Who else is watching and can't afford anything but is dreaming of a nice powerful PC
Mate i was like you about 5 years ago. Here's a tip, save up any Christmas or job money you can and start off small. Then slowly upgrade stuff instead of doing it in one go. Don't bother with flash in the pan components or making it look good at first, just get the performance foundation. I started out with a shit HP desktop, I then transplanted it into a better matx case. I then added fans, a rx460 GPU, ssd, more ram etc. After that I realised my CPU was a bottleneck so I upgraded the shit HP mobo along with the CPU. Now I'm 17 I have a job and never thought I'd have an i5 7500 GTX 1060 g1 3g 8gb ram and rgb fans/peripherals in s340 elite tempered glass case. Next upgrade will be better CPU cooler and rgb strips. Also, the used market is your friend, try getting a good deal on a cheap GPU and a i5 2500k mobo ram combo. Then wack it in a cheap case to start or something.

If you just want a pc that works, and don't have an interest in the hardware or want to complicate things, buy a prebuild.
My first real gaming pc I got in 2009, it was prebuild and I loved it. With my new PC from 2016, I decided I wanted to try building it myself, so I could save some money, and gain some knowledge. Question for you guys. I'm new to pc gaming. Does a pre built gaming pc mean it's ready to use and you can add parts if you want. Or does it mean it's pre built and not READY TO USE.

Yes you should! When i first built my pc, it was so cool! It’s not the hardware I’m worried to set up or mess up, it’s the software, like how do I decide what to put on my ssd or installing drivers etc.
Charlie G ideally you want your operating system (eg windows 10) and possibly a couple of your favourite games ( depending on the size of the ssd) on a separate small ssd and the bulk of your games, videos, photos etc. on a large ssd or hdd, you should also back files up regularly. Windows 10 will keep most of your drivers up to date but you'll probably need to update your motherboard and graphics card drivers when you first start. Paul's hardware has an excellent beginners series that takes you from part selection through to a full software installation and update.

I think understanding what each component does is so important as it makes you appreciate all of the parts. Otherwise you pay 2 grand for a big number at the top of your screen
I built my first ever PC last month and am SO GLAD I did. The equivalent specs would have costed me £300 more at least, and I was able to customise everything in it. I even broke the standoff mount for the CPU Cooler to my liquid AIO Cooler, and was very worried, however Overclockers UK were phenomenal in their customer support and sent me a replacement set :D.
Now i'm playing almost all games at 100fps ultrawide, and CPU Temps are never greater than 50°C.
For me a only 50 dollar difference.
dpanch_89 can u give me all the specs of your pc?
Cool. My PC is nothing special yet, in fact, just looking at my specs might actually make you pity me. I'm saving up about 500 dollars to build my own PC.
This is what I have currently:
PC Model: eMachines EL1358G
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 220 2.80GHz processor, dual core.
RAM: 6GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 (MSI)
Power Supply: 220W
Monitor 1: 1360x786 resolution, connected with HDMI
Monitor 2: 1280x1024 resolution, connected with VGA
HDD: 500GB Seagate, came from an old HP computer running Vista.
OS: Windows 10 Pro (x64)
It's not very powerful, but for the games I really like playing on PC (TF2, TES 5, and GH3 mostly) it works decently. The problem is the power and the processor. They're pretty bad, and they severely limit what my graphics card can do. I bought the GT 610 without realizing it requires at least a 300W PSU, so a 220W PSU is one reason I feel like I have performance problems, along with my processor. The processor is the really weak part; I've noticed it going all the way up to 90% usage when running a game like TF2, resulting in anywhere from 30-50fps, occasional spikes with it dropping down to 15fps or lower at random. When I die though, it jumps up to 100fps :p
OllieNA If you mess up you have warranty most of the time for your parts and if you watched the video he says its not easy to mess it up just follow the instructions of a tutorial.
I built my first pc week ago and honestly its so easy guys, it saves you loads of money

If you can find a prebuilt one with good price to part ratio then yes, go for it. I reccomend this HP gtx 1060 got 600$. It has a i5 8th gen professor and 8gb ddr4 ram.
NO. DO NOT DO THIS. HP and Dell and big OEM type manufacturers like that basically always use the absolute shittiest quality unbranded motherboards and power supplies that often, although not always blow out within 3 years. B4 I built systems I bought an HP 500-310a desktop and it was the worst computer I've ever owned, expensive, low spec and terrible quality. They do this so they can decrease the cost of the pc and in turn increase profit margins. If you HAVE to buy a pre-built, at least get one from a good system integrator like ibuypower (although even their PSUs are questionable). Build a system so you save some money, learn a new skill, build confidence in upgrading, and insure you are using quality parts.
Ecorigon IV I was trying to get a pc but have no fucking clue how it works. Could you recommend how to choose parts for one?
@@Sean-gs7cp watch build guides and use PC part picker website. First pick Intel or AMD then the socket motherboard that will work with your chip. Haha. The "cost" thing is a tricky point. Once you really get into pc tech, you might like it so much that u prefer some higher quality parts and end up spending more than you planned innitially. When I started building, I just found a new passion and ended up with overkill hardware compared to where i came from (main stream 1080p 60 fps gaming). I dont regret any of it tho.

