Test drove one and didn't even notice the hump on the driver's side. I would say it's a non-issue. Those comparing this with the TLX, A4, 3 series, need to factor in the price and resale value. A IS300 with V6 engine and all the options can be purchased for low to mid 40's and will have the best resale value. The competition is going to be far more money for a 4 cylinder engine. Even the G70 is more expensive and ready to be refreshed. The Lexus IS is the value play, even if it's not overly exciting.
None of the luxury competition will come close to the QDR of this Lexus but they should offer the Hybrid they sell in all the other markets. A manual ought to be available in a 'sports sedan'.
Great detailed review as always. Would you rate the IS on part with a BMW 330i/430i? That hump by the driver's right leg looks it could be a deal breaker.
Thanks George!!! I am in the market to buy one of these and had no idea there was a difference between the AWD and RWD engine, this was helpful! Expert at Crypto and Cars, good stuff.👍🏽😉
It only comes in the AWD and it's not a 'weird' hump because it serves a purpose. I think that because the infotainment system is so 'slim' in this car, it is more visible. But, many AWD have this in the front.
I tried and was like Nope.. It's so cramped and so old. They didn't even bother to update the steering wheel smh. A4 and 3 series both blow this thing out of the water. Even TLX felt way more upscale and modern

You also get adaptive cruise as standard, this was really important to me and was part of a $1500-2500 package on the competition.
Love the interior color...
It's elegant. Lexus.. Really beautiful new shape and look.... It's Japanese premium car always

Lexus 🔥🔥🔥👌👌👌❤️❤️❤️
Test drove it , loved it, bought it♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️There’s nothing I don’t love about my car 😀😀😀Lexus! Yes!!! Former Mercedes girl. Nailed it.
Recently bought one and the only thing i don't like, there are no cupholders at the back haha
Seems like a very nice car. The rear seating area is a big disappointment. North of 40k id expect more. Thanks for honest appraisal.

Does any body buy these any more? Seems so low
whole lot butter 👍
Lexus best reliability. But for a 40k car it should have wirless carplay. I dont believe any lexus has wireless carplay.
Considering that we need to account for inflation.. north of 40k is now considered the lowest for an entry sports sedan.

OMG that weird hump in the floor is horrible. I know other reviewers have complained about that.

Dissatisfied with the front leg room on this car
