These so called parents that allow their kids to run ragged and throw bricks around, being disrespectful, rowdy and possibly destructive are a disgrace.
Hey, thanks for sharing your Gibraltar experiences- appreciated your honesty - first time viewer! we were in Gibraltar a few weeks back (from AUS) we were totally confused about the ways to see the rock too! Ended up doing the cable car up & walking to see all the other things - in our own time etc - tunnels etc! Sooo far to walk it ruined our visit! Such a shame that there isn’t a hop on hop off like little tour bus / van that goes up & down! Happy travels!
Hi and thank you for your support from Australia, you are right it would make things less confusing as we was on our last day by the time we worked out the best way to see the rock. Was all very confusing at the time. Happy travels 😊
All of the taxi drivers are registered/licensed tour guides and will have photo ID on them. Where prices vary is when say 2 or 3 people want to be alone in a 9 seater taxi.. the taxi driver will want to make up lost money. Many websites will also display incorrect prices for everything (eg. a nature reserve ticket is currently £25 per person, at the time this video was filmed it was £19). The best advice I can give to visitors is to save money and get a Gibraltar Heritage Trust annual membership BEFORE coming to Gibraltar as it will save money on tickets for the nature reserve, museum etc. Online tickets aren't any cheaper than buying them at the booth where you have to show your online purchase to claim a physical ticket
Thank you for your feedback. Some taxi tours are legit and can be a good option however there are some out there that charge you a different price to what they say in the beginning when the journey is over. In some cases it has been double. We trusted our gut feeling in the end. Happy Travels 😊
We stayed there back in April, nice to see Gibraltar from your eyes as we have 2 wee dogs so limited. We actually got married there 11th April 😊 this year.
Congratulations on your marriage, Lee's mum was also married there too. It was different from what we thought it would be and it's definitely a place to visit just to see the monkeys if not anything else. 😊
i went on the taxi tour about 6 years back. yeh if its just 1 or 2 people it can be like 160 between you so 80 each isnt cheap. trick is if there is just 1 or 2 of you, hang around and maybe they will fill the taxi up with 4 or 5 people then ask if you can join there group. that way between 5 of you its like 40 euro each with tip. the cable car is 20 euro return so its worth spending another 20 cos you then get entrance to the cave and fortress up there.
Interesting you mention about the taxi rides. I have heard them saying to tourists that the cable cars are out of action to try and get passengers.. if a driver tries scamming you take their number and report them to the taxi company. They will be dealt with from what 1 driver told me.
I was in the RAF in Gibraltar 1980-1983 and earlier this year I returned 40 years later. I was dissappointed with how the rock has evolved since as it was my very happy place back in the day. I'd take a rough guess that your noisy neighbours were Spanish as this is normal behaviour for them.
Thank you for your service 😊I bet it was a great place back in the day, maybe not as busy as it is today. The neighbours were German as not many Spanish were there on this stop when we stayed. We found the Spanish respectful on our visit. Happy travels 😊
Hi, I've been 3 times to the rock by the taxis and to be honest they were great. They stopped to let us out along the way on the rock to see the sights, monkeys and cave. X
Hi, like we say make sure you take the official tours and I’m sure it’s a great experience. However there is also the scams. We are glad you didn’t get caught out by them and had a great experience 👍 Happy travels 😊
Been twice and had a great taxi tour both times , stopped off 4 times and the driver was born and breed said he had never left the rock . I was told to get one from close to the cable car and not do the ones in the square.
Brits wanting to be with Brits, same old story. If you are in Aragon and want to stay on my land you can free of charge, leave it as you found it, there are no Brits there.
Nice video - shame about the campsite! I was on Gibraltar last weekend for a couple of days and, unfortunately, the cable car was closed because of the winds. I did find a random minibus driver in Casemates Sq who offered a 4 stop trip around the Rock for €25. I had to wait a few minutes until he found 4 other passengers to fill the van but, I have to say, the two hour trip was pretty good and the driver was entertaining. The trip included a limited pass to the nature reserve which didn't include access to the caves etc but that was okay. At each stop we could wander around for 10-15 minutes and we saw the feeding station and the apes den plus a couple of other look out spots - all the drivers I saw had nuts for the macaques and would get them to interact with their passengers. I guess it's a shame that the monkeys aren't totally wild any more, but are becoming tourist attractions, but some are so cute!
Hi and thank you, glad you had a great experience even without the cablecar running which was unfortunate. The apes are great and it is a shame they’re not totally wild as they once were. Have fun on your travels 😊
We loved Gib 😁 I absolutely love heights though so i thought the cable car was brilliant going down 😂 We saw the taxi scams, they pestered us on the way through town. Shame you couldn't park facing the marina at la linear its a great Aire usually 💜xx
I think we was just having an unlucky time as nothing seemed to be going well over them few days 🤣 The rock was amazing and really worth seeing. Love the monkeys
I've heard before about their government however cannot comment on it as never lived there. It did seem very built up and busy just like Uk big cities and crossing the border was a different world, just our opinion at the time of our visit. Happy travels 😊
First the trouble was in Spain not Gibraltar with the kids and outrageous family. And secondly that does not surprise me for La Linea. Having been resident in La Linea in Spain for a number of years, and talking to other people who have moved to this area of Spain. Unfortunately its quite common that a lot of Spaniards from this area just have absolutely no regard for other people. They live in their own selfish bubbles. Whether its endless barking dogs, starting loud music at 2am and having kids running around. You see they eat so late, even 11pm, so the kids are still full of energy into the early hours of the morning. They don't give a crap whether they're rowdy for other people. I have camped in Spain down Tarifa way and up Ronda way and it was exactly the same thing. Kids running a mock at midnight screaming banging shouting, and the Spanish do not give a shit about anyone else.
Listening to your comnents on entering Spain from Gib please remember this refers to anyone who is not an EU resident. It has nothing to do with the EU controlling you as stated. We are British but hold a Spanish residence card. This refers to anyone who is not living in the EU. I think its called 'controlling your borders'. It has nothing to do with the Uk and in fact if the Uk had remained in the EU the UK would also be doing the same to anyone crossing its border outside of the EU.
These so called parents that allow their kids to run ragged and throw bricks around, being disrespectful, rowdy and possibly destructive are a disgrace.
Thank you for your comment. That was our thoughts, we have kids ourselves and things like that would just not happen. Happy travels 😊
Thanks for showing the Sapper plaque , Royal Engineers Ubique, great vid
We love to show the history of places and very proud of our military 😊 Gibraltar is full of great history.