It’s WAY better. And I don’t know about you but I Felt a sense of honor when I built my first pc. It’s very delightful knowing that I put together this pc and made it myself...

What if you chose your parts on a website that also builds it for you?
Depends on how much it costs for them to build it for you.
very costly. these are luxury custom building services
It depends on what you define as costly. NCIX sells this as a service and they sell it for $50. They also bring a pre-configured Windows key.
Well thanks for the information
There are some websites that do that
If you know what you’re doing then build it because it’s pretty fun, and it’s your own creation so it’s exactly how you want it depending on your budget, but if you don’t want to experiment then build it and learn about it. My first pc I bought a prebuilt and would upgrade minor things or add things to the motherboard. Then I replaced the processor, added lights etc. and I learned how to customize it, so when I wanted a new pc I just built it. And it was great because when I bought it premade I just focused on playing and learning about the pc. But building it was an experience, coming back from work and working on it, going to different stores searching for RGB and cases, and meetings many dope people and talking about what components are better.

People saying, 'buy if you have the money', but why? For 1000usd you're going to get something just above average. If you have 1000usd and build a PC, you're going to have over kill pc.
A better example of this would be when me and my friend decided to upgrade - I built a PC for £500 (have to pay for uni so tight budget) and my friend, who is well off, buys a pc for £850. Mine is significantly better and he's ended up spending more money to improve it.

. Second thing : I'm pretty sure *overkill* is relative. Lets say an 1060 might be an overkill for him because he only plays minecraft, leauge, csgo on a 60Hz monitor, and watches youtube videos, but for you it might not do the job since you *lets say* want to play the newest games at *U L T R A* .
But i might be wrong , if yes please correct me , but as far as i know the word overkill doesnt referr to how strong a PC or XY is :P

This includes everything. You don't need case fans since the case includes decent case fans, cooler has thermal paste already applied, and... why would you need extra SATA cables when it comes with whatever you're buying? My motherboard came with 2 already, and I got more by buying more drives.
Also, just pirate Windows. Fuck Windows. They're assholes. No one feels bad. Or get Linux.
Just wait for deals. You CAN even fit an SSD in there, and keep it under $1000 if you wait for deals as well. Also, you can buy used things that really aren't affected by time like a processor.
uhm. hey :DD i'd have some questions, first of all can you use real windows on pc-s that ran with pirated windows before? probably dumb question but hey :D im not sure
second of all i will probably , hopefully build a pc in Winter and i'd also have some questions about it
-does black friday affect pc components on.. letssay amazon, newegg?
-i will use the rig for streaming, and idk if i should buy win 10 or xd ? i just fear that i'll accidentally leak it somehow or smth. , thanks :)
Black Friday does affect PC components, but I think Cyber Monday has better deals. And yes, the person above states, you can run a legitimate key of windows that has a pirated version.
This also might be a better build

Note, I didn't add Windows.
I was able to complete my PC Build for about $2,000
I have an Intel i-9 10850K & a Radeon XFX Merc 319 16GB RX6800
Absolutely love the build and haven't turned my Xbox on since.
Learned everything I needed for the build off this channel!!!
If I build one I’m going to tell my cousin to help because he built is own and he knows a lot about computers
How come all these boys who make such videos are so rich?
Vasileios Cause you get paid for making videos and having a lot of subs
Vasileios subs, Sponsorships, Fans, Donations and More etc
@Ethan Johnson nigga you just said "advertisements are advertised"
Build ( cheaper )
I got a setup with a GTX1060 intel core i7 7700 16 gb ram 120 gb ssd 1tb hardrive for $900!! Its an insane deal imo
and it was a prebuilt lmao
wasted money ah
Tech Unboxing how?
Idk man i think he is insane
But whatever hes probably just mad because his build costs more or maybe he had a bad day who knows?
first you dont need that cpu so thats wasted money eventualy if you render videos but for that gpu i5 7600k is awesome just my opinion that i5 is enough
Tech Unboxing no just no
Build as you can personalise it to how you like it and have the specific parts you need to run what you want
Assembly is a major part of the fun
Hey I'm starting to build my first PC and I'm considering getting a GeForce 1060 GTX, are prices still very high right now for about $350 CAD? Should I wait for boxing day? Or when Nvidia releases their new GPUs? Cause I wanted to finish the build before 2018, or mid January
It’s really up to what you like, but if you’re looking for cheap prices, get an used Gtx 1060, or 1070.
Airbolt. I wouldnt recommend that with cryptomining being so big right now. I would wait until prices drop
S Z I know it’s been 9 months but did u built it already?
Build. Build build build build build. BUILD.
But people like me have no idea what the hell their doing
bakonator48 well, there are more than enough guides online...
Best system: WinWindows they’re all fucking useless and outdated af.
But I don’t know how to build one I’m 13...

