I just found this group singing "Let's go down to the river to pray." It sounds like they have their own unique musical heritage, and I am totally loving this. I can't get enough !!!

I really do like the music it's amazing. I have got a question and I was wondering if someone could help me with it. I have watched a lot of these videos now and have always wondered what dose all the different head dress mean that the women wear? I hope someone can help me with this. I am just curious that's all. Thank you Regards Richard.

It is the custom of various stripes of churches, being an application of the Apostle Paul's teaching (in I Corinthians 11):
"For if a woman does not cover her head, let her also have her hair cut off; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her cover her head."
The "SCMC", a sort of music school, relates closely to many Anabaptist groups, among which (but certainly not only) are the Mennonites, German Baptists, and Amish, who have perhaps most obviously kept this custom in different styles and degrees.
. The Apostle Paul, however, did not mention Mennonites in his letter, but "the churches of God", which could well mean all Christians everywhere.
Cheers! and peace to you, from the Lord.
