- Welcome back to another Solo hike! In this weeks video I take a trip up to the Lake District National Park, more specifically the Northern Fells. Blencathra is a mountain that I had never hiked up before and I certainly was not disappointed! The sun was shining, the fells were glowing and it was a fantastic day out in the Lakes!

I'm catching up on some older hikes. Absolutely beautiful up there without a breath of wind at the beginning. Quite unlike the RUclips hike collaboration I did last weekend with Steven, aka A Tramp In The Hills. I'm still a small channel and would appreciate the support if you could be so kind. Just discovered your channel recently, Alex and really enjoying catching up on all your videos, not only for the Lakes which is very familiar to me, but I'm learning some really useful tips and walks for the Peak District which is new terrain for me. And I hate to add to the list of pronunciations for Souther Fell but I've heard it said, Sooter Fell as well, by a local... so take your pick! Looking forward to more videos.

Top notch video Alex! The Lakes is one of my favourite spots apart from the Peak District. I was there in February and it chucked it down, but it did not stop us, we managed to get out and even though the water was going over our boots it did not matter as we were having such a great time. Had lunch in a cave and arrived back at our accommodation thoroughly soaked but happy. 😀

I really loved this one Alex! I love Lake District videos but don't often see the northern fells featured, so it was really cool to see them. You're right, such amazing views! It really does look like it makes you feel very remote over there.