Bruhh i rly dont know build or buy im 12 i have brother and he can help me build it but i won't buy all these things to build cuz they are soo much and i dont really know what things need to build
I’ll just get my dad to do it for me, after all isn’t that want dads are for, building you a pc
i really don't know what to do. but one? i want something that is great for gaming and lasts for a long time
The answer is simple do what options you prefer building your own if you want that feeling of building your own computer or buying a pre built so if you don’t know how to build your own but buying it from a legit website and not like Walmart or amazon
Fuck a gaming PC I got my game cube and psp lol xD
urhfjj dispatched jdncnfjdnxjejfjdjd damn so edgy and cool

What case is that
I'm buying mine pre built and upgrading overtime. First thing imma do add more ram. Then see what graphics cards are available when next gen drops in 2020. Maybe add another ssd.
I have a guy who build and orders and sets up my stuff for 50 bucks is that good?
Can we break It no you can save $50 by building it yourself. What is your budget for your pc?
No, its not. You can get a cheaper deal on that (Or just actually learn it in 20 minutes).
Good but the budget is it please
I want a pre built gaming pc that can play games such as GTA 5, Destiny 2,... on high graphic and between 600-800 in price. Any suggestions?
You could get one that will run 60fps+ on ultra if you just built it.
I would buy the Alienware Aurora, the very base model is 800 and comes with a mouse and keyboard. I haven't boughten it yet but will order it soon.
Long Nguyen I would recommend Cyber Power people make rumors of that they suck but it is pretty good for its price and will give you the graphics yourwre willing to play on however you do have to find a good one
Ryan Nguyen whelp orgins pc but for good at least over 4k
I just got a Omen 1TB hard drive, 16gb ram, GTX 1070 for $1.2k
who is watching in 1994? anyone?
I am.
What I would do is buy a pc pre built and as you have it you’ll learn certain things about computers that could help in the future when you make your own
Huge tip for beginning gamers get a pre built that is not from wallmart or China and stuff, and if you got something you like check a couple of videos of youtube so you know how it plays
Buy gaming pc to play ROBLOX
I have had the desire to build my own computer for a very long time and as such I have watched a tonne of videos about the topic. I am mechanically minded, capable of building or making just about anything, but computers have always eluded me for one simple reason that I have never seen covered in any tutorial.
I understand what each component is designed to do and how they all connect - that is all easy enough, tab A slots into tab B etc. The part that confounds me is how do I know what brand, model, size, of each component do I need. I am of an older generation and didn't grow up with computers. Speaking to some of the younger generation the answer is to just decide what you need. My problem is I don't know what I need and therefore don't know what components to buy. Where is the list? Do I just buy the most expensive of each component and hope that they are compatible? If my budget is limited, do I buy the most expensive 'X' component and then try to match other affordable components to that and if so which product is component 'X' ie where is the start point? Is it the CPU, is it the motherboard? I have never seen any of this type of detail explained anywhere.
If you have a video that gives this sort of detailed, can you provide a link. Thanks.
Your video is extra crispy. Nice
Build. Only time prebuilts were worth it was when the gpu market was still screwed and NZXT JUST came out with their new "bld" service. But now, the market has stabilized, and its better to build yourself, unless you're physically disabled in some way.
I've never ever built a PC but I know it only requires a little knowledge about the things you buy to fit in your case. If you know which part is compatible and incompatible then you're done because they explain better than videos in their User manual .
"Mate" garish is the only way to go! The Queen Mother herself would settle for nothing less than all-out décor! The adage that states, "Go big or go home" holds true on gaming PC's.
Always build, built a top end machine last night for just over a grand, an equivalent one would have set me back 3500 at least, it's also quite easy and very rewarding. If you're worried about miswiring or fucking something up it's pretty impossible to do unless you actually break something. Just take your time, read the manuals and use the internet, lot's of easy to follow resources that'll save you 2 grand
I think the rule of thumb should be build PC's that are mid end and under, and high end should be build professionally because if something in your computer breaks and you built it yourself, you are paying a lot of money to get that fixed, while if it was pre built you can just hit them up and use the warranty.
