The Kaze bikes are beautiful, and the owner seems like a pretty cool guy too. Perhaps you could get a job working for Kaze bikes! Thanks for sharing yet another great video. 😁
@@TwoWheelCruise I think you would be a good asset for them. Into cycling and experience working for cycling company’s and speaks numerous languages and lived in Japan 👍🙂🙂
Congrats on the sponsorship! I just checked their website and their kansai and kanon bikes are definitely not $1000 usd. Kansai 2 with 105 (rim brakes) are 2000 usd. Kanon is 2505 usd, which is a bummer that it's twice the price mentioned in the vid.
Hello, thank you for visit our website. I work with Kaze. The price you found on Kaze website is international list price because we also having distributor and dealer network in some Asia countries so the price structure should be like twice time higher. However, that's true, USD1,000 of the Kansai2 105 rim was mentioned in video which is domestic retail price. I'm sure that you could get a bit more or less of this price if you buy within Thailand.
Thanks! As Rapeepat mentioned, the English website includes the international export prices. The domestic Thai prices are almost half that if you buy within Thailand.
Finally, an overview of KAZE 👍 I've been searching for reviews about their trifolding bikes, but also great to see something about the company! Looking forward to their bikes in action with you 👍
We just recently learned of the brand and couldn't find any English reviews, so I was skeptical at first, but that quickly changed to really impressed.
Wow what a nice company. That was really really nice of them to just drop everything and spend time with you. That aluminum mountain bike with the nice welds must have been hydro formed, really cool.
i've not heard of KAZE before this. what a passionate & humble boss he is. i guess most thais are generally nice & humble. the showroom is so perfect. with that kind of price and beautiful showroom nothing beats that. if i were you i would wait for the stock to arrive or better some percentages of sponsor from them. you'll be talking about KAZE on every videos and that's a great publicity or them. you're on the right track cruise gambatte!
We just learned about them before we stopped by their shop :) They are now officially going to help sponsor our channel, so new bikes coming up soon ;)
The white bike with the shiny logo looks great. After I had a mostly white road bike I went off the colour, but I think it was the white bar tape and white seat that put me off more than the frame or fork.
I also have a white road bike - it´s a Specialized Ruby Elite - just under 9km and it wait for IV training for me today. But always nice to see new brands and new ideas. I have a black and white zebra bar tape on it and black and white bottle cage.
You always do such an awesome job with your videos. I'm still new to cycling, but everything always feels relatable and is presented in an interesting manner. Congratulations on the sponsorship! Well deserved!
Sweet looking company building. It's not what you know, but who you know(Lawrence), that made this video(if I assume). That's awesome they gave you the whole tour. I really like the bike computer analysis. Thanks for sharing you two...🎥😃👍👌👊🚴♂️🚴♀️
That's really important most of the time. Lawrence was hosting us for a few days and mentioned this company was nearby. Glad we were able to ride by and get a tour, turned out to be a really good turn of events :)
Thuong and Cruise were gracious and thoughtful houseguests. I don't often get to host such lovely people who are also avid cyclists. Luckily, I had spare bikes to fit them both.
Always nice to see bike shops from other parts of the world. Love the bicycle fit kit system, I wish I could rent one of those for a few days. Good luck in finding your new bikes! Shop wisely.
👏👏👏😁congratulations to you both! And A big shout out to KAZE Bikes for helping you’s out. Looking forward to seeing the new Bike and Video Day! WahoOo….Two fans from Canada 😁🇨🇦🇨🇦
Wow! I’m super impressed. That has to be the biggest bang for the buck. A bike of such quality for around $1000 US is unheard of. If I was living in Thailand, that would be my bike of choice. The place is just beautiful, and so very clean. The bike fit technology gets top marks. They are truly on top of their game. I loved this video, Cruise. Thanks for sharing.
1000 USD is too much! I can probably get the exact same bike(without the KAZE logo, of course) for 899 USD, "somewhere" in China(where is frames are manufactured, I am not going to tell you where the factories are, ha ha.) See, bicycle component prices are jacked up for consumers the so called DIYers, the price the professional bike builders pay are way lower than the average end users. 30 years ago, a VCR being sold at an electronics store costs 150-200 USD to the end user, but what the retailer paid the manufacturer was maybe only 60-70 USD.
