@biggedogg Too cumbersome. I'd have to constantly adjust the angle of the camera or constantly reposition my body over what I'm looking at. Too much motion for me to deal with and edit out. Holding the camera allows me to have complete control and more fluid motion of moving the camera.
Gorgeous isn't it.My sister has a teddy bear called Oliver,he wears a green velvet waist coat under his suit.Gold rimmed glasses,a passport and she takes him on her travels
When I used to go to Estate Sales to buy for resale, I always felt a bit like an intruder, a voyeur, and a caretaker of the deceased people’s things. Of course the deceased didn’t care and the estate sale people and the relatives were happy to have things sold off, but it is somebody’s life we are picking through. Maybe I am waxing nostalgic because soon enough people will be doing that with my stuff. I like that Renee picks many items for her own collection AND respects and enjoys the items she keeps. It is a delicate balance to make money and to also respect the previous owner, IMHO. Renee does the balance well.
Whether or how you get paid, I'm very happy to be brought along. Seeing what people have collected and kept over many years is fascinating. As well as seeing the kinds of thing that have been made and the changes in manufacturing and in taste in all that time. It's history.
I love when you talk about getting “paid”. For you, it’s more about the experience, whatever you’re able to film and pick and helping your friends! It’s like you “barter “ your time with Taco Stacks & Tony. The three of you compliment each other & each of you look for different things. Thanks again for another fun video!
Great find! Loved the angel with the musical instrument. I almost died when you pulled out the white bell with the deer on it. That’s my favorite ornament from childhood and I still have it. Great find!! 😃😃😃😃🎄
Oh, boy...thanks for taking me along...on another virtual adventure! I see the "old piano roll blues"! God...another Corning Wear Coffee Pot...seems as everyone, including us, had one!!! Looks like a German Soup Tourine. Picturing mom, dad, and the kiddies dipping in with the ladle, filling their bowls to the top! The mini suitcase would be great for your buddy "Pam"...when you take her on your next trip! Yep, with pots and pans on your table...I'd pass you by...but Lionel Train stuff, Frogs, 78 records, vintage radios and phonographs...you'd have a hard time getting rid of me! Put a nice elegant glove over the "wholly" hand. We had strings of those early Christmas bulbs...still have some of them...from the late 1920's-1930's. Well, when I become an old-old guy...I'll send you an invitation to clean out my domicile!
@@PaperandMoose Yes...not a "Tourine", However! As a side note...I love soup...I make a delicious fresh vegetable-chicken soup...nothing like it one a damp fall day!
I heard the lantern bugs were bad in areas of the US this year. I lol'd when I saw the *umph hat. I learned a saying in NZ. It's all swings and roundabouts. Basically meaning that, when you might lose on some, but the time and connections you invest in are never really a loss, and if you're having fun helping, you're never losing. You get to your destination, none the less.
How fun! A treasure hunt! 🤩 Love the mini Christmas pieces, they're so special. Perfect for tiny houses, or a small shelf. Love the Christmas bulbs too!
It's time for the percolator is now stuck in my head.....That looked like so much fun! The lil people you found in the tin can are sooooo cute...You are a good friend!
That was the most epic retro basement!! That panelling and carpet! The bar! The fireplace! The pool table! I would buy that place just to keep that basement exactly as it is.
What fun things to go through. Hurray PAM has a suitcase. 🧳. To cute. You did great getting his self organized too. I just love tiny things. Great job on the items in the can. That’s a tiny nativity scene. I’d say you got a good friend. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 ~ Texas
So awesome you were able to take your time and pick through the house. Glad you found some more treasures. That hand will be a perfect holder for items when you take pictures. I love those little Christmas candle holders, adorable 😍
Loved the video thanks for sharing I had to have a outpatient surgery own my back Friday plus I lost my son and the videos are like thearpy to me I will be watching for the next thanks again for sharing your finds take care God bless 🙏🙏
Hi Renee. I enjoyed everything this clean out. The things you find for your friend and for yourself is fun. Do not worry about it. What you find in Christmas or small vintage items is all the fun you need. God Bless you dear sweet Renee. Stay safe, and really be careful of the mold. It is not safe. When you clean the stuff, please wear gloves. Maria. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘😘😘😀😀😀😀😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😘😘😘😘😘😘
Renee another great 👍 estate tastefully done. Love it when you find thing's And you light up. Hopefully more will come your way and as always we the vlog viewers enjoy your every event as always thank you for your vlog and bringing us along. You make our day as always. God bless you 🙏 ❤
I love the little nativity. It is so pretty. I hope all the pieces are there, especially Jesus! You will get you own house clean out, I just know it, and it will be full of all the things you love. Please stay safe and be careful! ❤
Hello Renee . This was so much fun. The basement looks like a 60/70s still . I have one of those little angle girls you found in the can . There adorable. I hope your friend and or yourself find more clean outs because you enjoy yourself so much when you do them enjoy the rest of the weekend. Take care 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️☕️🫖☕️🫖☕️🫖🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯
