To all parents of nonverbal autistic children please stay positive! I have a four year old son on the spectrum that’s nonverbal but just the other day he hugged me, kissed me on my cheek and said Ma ma I love you! I cried like a baby.

As a parent of a 6 year old autistic daughter that does not speak and barely makes any sounds, I found this inspiring and heartwarming for me. My wife and I are saddened by our daughter not being able to talk to us. But this video showed me there’s a chance my daughter can speak with a change in therapy. Thank you so much for this.

My son, who is 8, was a non-verbal autism who, one night out of the blue at bedtime, age 7, said, "Hi Mommy," clear as day. This moment, I felt, was more extraordinary than anything I have ever heard in my entire existence. My son spoke for the first time. Now, a year later, we can communicate with him and understand what he is trying to say. Mommy is better at it than I am. Mom has a gift for it. ;)P It was truly a sweet moment in my life I'll never forget. That moment we thought would never come. My heart goes out to those with similar experiences and those who are still waiting. ❤

i helped an autistic five year old talk for the first time, on total accident, i was helping my church and we had a nursery in the basement and i decided to help supervise the young kids, i was helping a little boy build a lego truck but because he was not telling me what he wanted to build he began to throw a fit, diagnosed with high functioning autism myself i knew what was going on, i heard him trying to say the word "truck" but only getting out the "tk" part, when i helped him calm down i slowly sounded out the word truck showing how my mouth moves to say the word, 15 minutes latter when his dad came down to check on him he shouted the word "truck" and then i saw his dad cry. months went by and he began to say more words and two years later he has a full vocabulary of any other seven year old

fun facts: the most common punishment for misbehaving in ABA is the
electric chair, it also degrades autistic people's personalty, worsens
autism, makes children who went thru ABA have a 98% chance of getting
PTSD, makes children who went thru it have a 72% chance of getting
kidnapped and just makes children who went thru it hide there autism
P.S: autistic children can talk to people but they just don't wan't to
and this therapy is actually ABA

I knoe an autistic kid who started learning how to talk at like 8 or smth. She can respond to some questions now. Always repsonds to yes or no, can say like up to 3 words per sentence and can repeat words told to her! Shes doing crazy progress. She is 11 now and maybe when shes adult she will talk like normal. He fact that your son can say a few words at 2 is a miracle. My past classmate was in special school bc hes autistic but he cant alk normally now. Dont loose hope

Really love this. My daughter (Sarah) was diagnosed with severe autism at 16 months. She is five years old now, she is still not speaking sentences. She make sound's 24/7. I did seek help but everyone that was sent to our home could NOT helped my child. I had to educate them in order for them to even start communicating with her. lord know I am devoted and dedicated to my child and because of that she now saying hi and bye bye (recently ) and yes she now know how to communicate nonverbal not sign language< by 8 years old my Sarah will speak. When it comes help if you don't have MONEY the process will take longer.... p.s It's NOT easy but you as the Parent have to have a lot of patient and give your child a lot of tender loving care (They need it ). Parents you need to be devoted, dedicated and advocate when it comes to your child.

My younger daughter turns 3 in September next month.
She is nonverbal, but expresses her needs by pulling our hand or bringing things to us.
She likes to spin involuntarily at times and bites us in case she is angry or frustrated.
She knows the alphabets and numbers by pointing at them.
She also enjoys climbing on things using support such as her tricycle or a chair bigger than her.
She knows usual routines by heart such as if we dress her up for ABA, she will impatiently wait for us to get ready.
We are giving her ABA at the moment, but will start with SLT soon.
When she was in her mother's womb, my wife's placenta tore midway into the pregnancy.
My younger daughter was also exposed to pesticide someone had sprayed in our house and also spent 22 days in the NICU on ventilation since my younger daughter was born with congenital CMV and caught a superbug in the NICU for which she was given damaging antibiotics to save her life.
Please keep her in your prayers so she can at least survive on her own independently and have a normal life before we are no longer in this world.
My wife and I watch her everyday and she cries watching our younger daughter bite out of frustration and being unable to fully express her emotions.
We both pray everyday and have changed our lifestyle by becoming more religious for our two daughters.

My son is 3 and gets frustrated when we don’t understand him too. He pulls us to what he wants or brings us things, he follows along nursery rhymes, knows letters, numbers, shapes, is very aware of his environment, dances and everything else typically
developing children do. I believe that eye contact and reading other peoples emotions are good predictors of speech acquisition. They will talk. My son gets ABA, OT, and starting next week, speech therapy. Our kids will be okay.

My 3 year old granddaughter is autistic and nonverbal. She is starting pre k on Tuesday. I wish that she could get this therapy because mostimes she makes sounds then she would utter a word very very low but will not repeat it. Wishing the best for this family. Enjoy the blessing. ❤

I get Dr Oyalo herbs supplements and it has been helpful on my child autism spectrum. All traits are gone with her speech and focus and attention is good to talk about.

I want a therapist like that for my son who is 7 and can't talk. He babbles. At age 1 and Half he started having over 200 seizures a day now its effect his speech and he has severe tantrums where he will tear our walls apart, we had a speech therapist for him but she refuse to come back after he threw a tantrum. I feel helpless I hope and pray my baby boy starts communicating with us. Oh I don't know what he's diagnosed with, the drs can't figure it out. God bless this family. Love from ky

This makes me sad for the parents who can’t afford therapy’s. Or couples who have one parent who won’t accept the diagnosis. My friend is going through this with her husband right now.

Talk to her/listen to her as though everything she says is brilliant. Rejoice at what she can do, forget about what she cannot. We, as a society, are too obsessed with what kids cannot do. What a boring world if we were all the same...

fun facts: the most common punishment for misbehaving in ABA is the
electric chair, it also degrades autistic people's personalty, worsens
autism, makes children who went thru ABA have a 98% chance of getting
PTSD, makes children who went thru it have a 72% chance of getting
kidnapped and just makes children who went thru it hide there autism
P.S: autistic children can talk to people but they just don't want to
and this therapy is actually ABA
