Infectious etiology of Alzheimer’s disease, postulated for decades
So, is SARS-CoV-2 infection associated with increased risk for Alzheimer’s disease?
    Retrospective cohort study
    N = 6,245,282 older adults (age ≥65 years),
People with COVID-19 were at significantly increased risk for new diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease
Within 360 days after the initial COVID-19 diagnosis

Our findings call for research to understand the underlying mechanisms and for continuous surveillance of long-term impacts of COVID-19 on Alzheimer’s disease
Not clear whether COVID-19 triggers or accelerates development of Alzheimer's disease
SARS-CoV-2 has been associated with inflammation and central nervous system disorders
Prior infections, especially viral infections, and inflammation

We thought we had turned some of the tide on it by reducing general risk factors such as hypertension, heart disease, obesity and a sedentary lifestyle
Now, so many people in the U.S. have had COVID and the long-term consequences of COVID are still emerging.
It is important to continue to monitor the impact of this disease on future disability
Plan to continue studying the potential effects of COVID-19 on Alzheimer's,
    and other neurodegenerative diseases,
whether certain populations may be especially vulnerable
Assess, any drugs could be repurposed to treat COVID-19's long-term effects

Lost teeth, couldn't get treatment but was able to eat. New theory for Alzheimer is oral disease being a contributor.
Got the 1st vaccine in April 2021, and the second and her mild mental decline accelerated month by month and she died in March 2022 not even recognising me the last I saw her.
She got Covid from the hospital in her last days.

My Brother in law is 61. He worked a full time job and had no problems to speak of. He got the first covid vaccine and then his first booster. With in 24 hours of that booster he started having problems. First he started having tremors in his hands and then the tremors spread to other parts of his body. Soon he was shaking all over. The doctors were telling him he had ha bad reaction to s cold medicine that he hadn’t even taken recently and that he had taken numerous times over the past 30 years with no problems. When I looked into it, this is apparently what they are telling lots of people with the same problem my BIL is having. Despite us telling him not to, he went and got a second booster on the recommendation of his doctor and now he is nearly catatonic. He can barely speak and his wife has to help feed him. I read about this vaccine causing a prion like disease in some people and I believe this is what my BIL is suffering from. He can’t remember what he did 5 minutes ago, he shakes all over all of the time. He can’t sleep because of the shaking. He nor his wife (my husband’s sister) will even hear of the notion that this was all due to that vaccine. My BIL can’t even discuss anything now but before the last booster, he could talk to people and he didn’t want you to mention that it could be from the vaccine. I think it’s because before they got the first shot my husband and I begged them not yo get it because we thought it was just too experimental and not worth the risk. Also, my daughters father in law had just turned 70 and had just gone to the doctor for a physical and had an EKG and a stress test. He lived in Australia. He got the first vaccine and then just dropped dead 2 days later while on his daily 20 minute walk (40 minutes round trip) to some shops he visited every day. He had multiple blood clots. Another friend of ours in their 50’s died from the same thing within a couple days of the first booster. I think these vaccines are dangerous.

Furthermore, those who have metabolic syndrome are likely to have more severe and longer duration infections.

Interesting comment he made about systemic viral diseases affecting the likelihood of dementia. My dad developed dementia around age 69/70 and died of it at 74. My mum often wondered if it was connected to him contracting malaria during his years in the Navy during the war, and relapses of it for a number of years. They nearly didn't get married (1943) as he fell sick with it en route back to the UK for their wedding, they hadn't seen each other for many months and mum got a telegram saying "Regret I cannot marry you", to which my grandfather (mum's future father-in-law) declared, "There'll be a bl**dy wedding, I've saved my egg rations for 6 months for the cake".

Loss of enough neurons can cause it so if he got a viral infection and it messed his brain cells enough then yes that can very well be a catalyst. There are many types of dementia and how they get to the damage they cause but one thing that doesn’t change is if any where that neuron death or damage occurs and what mechanism it occurs by determines the type of dementia.

Well, this is disturbing.... I refused the jab because no one knows the long term effects (still). I had a fairly mild case of delta (they thought) about 14 months ago, at the age of 65, have resumed normal life with zero social distancing and have not caught the bug again (unlike practically everyone I know who did get the jab; they've had COVID and some of them more than once). I am otherwise disgustingly healthy (no heart or lung disease, no diabetes, no obesity) but I have a strong family history of dementia (both of my parents and my maternal grandfather). Aargh. I've joked for years that the only thing guaranteed to work flawlessly every time is my forgetter, but I am getting a bit more forgetful these days. Scary.

