This longplay covers just a simple arcade ladder. Sonic the Fighters is one of those fighting games where there aren't any character-specific endings. However, one of the cool things about the X360/PS3 port is that it includes a character that was cut from the arcade original: Honey the Cat, who SEGA fans might know from Fighting Vipers. Because of her status, I decided to do the longplay as her. I did manage to beat every opponent including Dr. Robotonic (as spelled in-game) who you only get ONE CHANCE to beat.
If you're playing this for yourself and are having a hard time, I have one tidbit of info for you; once you deplete your rival's barriers, the AI seems to go into full-blown panic mode and starts making careless mistakes. See the fights against Bark, Fang, and Metal Sonic as examples.
Dr. "Robotonic" lmao. And I'm guessing the Honey was the Amy they turned black? Also, why do you only get one chance to beat "Robotonic"?
Loved this game. Great soundtrack and fun gameplay.
Metal Sonic was where I discovered true, unfiltered, pure, venomous rage as a child though.
Pretty much a fighting game! A lot of people still remember this game! While it’s not perfect, it’s fun to look back on!
Sonic has literally tried so hard to be part of every graphical improvement! NEVER DIE SONIC!!
Only this version can make metal sonic and Robotnik playable

I enjoy playing this game back in 2006 on Nintendo GameCube on Sonic gem collection when my best friend brought this game to my house I still got this game on Xbox 360 and Xbox One it's a pain in the neck especially Metal Sonic he still keep my butt when I put the game on easy mode
This game's a guilty pleasure of mine. Sure this game is an unbalanced mess, but I do love to hop in for a quick Arcade run every now and again.
These in-game models look better than Sonic characters today.
Thanks a lot. although i did collect all the achievements & beat the arcade mode as Fang. it's been nice replaying this gem like a charm.
‘Revenge of Dr Robotonik’ , not the usual Robotnik
Sonic's first game in 3D graphics, even though it's spin-off title. Whoever is the composer that worked on the soundtrack must've worked on the soundtrack for The house of the Dead.
I didn't know than this game has a secret character, Honey the Cat.

I noticed that the credit's replays aren't prerecorded, but instead your actual recorded recaps of beating each character :O What a neat feature added in.

There a Game Over Screen when you finish the game! Usually, Game Over Screen appears when you lost

Sonic The Fighter this is the only game of Sonic to be made as Fighting game
Would it be possible to do another longplay for this but as Sonic?