@@aliensporebomb well, one can pay big money for big name manufacturers, or you can less to a great company like this and get the same quality. It's a no brainer.
You both deserve the sponsorship, you have worked hard. Interesting to see this brand I’ve never seen before. That fitting system and equipment looks impressive 👍👍😊
Wow, the Kaze bikes look amazing! What a great place to visit. Can't go wrong with a red/black colour combination and Shimano 105. Looks like a great company so will be looking out for their bikes in the future :)
Wow ! What an impressive place, absolutely impeccable ! I am delighted to hear about the sponsorship deal, it could not have come at a better time for you . Does this mean you have now left Bangkok for good ?
Nice video. Good explaination and nice to know about different models. Is this brand completely chinafree? Which other brands in Thailand are chinafree?
You are thinking about road or mountain bike, but have you checked out the mountain biking scene in Chiangmai? I know they have some, but not sure how much. If you go road, you might want to think about your gearing as the northern areas of Thailand are quite hilly! I tried to find mountain bike trails around Hakuba, Japan and really only found a couple of areas with minimal trails. So I sold my Trek Fuel Ex 9.9 and hope I was right😀
My god, nice operation they have there for a "very small company"! Glad you guys are settling in and already having great things happening :) Can't wait to see you on your new bikes!
I guess it comes down to how well you feel to the style of your riding and the kind of course you may regularly start riding. Good luck finding your next partner bike!
Thanks for showing another part of Thailand away from the shady areas. I wish i could've bumped into you two in Japan. CVD put the squadoosh on my annual tour ride so I never travelled further than Sendai. I didn't know Thailand had a bike scene. Maybe I can make up for my missed ride and do a bike tour over there. Appreciate you two continuing your channel!
Getting a road or mountain bike will depend how good the road is to where you are and the places you want or planning to go to. Thailand and Vietnam road condition have huge varieties depending on what place you are going to unlike in Japan where 90-99% is smooth pave road.
great deal for UCI approved bikes! though not a fan of "Race" as side decals but i guess a repaint could always work but love the designs they got :D also the kannon had a cannondale feel of where the logo was
So that's a cool looking company. Professional set up. I like that white race version with the foil logos, though my current road bike is also white and its a color that is impossible to keep clean. Doing some poking on the website, it looks like the Kanon Race is about $4300 USD with a 105/Ultegra mix hydraulic. So that's definitely not entry prices, but its also not entry spec and for the components that's still pretty good value. A Tarmac SL7 ultegra Di2 is going to cost you around $5500USD before taxes and such. Is $1200 worth the full ultegra di2 setup? The 105 complete Kanon is only $2600. That's pretty good. That would be an Al frame in the US. The one thing I will say, considering everyone is skeptical of new companies, they did list the manufacturer of their frames on the description, Toray Industries. It seems they are heavily involved in aerospace as well. So, I'm guessing if Boeing trusts them enough for their jets, should be good enough for a bike. I think its cool that Kaze makes that information available
For some reason, the prices on the original Thai website are lower than the English website, so best to google translate that page if you are in Thailand. I guess the bikes will have to be marked up more though once they are exported. I didn't notice that they listed their manufacturer, so thanks for that information!
Cruise was riding my Giant Defy Advanced 2 with disc brakes and 105 groupset, this year's model. I brought my wife's Schwinn hybrid out of mothballs for Thuong. I put some Shimano RS road wheels on it, with new 28mm tires from Decathlon, to help her keep up. She did fine, and never complained. I was on my Litespeed M1, carbon fiber with rim brakes and 105 groupset, 2016 model. If I'm not mistaken, Litespeed got out of the carbon frame business and returned to their core biz, titanium.
Which we'll be doing Sunday. I do exactly as Todd suggested. I swapped wheels on my Giant Defy (shown in the video) in preparation. I'll be on 32mm cyclocross tires.
What! $1000 for the carbon bike with the shimano 105 group set? Can’t beat that, the bikes are beautiful, couldn’t touch that bike for at least no less $2500 here in the states…I agree with some of the comments regarding Thoungs bike size, my girlfriend is 5.6 and she was fitted and sold a 52” frame only to realize later that it was a tad too big, she should’ve been given a 49, you can always get a longer stem if you wish to ride more a crouched position, you have more options to size your bike up as opposed to getting the larger option then you’re up the creek without a paddle.
