    Advice I learned the hard way going through divorce: As soon as you two decide on following the separation thru to divorce get a written document notarized from this date on stating he is responsible for any of his own accrued debt thats began from this date on, and you yours. Otherwise since you are still legally married bill collectors can come after spouse cuz you're still legally attached to each other until divorce is completed.

    • @aug07broken
      @aug07broken Год назад +4

      Hi, ty for this advice! Is this just something I can hand write, like a self-attested statement and then get it notarized? Thx again!

    • @lenarobins2480
      @lenarobins2480 Год назад +2

      @@aug07broken i don't see why not as long as its legible. And both parties sign it. Once its notarized its a legal document. Comes in handy if soon to be Ex spouse tries to make big purchases and then doesn't keep up on payments like a vehicle and such, or in my case if you each have your own vehicle Already, mentioning he's taking sole responsibility for ( list his vehicle) and you for yours (list your vehicle) so if his gets repoed after date of notarized split it can't be held against your credit.

    My son started going to his dad's house at about 6 months old. He just turned 7 years old. It definitely gets easier to be alone. And the guilt will subside about making up for being a split home. This will become their normal and they will appreciate being in two happy homes instead of one unhappy home. I learned to embrace the alone time. I used to spend all day in bed crying because he was gone. Now I look forward to it sometimes. The first night is great for me. Then the second day is harder. But I know it's important for him to spend time with his other family. And I have learned to trust that he's being taken care of by them. I see his "other" family as more people that love him.

    I’m a MESS during my separation and impending divorce. Here is what I’m starting that has helped. Just me, not saying is good for everyone. Back to church, reading,volunteering, gardening, hiking , in counseling snd joined the YMCA. 56 years old and the jerk is paying me half of his income and half of all OUR assets. So I’m not working. Sucks but it’s getting better. I have to force myself to out outside away from home , do something once a day at least. We got this woman! 😊

    I thought I would never get married again after I had my short huge mistake marriage at age 26. I seriously thought I would be single forever. Ten years later I met my hubby and he is the best. Most of the time in the thick of divorce you think you will never get married again but never say never!

    Hope the mediation went well and that you will post a new video soon, keep us updated :D Regarding hobbies - after divorce I went to a dance class for a year and when the teacher started with aerial yoga lessons I tried that out and have been doing it ever since, over 4,5 years now. LOVE IT! I've always loved hammocks so it's really great and fun way to move myself, do a bit yoga, bit strength training, but most of all I love all kinds of tricks - upside down, somersaults etc. You know they say it's important to let your inner child have fun even when you are grown up? Those tricks really do it for me. Aerial yoga classes can be very different - some are really acrobatic and sporty, some more chill (I'm attending the last type).

    I am a divorced introvert and my advice to you is to not force yourself to be extroverted. It won’t make you happy and you won’t follow through with it. Some great hobbies for introverts are running, crocheting, painting, cycling, etc. From there you may meet some other introverts who won’t overwhelm your energy. I am INTJ.

    If you guys are amicable you shouldn’t do mediation imo. Find a lawyer to consult in alone what you’re entitled, if they agree do 50-50 or whatever you agree on, and file a joint petition. It’s cheaper but only if you’re amicable and in agreement and one party isn’t trying to take advantage of the other

I don’t know if the gospel has ever been shared with you, but if I were you, try to find someone, a Christian person you are comfortable with, to share it with you. Then find a women’s home Bible study group to attend. An honest Bible study group should only have two rules, love God and love your neighbor. Jesus and I found each other when I was 19. I married a divorced lady with two children and we had one of our own. I have been, mostly happily married for 34 years. The key to my happiness is putting God first. Hope all works out with you. Salsa dancing! It was the best thing I ever did. You meet tons of men and women partner dancing and bonding with ladies learning styling. You dress up cute! It’s exercise. And the dances are short and if you don’t like someone, it’s easy enough to avoid them. I have friends for life from this.

    Girl, I get why you wouldn’t want to get married again but god designed marriage for a reason and when we have Him In it as the center then marriage becomes a completely different animal. I’m a good way. So just keep an open mind about that. Not all marriages lead to stupid lawyers and fees. Also if you feel so inclined- join a church! Texas has amazing churches! Don’t know what part you’re from but my church just started a new one there called compass Bible church: they literally have groups for everything! And I’m sure lots of new people to meet and not too mention your kids will have faith based values growing up! Not trying to tell you what to do or how to love, just offering my two cents cus I adore you and love you like a real friend (even tho you don’t know who the hell I am 🤣🤣🤣). Also my sister married a man with a child. The man is amazing the child and the ex wife are not…as another follower commented…TREAD LIGHTLY. My poor sister who is the best person ever has to deal with a world of BS!
    Falling in love with a great guy and having another child might be a great path you never knew would happen. Not saying it will happen but you never know.

    I’m super into astrology but I’m equally as into Enneagram. I love enneagram. Take the test if you haven’t already! Have you tried pottery? Could be a fun hobby! And super relaxing!

    Do you think that maybe if you made some changes to the house update your space and make it completely your own and your own style. It might make you feel better?

    Conventions... There are house, garden, media, gaming, art and pop culture conventions. Definitely brings you out of your shell but also lets you peak into other hobby cultures and you can make new friends with those same interests.

    Its the freedom for me too! I am introverted so I wanted to be outside but not with people necessarily. I kayak and hike! Both are so peaceful. the PEACE is worth the divorce for me. Highly contentious divorce, angry ex is always coming after me. It affects our kids, so to be able to go outside with them, or just myself, is super freeing and peaceful. When you are stressed, go outside!

    One thing you can do to get out is to join a local singing group. Sweet Adeline’s International has choruses in cities all over the world. They sing “4 part harmony in the barbershop style’. There are also local chorales choruses to sing with ( for example the chorus here in Wilmington NC is focusing on patriotic songs for it’s spring program.

    Mia keep up the great work. If you would like to learn wood turning I would be glad to mentor you.
    Can I be one part of your family? Happy to support you and the kids.
