I put in the RaceDeck brand of flooring a few years ago. I found it quite challenging to "snap" it together, but I haven't had any pieces break like you have. I looked at the pricing, and it is getting close to double what I paid for it though... ugh. I use it in a basement where my retro PC's are... massively better that standing on concrete, and still allows the damp to come out of the concrete.

I still love it but wish the red ones were a bit better