Nice video! Beautiful building they've got, and good value on that 105 build! However, they might want to rethink the Slash model, before they get sued by Trek.
I think 58. They're phasing out their 3 fold bike and switching to the Machi model. It is a lot more different than the Mobot though, different folding direction, internal cables, higher handle extension. Also, it's half the price of Mobot, so killer deal I think.
1k USD Carbon bike with complete 105 rim brake. That a bang for the buck. But that wheels look like a chuck of metal though. May have to upgrade to Superteam or SL carbon wheel they both start at 9,900 THB (if you have a tight budget).
Nice. Light weight wheels is necessery for Chiang Mai road. And another advice. You don't have to buy a bike lock. Because they are not useful for this country. Just don't let your new bike out of your sight.
In Asia we have a lot of Carbon bike with 105 in this price range, All come from China. but for the groupsets the price is same with other area in the world.
I like how the owner\boss is so chill. He's like yeah I have a lot of money and I own this company but I still want to walk around barefoot. I someday dream of giving that amount of f*cks someday hahahaha.
I saw a TCA box in the office. Might be nothing but also something as TCA is Thailand Cycling Alliance, an outfit formed to import the best bikes and accessories that money can buy. They have their own skyscraper in Bangkok and that main business and wealth is derived from oil exploration in the Gulf of Thailand and elsewhere.
Early in the video, the company's sign is shown at the entrance to the parking lot, for a brief moment. TCA is listed, and the oil consulting business as well (I think). This is TCA's new location in CM. The boss also has oil business meetings in the upstairs conference room.
I dunno about that kind of bike fit, my Neozigma bike fit was very similar in terms of the measurements to Thuong-chan's bike sizing. A 52cm frame, 90mm stem, 38cm dropbar and 167.5 cranks for me. What I'm comfortable with is (in Cannondale geometry) 48cm frame, 130mm -17 slammed, 40cm dropbar ( better for climbing than 38cm imo) then 165mm cranks so it's radically different from the professional bike sizing fit I experienced.
That's true, there's lots of different bike fitting methods and the science doesn't always work for everyone. This wasn't a full proper fit, but just to get an idea for recommended frame size. It might be good to size down though, hopefully they get some demo bikes for more size checking.
If I may suggest, instead of getting an mtb or rb, why not ho the middle way? Get a gravel bike? Gravel bikes are a cross between am endurance bike and cyclocross bike. Fast on the roads, easy and more comfy vs rb or racing bikes, good for long rides, and can handle trails well. No, not aggressive trail riding like mtb's, but good enough to pass through rough roads or trails. The difference vs xc rb is they have lower bb, longer wheelbase for stability, slacker fork angle, etc. But they can go 40kph easy like rb's. And they can go 40c to 42c typical with some even going as wide as 50c or 60c! Most especially if you put a 650b wheelset in a 700c bike! But even on 700c, you can go 40c-42c easy. Go for gravel bikes. You won't regret it. You get the best of 3 worlds - rb, cx, endurance rb, and a little of mtb.
@@TwoWheelCruise I assembled a 2015 Cannondale CX bike frame about 3.5 months ago. Then I got a kespor gsx gravel bike with 11 speed x 46/34t crank with Sram rd and sram rival shifters. CX and gravel don't behave the same. The cx was more agile, more responsive. But the gravel was like an endurance bike that could handle the rough roads with its 40c tires. It was fast on the roads too, like an rb. But it was more stable. Kespor bike cost me about U$800. Since I use it more on roads, I find cx or gravel bikes more appropriate. Even if you find yourself in bad rough roads or have to go some trails, a gravel bike will have a better ride than an rb. But not as slow as an mtb or as heavy. BTW, the kespor weighed in at 10.5kg. Disc brakes, cable actuated hydraulics. If you want the all hydraulic 10 speed GX 400, it will set you back U$1,100 in our country. Same frame. Cheaper gravel costs with 40c tires here are around U$500 and U$600 for a Claris 8 speed and 9 speed sora respectively. Both 2x cranks. That is way cheaper but have lesser group sets. Not sure what you can find in Thailand, but best to pick a gravel bike instead regardless of brand. Stick to shimano or sram gs. Sensa brand gs is also ok, and that is sram compatible in action. But if you can stick with Sram, the better.
