Regarding Canon color science: Canon colour science is the best among all brands , no doubt. Here we are talking about the default colour what Canon gives right out of the camera. However, if we set the custom picture profile appropriately, we can go very close to canon colours with some cameras (to an extent that we hardly would see any difference). This however depends on what brand and category of camera you own and is not common setting for all. For all those who do minimal edit on your photos and videos, Canon is better especially for portrait skin tones.

That nailed it. The best comparion Ive come across. I have been looking for this exact comparison and I have the canon ecosystem, ie flashes, some lenses which I have been using with my 60D. Even though I have to invest in new STM lenses(since none of my lenses are STM and 60D can't make use of STM added feature and my lenses are pre STM era.. 50mm prime, 55-250 II, Sigma 17-50 F2.8, 18-135 etc), I now believe I will be happy with 90D. I was blown away by some comparison of ISO performance between canon and sony. But later came to know, its more evident only in videos. But now I am clear. Will get the 90D as soon as its available in the market.

I have both but I can assure you that Sony pictures quality and sharpness is way more superior than canon in every way. When it come to handling you can’t beat 90d. If you want pictures or video to push their limits in post then Sony it is. If you want simple yet good then canon.

Truly speaking in my opinion both the camera are not worth. You get something and miss something in both the cameras. As such one don't get complete solution from either of them.
Sony has the best ecosystem in the market. It has a better colour profile (world renowned). It’s wiser to invest in Sony lenses than in Canon. Let me put it this way: Professionals use Canon Legends use Sony Get over Canon-Nikon Syndrome.
For a good non-professional photographer, who is also interested in cinematography, will Canon 90D be the best option? (Landscape and wildlife will be the focus areas). Your suggestion will be appreciated.

6600 is a better option, also better than 6400. But keep in mind 6400 is still a value for money..
