Really cool version of this song. I'm just starting to venture into alternate tunings , DADGAD being one of the easier ones to tackle. This video gives me a nice jumping in point. Thanks so much Andrew for posting this , i've gotten a lot from just this video. Cheers & keep playing !
What a treat typed in dadgad and up this came .A loit for me take in at my level of playing, but such a great sound and very well explained. Thanks for taking the time to share 👏👏
Is it true that your arrangement is based on the D mixolydian & blues hybrid scale? This would explain why this song sounds bluesy and has a C instead of a C#
Good question Juul - I ll be totally honest and say I don’t really know what scales this uses - I came up with this from playing around with the chords but in dadgad tuning and then trying different little variations. It s a good exercise to try and figure out the string arrangement part of the original song in this tuning. Thanks for commenting!
Yeah I'd look at it as D mixo with D blues penta tensions (F: the b3 instead F# at times). Both have the b7: C. The last chord G/B. V, II, IV(9), I. But I'm a keyboarder tryin dadgad :) nice vid!
Amazing and very interesting music🎶 video🎥.. Super like👌👌👌.. So peaceful and fun to listen. Thanks for sharing.. Do keep posting Warm regards and best wishes The UnknownManCub 👍😎👨🏭

Would of been awesome if u sat back some an centered yourself so I can see our fretting hand
Nice man !!🤘🤘
I like it played little more bluesy sounding. You're doing a very good job the way you do it, but I was taught to put a lot of blues emphasis in it.
Hey Andrew which Martin model is that you’re playing? It’s absolutely stunning. Love the heiring bone around the binding
Hi Ray, the model is an OM28E re-imagined and I agree, it really is a lovely guitar !

Great version by the way Do you have the chords for this tune? I would really like to learn it.
Many thanks
The way this is played is basically: D Am Gsus4 G
I shout like Dish washer: TAAAAABBBBSSSS!
Great lesson not have to try this out
2:45 mins in and two chords shown
Blimey. While we are young please get on with it
might be a better idea to play it and then teach it, less talking more rocking
@@richardgillette5759 hello, there is a separate video of the song being played through with no chatter whatsoever 😀
Sorry son!
Too much talk and not enough playing...get on with it!