Gravel bikes are hard to find in Thailand. It's just not a thing here yet. When i was looking for a gb two years ago, I went to the main Specialized store in Bangkok looking for a Diverge. I was told they had had them, but they sold very slowly, so quit stocking them. I ended up buying a Diverge in the US and flying back with it. Same with my friends who have gravel bikes.
Thais seem to draw a sharp line between road and MTB. And you see tons of MBs that never leave the pavement. Thai guys will put smooth tires on their MBs. But, finally, road bikes have caught on. As Cruise noted, Kaze can't keep up with the demand.
Welcome to Thailand ! Hope you get your new bike soon :) Btw, there will be a big cycling event coming up on 26th Dec. CHIANG RAI ROAD CLASSIC 2021 The registration is still open, but closing soon (12th Dec, I think ?) Anyway, enjoy your stay, ride safe & looking forward to your new vids in Thailand :D :D :D
at 7:34 by grand did you mean 1000$ usd? cause thats an awesome value bike then edit: ok just finished the video, do they ship to india? buying from them and plus shipping and packing charges is cheaper than buying a 105 aluminium rim brake bike
This bike was really easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
These bikes looked interesting so I checked out their web site. What he sells in Thailand for $1300.00 US he will sell to us here in the US for over $4000.00 US dollars. I will just put the money towards a Pinarello or a BMC instead. For an unknown and un tested bike I would want the frame scanned for constancy in the lack voids and checked for wrinkles in the carbon layup before I would consider spending that or more. Also, where are the frames built???? If in China, do they have their on people overseeing the quality of the builds?
They don't export in bulk yet, so the export prices are a lot higher now. Better to travel to Thailand and pick up the bike here if you can, still cheaper than other options. The bikes are tested and they are sponsoring some pro teams like Bike Aid who have been testing the bike.

So were the Giant bikes you were riding (shown in the outside bike rack in the video) rentals?
Our host had some spare bikes he was letting us use
Cruise was riding my Giant Defy Advanced 2 with disc brakes and 105 groupset, this year's model.
I brought my wife's Schwinn hybrid out of mothballs for Thuong. I put some Shimano RS road wheels on it, with new 28mm tires from Decathlon, to help her keep up. She did fine, and never complained.
I was on my Litespeed M1, carbon fiber with rim brakes and 105 groupset, 2016 model. If I'm not mistaken, Litespeed got out of the carbon frame business and returned to their core biz, titanium.
cool! we have to keep an eyes on this brand!
So jealous of the weather
MTB! But depends if there is anywhere to ride them? I like the idea if having onroad and offroad wheel sets/gearing, same frame just swap wheels.
Yeah, we need to learn the trails / routes around here
Which we'll be doing Sunday. I do exactly as Todd suggested. I swapped wheels on my Giant Defy (shown in the video) in preparation. I'll be on 32mm cyclocross tires.
Can you specify where the bikes are manufactured? Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the suggestion! Might be good to size down.
Maybe I am misunderstanding something but the prices on their website seem to be much higher than they were quoting you.
Check the Thai website for domestic pricing. The English website is for international export markets, so the price is almost double there.
Nice video! Beautiful building they've got, and good value on that 105 build! However, they might want to rethink the Slash model, before they get sued by Trek.
Beautiful bikes
We agree!
What's the biggest road frame size? Curious whether you think their Brompton copy is as good as your Mobot?
I think 58. They're phasing out their 3 fold bike and switching to the Machi model. It is a lot more different than the Mobot though, different folding direction, internal cables, higher handle extension. Also, it's half the price of Mobot, so killer deal I think.
are they looking for international distributorship? I am interested though :)
Possibly, I think they are planning to expand into other countries soon
What was the cost of that hardtail at 1:45? Sweet looking ride.
This is a custom pro rider build, so not sure. They have the stock version on the website I think, but probably less than $3k.
More bike shop tour please!
Definitely!
1k USD Carbon bike with complete 105 rim brake. That a bang for the buck. But that wheels look like a chuck of metal though. May have to upgrade to Superteam or SL carbon wheel they both start at 9,900 THB (if you have a tight budget).
Wheels are tanks and would definitely be the first upgrade. They have some nicer build options too which are still really affordable.
