I can not explain just how helpful this tutorial is. While Clip Studio's asset sharing feature is a wonderful thing, Nothing beats the feeling of creating each piece of the art yourself, even down to the "Shortcuts" such as foliage textures and stamps. This video helps show that with a little patience and critical thinking, you can create brushes that perfectly fit your needs, even if all the options make it seem daunting to begin with. Will definitely be forwarding this to anyone who uses Clip Studio within my friend group. Thank you!
Since I bought Clip Studio, you're helping me alot to figure out so many functions and even understanding some curiosity that I always had but didn't knew how to ask. Really appreciate it. P.S: Your art is amazing as always.
Holy cow, I have been combing through videos trying to find the best explanation for making brushes in CSP, and yours is by far the best I've found. Your examples and way of explaining things really help me follow along. Thank you for making this video, it is helping me out so much!
this was such a good video! i'll definitely be coming back to it! the way you deliver information is so efficient and organized! diverse and complex features are explained in simple terms and in quick succession, the chapter transitions are seamless and each time, there's just enough to understand the basics as well as imagine further possibilities and at this point, it's just a bonus but your voice is very endearing and calming too hehe thank you for this!
Today, I found you and you´ll never will know how much you helped me, because I was almost to uninstall the whole clip studio paint app. because I couldn't move the "move layers" tool...YOU ARE MY HEROINE!!!... YOU ARE GREAT!!!!! I wish the best for you... you deserve!!
This video helped me so much! I didn't know how to make the bush not just black or the color it was when I saved the image material, I didn't find the right settings to change it, thank you very much! You showed the part that no other video was showing
VERY IMORTANT! If you are trying to make a brush tip, you must have the layer you are trying to register as a material SELECTED. I drew a bunch of plant variations and didn't understand why all the layers except the first were coming up as blank squares in the materials folder... it's because I was just turning them visible and not actually selecting the layer before hitting "register material->image". I thought it was looking at the canvas as a whole but it actually just takes whatever is on the specific layer you've selected. Not sure if she says this in the video but I'm putting it here just in case!
Oh my goshhhh, I loved your first video on clip studio paint and I've been meaning to ask about the brushes you've used, thank you so much for uploading this too ❤️
Thank you I'm terrible at following instructions and I haven't been able to figure out how to make a good brush for like 2 months but this video taught me so much in just some minutes
I was scrolling on youtube and saw your video! the art that you made, I saw it somewhere, maybe in pinterest. but I didn't knew it was you who drew it! it's really pretty
this was very helpful and very informative I´'ll ways had wondered how the brushes and the settings works thank you so much!! please please keep doing this tutorials they are so helpful pleasee
I wish I was fortunate enough to be able to afford clip studio paint but for now I'll stick to my other programs. I have so many art programs and then some, this is the ONLY ONE I'd want most. But because of different looking brushes and my own art style, I think I'd need them all! BRUSHES ARE EVERYTHING!
Thank you for this! I was wondering if you would be willing to make a video on how to make your own hair brushes? I'm looking to do my own braid brush for example because I hate drawing them LOL
I would recommend getting a similar brush from the csp assets, doesn't have to be hair but something that you'd imagine works similarly, and studying the settings of that brush to figure out how to set up yours! It shouldn't be too difficult to make a basic braid brush using the ribbon setting I think! Good luck :3
So happy I came across your channel! I love using CSP, but wanted to have my own custom brushes. Procreate was the only program I was able to make custom brushes in, but I just liked the feel of CSP more (for making comics!) and it was so frustrating trying to make my own brushes. Your video was so easy to follow, I was able to make a custom brush in minutes, thanks so much for sharing!
i had always troubles with the brush sensitivity and the brush size in CSP until I found out by accident about the result if you do the curve in the very low right corner . since then I literally do all my brushes in the corner because you don't have to chance the brush size anymore, the gap of size is so huge means if you have little pressure you have a super thin line but if you press hard you have a veeery huge brush. it's convenient for people like me who don't use shortcuts and are really lazy to change brush sizes a lot xD especially when it comes on lining
Your art style is amazing, specially the bg is what i was looking for D: i was wondering what is the cost of your custom brushes for bg and and how many are available for purchase
Thank you, glad you like it! All of the ones that I made and used for that background are included in the brush bundle on my patreon pinned post for the $10 tier
Can I ask a question why i can't see my pens in clip studio paint app I tried to get back but it didn't work. Do you know how can I see back my pens? Thank you ☺️
Hello Thanks for the tutorial Do you know if it s possible to add a personal brush shape? For example, I want a pen that makes a different pattern from the shape already there Thanks :)
Can you do a tutorial where actually make a special brush? I have the art for a special brush I want to make (it's faces that I want to turn into a brush so I can make clothes look like they have little faces on it). But when I made the brush, the faces got warped and came out like a texture when I drag the brush across the canvas. I can't get the faces to keep their shape like how your fern brushes keep their shape.
Great tutorial! I've been trying to create my custom twig brush but for some reason Clip Studio is ignoring the padding from my images once I add them as brush tips, so the smaller ones I've created scale up and look horrible. Any idea what might be causing it?
Hi! I have the same problem and cant find the solution nowhere. The brush tip looks ignoring tha scale and the result looks so out of scale, how can you change this? @@yukienwart

@@Sunakoart are you still using CSP?
@@koontyb4827 Yeah! :)
I just watched the beginners tutorial a moment ago and this got released lol
I tried making a square brush but the brush cursor is still round like in 13:10 how do I make the cursor the same shape as the brush tip shape?
👍🏻 keep it up
This is cool ^^^
it won't let me press the two buttons on 'material settings for brush' ,, please help if you can!

Is the hardness option only available to the round tip?
I think so yep

hello, what kind of graphics tablet do you use? :)
2:36 why is stuff on the right?
Most everything on mine apart from the canvas is on the left.
Did you customize the ui somehow?
Yes, you can drag and drop any UI elements to change where they are positioned