It's always so much fun to watch you go through cupboards and basements. I got necklaces and bracelets for $1. each this week. No rummage sales again this year. Tina
Not sure if anyone commented on this but photos can be immersed in water. The paper is made to withstand that for the developing process. So any mold or mildew could be easily removed. A small amount of mild dish soap helps. Use cool water, not warm or hot. Same with slides and negatives if those ever come up.
Rene, I used to have my tourism office located in a small Native American museum in the Pacific NW. You can imagine that many historical items are irreplaceable. One of the major things they did to kill “bugs” (real bugs, sadly) including mold was to place in a zero degree freezer. You may be able to salvage some of your paper goods that are minimally damaged this way.
i would have loved the fireplace. Saw a couple of older bottles at the bar, many people started home bars during the pandemic so some of those older bottles may become quiet collectible.
That thing that you thought might be a cookie jar at first looked like a Rumtopf. You layer run and seasonal fruit for weeks. Then you can eat the fruit over ice cream or use in desserts and the rum can be used in recipes or drank
You found some great treasures. I know that you have explained that you really only care about finding the things that you like...old Christmas, old T-shirs, old photos etc but sometimes when you pass over some things and you don't take/want them, it is hard for me to watch. Like in the dumpster you found a couple pieces of clear depression glass and you didn't want them and in the basement you found a carnival glass punch bowl and just sluffed it off. I mean those items would sell for sure on ebay or the flea market. It is hard to watch sometimes when you just pass over some great treasures.
I hope you take a closer look at the doll clothes, PAM might just score a new closet full of outfits! I was looking at the Corning ware with longing! I love cooking with my Corning ware. Hope you find items you are fond of. ✌🏼❤️
I'm trying to do this before I pass into infinity and beyond(think about that). I would rather give my stuff and my parents stuff to people who would appreciate it. The big stuff will go for auction. Wish I had some logo T shirts but I didn't buy any. Hmmm. Maybe I should go through the boxes again with you in mind. I recently started buying my clothes at Goodwill. Most still have never been worn. A coworker benefitted from my foray as I found an exquisite designer wool coat ,size 2, for 16bucks. Lined in charmeuse. The wool probably sold for hundreds of dollars a yard. I have a collection of Medieval books which I will give to the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism). It was so much fun to recreate the 14th century and invent the person I was. It was a kick to have many "hats" ask where I got my costumes. I made them. I hand painted period appropriate scenes on them. (Hat=a crown from baroness to king). I know these books will be cherished. So vivat, huzzah, curtsy,curtsy.curtsy. I am saving a 1350 costume to be buried in. And since most of my family live into their 100s I have plenty of time. I am retired and moving to my mental health place of homesteads, country everything, creeks, hollers, and Hills. Or, I could leave all my stuff for you to sort out. I could put that in my will. Hmm. Renee, what if a bunch of us put you in our wills. You could have a job that would last forever!!! 😁🤣😂😉😇🥰🤪🤑🤔👹❤🧡💛💚
Intresting! Hate mold. Whenever I see these houses so full of things in every corner, it makes me more sure I need to yard sale a bhnch of my things 😣 hate to burden famiky with the task. I was told once that a good method of purging is to move every so many years. Anyways, nice items. 👍👍
What is wrong with helping a friend? If you found nothing for you, you would have the feel great of helping a friend and spending time together. Boy howdy! I love tiny little things too. They are just sweet. Special. 🤷 Another video I loved. It's a cute home for sure. Not as cute as that young lady that found her some vintage Christmas. ❤️😘💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✌️👶🏞️🏞️🏞️🌞🐦🐦🐈🐈🎶🎶🎶
Hi hon, at 1:03 there on the wall above the couch is a picture of 3 ladies picking through a field. It's called the Gleaners, do you still have it and if so how much are you selling it for and thanks for being cute as a button as always!

I agree with you! I dislike it when people disrespect items at estate sales. I feel we, as buyers, need to respect their life.
Whether or how you get paid, I'm very happy to be brought along. Seeing what people have collected and kept over many years is fascinating. As well as seeing the kinds of thing that have been made and the changes in manufacturing and in taste in all that time. It's history.
I just love finding vintage Christmas too!

The loop things on glasses are temples, the piece between the lens is a bridge, the part that holds the lens is the frame.
I cannot believe it! My allergies are kicking in

I just sold the Napco bone china boy and girl mini candleholders you pulled from the can for $30 on eBay, just fyi 😊

I was wondering if those were player-piano rolls then you turned at 2:55. That basement was a time capsule!

I suggest reaching out to the Smithsonian regarding the glasses case because they may be able to help you rescue.

All that corning ware and that corning ware coffee pot is rare ...idk different ppl like different things .
Greenfield, Mass. is one hour from me.
I think the green hand may be a ring holder.
Are they little candle holders? When I was little my sister had them. So they are old I am 65.
Maybe you can clean the glasses cases. Are they leather?
All that corell is worth money& coffeepot.
