Beautiful video footage showing the elegance of this fine ship. This ship has been built with capabilities to sail on the wild and sometimes dangerous Atlantic many miles off the west coast of Ireland on defense patrol maneuvers. May all who sail on her are safe!
Isn't Ireland part of NATO ? If it isn't, it should be. Those nice warships might become a valuable addition to the North Atlantic coalition in case of war.
@@rainbowseeker5930 Ireland is not part of NATO but has defensive pacts with the UK. In a war time scenario in which Ireland is attacked the UK would get involved. The royal navy also does its duties on republic of Ireland waters because of this. (usually just checking if fisherman are fishing legally and policing stuff)

Nicely done Irish Navy.. Go kick some arse!!💪
That's 50% of the active Irish Navy you're looking at there...
All they have to do is pay the sailors a decent wage, but the government just won't do it for some reason
@@mcallahan9060 fucking all of it!

Irlanda tiene el potencial para construir sus barcos de guerra ya que en sus astilleros se construyo ese barco gigante el titanic😊😊😊
Lower Glanmire? I grew up in Cork.
The Irish should spend money on their air force so that they are not reliant on the brits for their air defence
The Brits aren’t Ireland’s enemy, just be thankful that they do protect them as Ireland are definitely Europes weakest.
Well
All this ship ,is just a patrol one ?
She's so beautiful)

Is this one of the ships they bought off Greece ?
I don't think we've ever bought a ship from greece, this one was purpose built for the Irish Navy in England
Look a submarine
This ship with all of its fire power, really contributes to the defence of Europe.
Why even bother putting a gun on it,its never going to be used.
Primarily to force illegal vessels to surrender for boarding, but also for self defence against the likes of pirates while abroad
It's so quiet
Irish navy,snorts.
Just a River Class patrol vessel with attitude. It is however a start . Ireland needs to join NATO and start spending on maritime security.
No, it's an OPV.
Ireland will never join NATO
You need to join an alliance of countries that share your values.