Nice. Light weight wheels is necessery for Chiang Mai road.
And another advice. You don't have to buy a bike lock. Because they are not useful for this country. Just don't let your new bike out of your sight.
Makes me want a Kaze!
the folders look pretty nice.
$1000 for a brand new carbon bike with 105? Incredible. Are groupsets cheaper in Thailand too?
In Asia we have a lot of Carbon bike with 105 in this price range, All come from China. but for the groupsets the price is same with other area in the world.
Wow $1000 for carbon with 105 R7000, that's a crazy good deal, makes me wonder how stiff the frame is and what grade of carbon they are using.
Pretty great deal. I think they have higher carbon grade frames for the higher end builds.
@@TwoWheelCruise it's basically the same price as 6061 aluminum road bike with Shimano claris r2000, I wish I could get my hands on one.
I like how the owner\boss is so chill. He's like yeah I have a lot of money and I own this company but I still want to walk around barefoot. I someday dream of giving that amount of f*cks someday hahahaha.
He was great and really welcoming :) I think his son handles a lot of the work now too, he was in meetings while we were visiting.
Have you found a good bike shop in Danang yet like this one in Chiang Mai? Is there a bike brand from Vietnam like Kaze?
You mention every figure except the most important one you can't change, top tube length
Oh come on XD that's just teasing now 😂
😁
Where are those dutch style commuter bikes?
Really cheap, check their website for prices (Thai page with google translate)
Holland
It makes sense. My last main bike was a CX bike, which I used to race on road and ride trails, which was great.
Thai roadies look at my Giant Defy as an oddity. "A road bike with 32mm tires?" Unheard of! But it's changing.
Cool. Subscribed!
Nice👍
Test out the smart trainer on another video. Maybe a reasonable alternative for many hours use during burning session?
Good idea
i hope you will be in their pro team too, ahahaha
I'm not that fast anymore haha, but who knows after a few months of riding here 😎
Welcome to Thailand ! Hope you get your new bike soon :)
Btw, there will be a big cycling event coming up on 26th Dec. CHIANG RAI ROAD CLASSIC 2021
The registration is still open, but closing soon (12th Dec, I think ?)
Anyway, enjoy your stay, ride safe & looking forward to your new vids in Thailand :D :D :D
Thanks! No road bike yet or car to get around, but I am hoping to try and participate in some events if I can :)
Do they also send a bike to Germany? What do you think, what they would charge for that in case?
Not sure which countries they are exporting to right now
@@TwoWheelCruise I will be in Chiang Mai end of december. So I will have a visit at their store.
they have xds jersey..do they have xds bikes? those are expensive bikes here in the Philippines
They had a few near the jerseys, maybe they are a distributor here
Kaze and Xds has manufacturing in the same factory in china, so yes they sell Xds products as well🙂
That’s pretty good deal on those bike thanks for info .
Thanks for watching! :)
It isn't quite often to be seen that stores or business establishments in Thailand require customers to take off their shoes, except in temples.
would Like to see a review of the Slash mtb for $1000. and how it may compare to a similar spec bike like Trek, Giant,Cannondale , etc.
Coming up! :)
at 7:34 by grand did you mean 1000$ usd?
cause thats an awesome value bike then
edit: ok just finished the video, do they ship to india? buying from them and plus shipping and packing charges is cheaper than buying a 105 aluminium rim brake bike
Yes, but cheaper outside of Thailand. I think they have some dealers in India though.
@@TwoWheelCruise the model which you showed (the popular one, road bike) costs 2250 usd in their site
@@TwoWheelCruise the kanon std with 105 costs around 2 grand
Do you know if you can there bikes in the uk?
Cool bike, wish they sold it here in malaysia
They try to buy you with T-shirt but spoiler alert next episode they give you free bikes XD
😁
good afternoon, tell me, you can order a frame to Russia, no one answers on the website, and writes that there are no usurers
My limited Japanese knew that Kami was a spirit or god, and as you say Kaze is wind so therefore KamiKaze is Divine wind.
Pretty much ;)
And it originally refers to the taiphoons that twice sunk the fleet of the mongolian invasion army.
Nice bike
Kaze race kansai2, nice look. Itslike pinarelo dogma or trek madone . 👍
Does it mean kimi-kaze?
Wowww...€1000 Carbon Bike 🔥👍
