!
Omg how terrifying. Thank God you're ok.

You're absolutely right
Because she is from the Bronx, I lived there, you can’t panic.
This reminds me of my grandma’s step mother. She was 104 and went to go get the mail from outside. Right when she got back into the house she closed the gate just in time because a man ran up to the door a little late and was telling her to open the door so he can break in her house. She told him that if your looking for a store or bathroom their is a gas station a couple blocks from here. Crazy but RIP to her. She passed away about 3 or so years ago.

Ditto
Yep 37 time before to be exact. When the police caught him they found out that he had 37 priors like this
And the fact that he was able to open the door himself and walk in the building. So many old buildings in the boroughs have this problem but locking doors must be mandatory! I highly doubt he’s a tenant. People like that will stay in the same location if they know it’s a building where lazy management hasn’t fixed the locks
Exactly why I keep a shotgun at my front door.
I feel for this woman. I too am afraid at any hour coming into my building to my apartment. It is scary especially when the lobby door is supposed to be locked and only tenants have keys and you find a piece of paper in the lock jamming it from locking.
The fact that he STILL had the audacity to say “hey yo miss” “open up the door bro” as if he were entitled to her time & attention.
He said "Pappi open up the door bro". Prior to that he said "Miss open up the door". There was a guy in the house he wanted to settle some "scores" with. Do not put your women in danger-period
The guy is so stupid for trying to ask her to open the door, after stalking her too. That is just scary
and for calling her "bro" too
Out of his mind on drugs and bad life decisions

@Jimmy Marketti Yea, me too, never use them while moving aka walking, running, shopping. Can't hear the car horn, the stuff falling, people calling, the birds singing, the wind blowing, cant hear life.
Yes! Develop situational awareness. Specially around transition spaces like coming down your car or going inside building or house always have your keys ready.
@Jimmy Marketti facts 💯
@Jimmy Marketti yesss I do that now
Ladies plz carry pepper spray or a firearm also!!
Rules to survive a situation like this:
1. NEVER enter your building or house if you even suspect a man is creeping outside awaiting you to go in. LISTEN to your instincts and DO NOT ENTER.
2. Avoid entering by pretending as if you forgot your keys (long before you reach the door) and pretend to search your bag and jingle some keys about as if they are the wrong keys. Try not to let him know you suspect him. Turn back and - preferably out of his sight - call the police and tell them “a man wielding a knife is waiting to rape me at my apartment.” Tell them you received a random message on a piece of paper earlier that morning or the previous night threatening you that you were going to be raped today. Tell police you threw the paper away thinking it was a sick joke. But now a man with a knife is outside your apartment waiting to try to rape you. Tell them to come asap as he may leave or try to follow you. Tell them your worried he may stab someone at random.
When the police turn up get out your popcorn and enjoy the show.
3. Get a gun and a permit to carry it. Practice drawing it and shooting it at a range.
4. If police fail to arrest him, if he gets away of they have no grounds to detain him, move address asap.
You cannot carry a gun in NYS.

I'm happy that she closed the door in time.
@@TheDarkDresser straight up, he would have done that too. I think a couple of us here that have been attacked know that a lot of male aggressors just find that to be a bonus.
@@Mallenaudrix
You're right.
I wish she had had a big and burly 6' 5" husband in the apartment when this guy tried to get in.
These men prey on women, since they know that many times, they can overpower us.
@@TheDarkDresser Any man worth his salt would be sufficient in that instance. Besides there's no fair fight in this instance. He deserves whatever force came back at him.
Good luck finding a 6'5" man.😅👌🏾
If that door didn’t lock automatically, it would’ve been a diffrent story.
WLMs White Lips Missing members have an expired freedom from law card that still works apparently
@Warkid She locked it quickely, its not a automatic slam lock.
How he even had the nerve to ask her to open the door after he had it slammed in his face is beyond me! Any low-life would have known better. Obviously this is the new breed of shameless predator that’s prowling the streets of NYC today!
@@Thesage50
New? It's actually the SAME breed.
@@13ivanogre13 You can only imagine how spooky folks were out here in the 70s during the height of the bad times.
Any updates on this?
Her fast thinking probably saved her life
And he look so disappointed and dejected when he realised he wouldn't have an opportunity to hurt her.
The fact that he was only few seconds apart from getting to her makes my heart beat rapidly 😭😭😭