Those taxi tours include all the admission fees for the caves and entry to the nature reserve plus you get a look at europa point .

Thank you for the constructive comment as that makes total sense. Maybe next time we will try it that way. 😊 Happy travels 👍

Hi, I've been to Gibraltar and I see this scam happen to a family. If it doesn't feel right walk away
It's shameful

Hi, thank you very much for the offer however we are back in the UK now and possibly back to Spain in the new year, happy travels 😊
My husband and I went to the rock by taxi up and down and got out and saw the monkeys who took our sunglasses
Oh no scammed by the monkey 🤦♂🤣Happy travels and glad you had a good experience 😊
Unfortunately because of Brexit the border in Gibraltar is harder for British citizens
Hi, yes this is definitely something we noticed on our trip. It’s a shame 👍
the camoing site is in Spain. NOT in Gibraltar.
Thank you for the comment 😊

Can’t wait to get to Gibraltar , not sure I’ll get kathryn in the cable car lol 😂
Just tell her to look down and all will be ok 🤣
Been to GB twice, loved it ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
Too much pointless chatter
Thank you you comment, happy travels 😊
I watch a program where the Royal Navy sailors ran up to the top
I lived there for four years. It wasn't good. Bent government, nowhere to park and polluted as he'll.
I've heard before about their government however cannot comment on it as never lived there. It did seem very built up and busy just like Uk big cities and crossing the border was a different world, just our opinion at the time of our visit. Happy travels 😊

Seemed to be the best way to do it, happy travels 😊
That’s my hometown
Amazing, the rock has great views and is very spectacular. Happy travels 😊

Gibraltar is no longer Gibraltar its an expensive over built eye sore it was once very very beautiful but no longer.😡🐺
It's such a shame it's not what it once was, it was very expensive and looked over crowded.
campervans disgorge their economy culture ,generally ruin nature and biock roads yecchh