Yes, agreed. But I'm curious how many people in the 'didn't have covid' group actually did but were entirely asymptomatic. Maybe they tested blood before going into the trial and could see antibodies or not? But that seems like a lot of people to do blood tests on. I'm extremely healthy for 61, didn't have the vaccine because I want to stay that way, but 'might' have had a sniffle for a day in 2020. firstly thank you so much for your research and time you give us all every day.
I'm so happy you brought up the alzhiemers problem.
this is what happened to my Mam.
she was totally independant and had no cognitive problems. she did everything unaided and actively involved in community organisations. her memory was terrific.
we both went to get the vaccine at the chemist 3pm. whilst in the chemist we walked around smelling and trying on perfume..
after the vaccine..Astrazeneca..went home..she made dinner and had no effects..not even a sore arm. she went to bed 10pm.
7am the next morning I went into her bedroom as she was not up.
this is what happened..she had totally lost her memory..completely as well as this she couldn't walk and vomiting for a week...she was bedridden and lost her sense of smell. Dr said not to worry as this was one of the severe side effects of the vaccine...I was not happy with diagnosis after 1 week and went to a specialist with her..he advised he had had so many patients see him about the vaccine effects. he was concerned and did numerous tests.
unfortunately we have been told nothing can be done.
end result my mam has alzhiemers..lost sense of smell..vomits at least once or twice a week.
her life has been severely affected by the vaccine and she is totally reliant on me to survive.
she cannot be left on her own.
all this happened suddenly within 9 hours of the vaccine.
I now know of two other women who have had the same symptoms straight after the vaccine.
just thought you might like this information

    • @lechatel
      @lechatel 2 года назад

That is a big factor. The rise of the use of poisonous and inflammatory seed/veg oils, together with Big Food's propaganda against natural saturated fats such as butter and lard etc is largely responsible. The brain is basically made of fat and water. The cells require good fat to thrive and repair. The massive over-consumption of Omega 6 fats compared with Omega , together with harmful 'low fat' diets, is leading to Type 3 Diabetes. (aka alzhiemers) Trying to build strong brain cells crappy junk food fat is like trying to build a house with papier mache. It isn't going to last.

Had cvd right at the start, before the stab was created - so took my natural immunity along with magnesium, vit D, vit K2, zinc and copper - had cvd again literally for a day and a half earlier this year, but mentally never felt better - if you asked me - cvd isn’t the issue, but the stab !!

Well its a good thing we arent asking you. Cant help but wonder how the vaccine contributes, but rest assured covid definitely has these effects. I knew these consequences would happen looong before vaccines were even around the corner because i paid attention. Just a shame, really.

Thank You Dr. John. So many doctors are padding their pockets acting as if they don't know what is causing these symptoms. I have many. Not spending all of my income in the Dr''s office. It is sad I was in such good health for my age before covid. Praying that I will improve with time. That is questionable. God bless you sir.

I really wish they would split out jabbed vs unjabbed in these reports but that might lead down roads not desired. Another thought is as you get older you get into routines and disrupting them with a lock down may have had serious adverse effects in us older people. You no longer socialize, go though all your daily chores and just sit and stare at the wall. Had that talk with my 80 year old mom in the early days. She was going nuts not being able to do her church chores, clubs, and the like. It was really eating at her to the point she was thinking of getting a anti depressant to counter it through her doctor. I talked her out of that and called her every Sunday night to chat for an hour or so. Seems to have helped and now she wants me to stop calling so much so I call every other week or so.
Point is, is this issue from the disease, the Jab, or the lockdown?

My dad is displaying cognitive decline. Noticed it several years ago but it was a pretty sharp decline. Not Covid related but poor diet and health. He let his hypertension go unchecked until he had a stroke. Also poor diet has led to stage three kidney disease. He had chosen not to change his diet or exercise. It’s a shame that his conditions were not treated early due to lack of insurance. I wish we took better care of our people. I truly believe a lot of these issues could be avoided with better health care in the US.

@Melissa -sorry to say that, but „better care” doesn’t start with magic pill or doctor. It start with within us . Better understanding what we can or can’t put in our mouth to make us feel better. .. All inflammation in our body are made by us. .. what we eat. .. and how we eat. We should be our own doctor for our own body. Either we can feel better or we can get sick. .. not knowing for a long time. It’s a knowledge that most doctors wouldn’t like us to know.. for obvious reason. But provide us with magic pill ...or treatment. So sorry about your father, but like you said he didn’t wanted to change his diet. People will do whatever they want and nobody can stop them.

My best friend for forty years had to watch her dad go from completely normal to full on dementia in a couple of months. Scary, crazy, violent episodes, naked out in the yard, carted off in an ambulance. He had all the safe and effective meds. Drs could not work out how it hit him so quick when 5 to 10 years is the usual progression. He improved over many months then was suddenly riddled with cancer. Rip kev.

Dementia's a terrible thing. You often hear older people saying there was never so much of it years ago. I do wonder if it's the penalty we're paying for living too long. My mother started going downhill about the age of 80 and eventually spent her last 5 years in a nursing home. She had no 'life'. What are we without our memories? She would have been better off passing at 80 and avoiding 10 years of misery. No connection with Covid in her case.

We never had it before, because we never had the medical "treatments" we had before. Alzheimers medication is shown to actually make things worse.