Typical male
If there is such a thing he looks like a pervert
@@Notanks228 you are so wrong for saying that your typical male works everyday and a woman and you are no Queen for saying that you're one of them man-hating women
All women reading this you MUST carry a MACE keychain. These are crazy times we’re living in.
Carry more than mase real talk
Mase??? Really that's dumb...carry a gloc 9!
men too
as a guy I always feel some kind of way seeing a girl or woman walking home late by themselves . I always think where is your boy friend or husband why would you let your woman walk home alone by themselves at night its so dangerous. at least meet them halfway to walk them home or get them a uber especially if you live in the hood.
that's why I take my wife to the gun range twice a month...
Watching that close call gives me shivers. He literally had his foot right there the same time the door clicked shut.
"aye yo ma'am" 🤣
The time it took her to put her key in, turn it, and pull it back out without jamming was God speed 🙏 Someones watching over her ❤️
Yes indeed
God is good he’s always watching over good people
Very true!!
Facts!!!
For sure my key would jam or my hand bag would get caught outside 🤦🏾♀️
Not to mention she said she saw TWO guys acting suspiciously outside. The first one went in to see if he could get into her apartment, and if he had, he probably would have called the other guy to come in.
Horrible! ! They most likely wanted to rob her. .
That’s what I was thinking a rape and robbery and probably murder too. She’s very lucky thank God
@@mw2341 or worst
You're right and he had his phone in his hand, which I thought was a knife at first. After he ran up to the door he put the phone in his pocket
@@mw2341 rob, rape & kill.
Nothing like having a 22 calibre gun to protect yourself long range.
And then he had the nerve to knock on the door!
This was not a “break in attempt” this was an attempted assault
Plus there were 2 of them! The other o e was down stairs. Poor woman I'd probably afraid to leave her home now.
Agree.
Battery.
Both and more than likely a murder after. So scary
Looked like he was holding a knife in his left hand too. Crazy! I hope they find this guy man cuz he’s definitely doing this every night
He was going to do damage, he has nervous energy when she closed the door in the nick of time! He was furious and enraged.
The Devil is always busy! He could have done anything to her! Raped, robbed, and killed!!!! 2 AM!!!! this is creepy af!!!

He still had the audacity to tell her to open the door
I heard the building did not fix the broken front door. How is that okay to allow unlocked???? That poor woman was obviously about to be terrorized for hours!!
There are likely children in this building?? Lazy, lazy, cheap, LAZY property owners must be forced to pay steep fines for knowingly allowing broken front doors.
It's the first and sometimes only line of defense for an apartment building. What is the question here?!!?
This same thing happened to a friend of mine. But, Unfortunately the guy was able to push his way into her apartment. If her brother wasn't home, Something bad could've happened.
I have a weapon in my hand or my keys in my hands and i prepare myself ( i don't want to) for battle these creeps don't care..and just what was he thinking to do.smh It's scary in this world.

I hear you sis, but she should have been MORE ready, especially at 2 a.m. If you gotta walk, walk with a deterrent/weapon, (mace, taser, gun) IN YOUR HAND and ready!!!!!
ya rabbe,I'm so relieved tht she is saved,I'm so happy tht she closed the door so fast...
Look at what just happened to Christina Lee. This same thing except the man got into her apartment and killed her. It just makes me sick. 😔
That dude is high af. So happy that woman was as cautious as she was. Intuition is everything, especially when living in the hood.
True. And that's part of why I don't have compassion. For sick people behaving strange like the dude in that video. Even the way someone walks if I don't like it I don't associate except to neutralize.
Not just the hood. It's everywhere
I smoke weed and I would never. He must’ve been high off something else
@@Jenaye12345 its not the drugs that made him do that

Man i wish i can just change my schedule
He look high on something, he barely missed the walls ! On the other hand, she followed her intuition and saved her life ! 🙏
My anxiety runs so high after watching this video. Omg! I'm so glad she made it in in time and locked her door. This is scary
