Great report, Mike! Re: Habs: 1. I'm a diehard, lifelong Habs fan. 2. I'm losing faith in MSL...while he's been helpful to the young players and is a "player's coach" I'm not convinced any longer that he's the best coach to take the team to the next level. Habs need a bonefide knowledgeable coach like Joel Quennville. I'd like to see the Habs go after him NOW!!! 3. Re: "WIFI": He's not being used properly. The guy has untapped, raw talent that needs to be DEVELOPED, and he can't develop sitting on the bench. They need to play him, teach him to play responsible "D", and to pace himself with the fights. Pick his spots where it doesn't put the team in a hole. I'm a huge Xhekaj fan and believer. Habs need to either develop him or trade him. 4. Habs got whacked by the Rangers tonight!!!! They looked BAD!!!! Something isn't working here. I was quite optimistic before the season started, but Laine's injury seemed to be an eerie harbinger of problems to come. Habs look terrible tonight, and it's going to be a long season if the GM & coaching staff can't find some answers!!!! Don't wait!!! Make changes NOW or it'll be over & done by XMas.
if habs are not going to play number 72 then trade him for a player that will improve size wise and with a heart to work hard. several teams would like to have number 72 do not give him away he has a value . Or time to let the sheriff play. how many more players are going to be injured this season?

I'm not a believer of Curses, but, I think that Expectations Are Usually Hightened After These Extensions - e.g. The Mike Sullivan In Pittsburgh).

You guys are so dumb. MSL is the problem. He had everyone thinking Kovecivic was a 6th or 7th guy aswell. Now he's second in ice time on NJ. Plus 4 and 5 points..
I think Martin St Louis' shelf life is gonna be short in MTL. Last I checked his winning % was in the .370's. He'll help some young players develop. The question is, does he have the coaching experience that coaches acquire through the grind of the chl/ahl? I hope for his sake that systems improve including special teams as players grow into their roles. Bleak times ahead for now.
I mean I don’t think they are worried about his win % yet. They know they haven’t given him a great team yet. But when Laine comes back and the team is healthy I think they’ll start to look at him more. The next step of the rebuild is finding what pieces you want to keep and which to flip for needs. I think by next season they’ll be evaluating Marty throughout the whole season as expectations start to rise.
I look at a guy like Lawson Crouse. Obviously Montreal would have to put in a contract like armia and a good prospect. But if Utah isn’t in playoffs come trade deadline, could be great fit, but Montreal would have to pay decent amount, especially with multiple years left on his contract
I agree, zebras would be a mistake for several reasons. First, they have four legs, so the team equipment costs would be far higher e g. twice as many skates, Secondly, they'd be useless against the Panthers, as they'd likely run off the ice at their first sight of them. Thirdly, you could never use zebras against the Red Wings, as with the Lions and Tigers also residing in Detroit, they'd immediately wig out and refuse to come out of the 'away team' locker room. Finally, I'm not sure if they speak French, either, so that could ultimately turn out to be the real deal breaker for the Habs, I guess🤔?! Now back to Mike and 'Top Zoo Hockey'🦓👍!!
Arbor has a tougher job satisfying the media than the team. When Ottawa goes headhunting and Xhekaj counters by buzzing Stutzles tower then he is criticized for undisciplined play and taking a bad penalty! When Dumbass levels Barron, well why wasn't Arbor on the bench. If Arbor was in the game would Dumbass still decked Barron...Yes! If Arbor went after him, guess what, undisciplined again !
