Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!"

There was a part of his stand up where he mentions that he is also a Socialist (probably meant Dem Soc but at the time that wasn't really a thing that people were aware of), saying that Socialists are all essentially dead, that it's just him and Bernie.

I think he looks pretty good and very lucid. The man's just old, and there's a dozen of other reasons for shaking besides Parkinson's that are a lot of more common.
It's called aging.
Again, not everyone ages the same and because of genetics, he's always looked his age and never younger or older. Even his parents have always looked their age. They're almost 100 and even though they don't ancient, they look like they are in their 90s. He once showed a painting of them when they where in their I think 50s and they looked their age. He has said he used to do drugs, he's an ex smoker which damages your skin, he does drink a little, he works all the time which puts a lot of stress on the body causing to not age well, he also said he has a condition where his hands shake though he didn't say what and I doubt it's parkinsons because there are conditions that cause tremors or shaky hands etc like, overactive thyroid, dystonia which is a range of movement disorders which cause involuntary muscle spasms and there is also Essential Tremor, which is what Katherine Heburn had. It causes tremors either in your arms, hands or fingers, but sometimes involving the head, vocal cords or other body parts during voluntary movements such as eating and writing. Also tiredness caused by strenuous activity, anxiety, lack of sleep and taking certain medications can cause it as well, which he has also said he doesn't sleep well, he takes medications, and he does strenuous activity. A noticeable tremor is also normal and it's often caused by a raised level of adrenaline in the body, which can happen when a person is stressed, anxious or angry, which we all know Lewis Black is the King of angry comedians. It could be anyone of those, but personally I think it's the combination of, drugs, smoking, drinking, stress, lots of work and frustration. He's fine, if he were really sick, you would know and with his parents being 96 or 97 and still fairly active, he's got a good chance at that longevity.

+Irish Identity No, I didn't. I take it he used to be on that show? Jon Stewart is funny in small doses so I never watched him. Sort of like Kinnear was on Talk Soup.
He did short 'anger' bits periodically, as well as political commentary. Sort of in the same roll as the special correspondents (John Oliver, Colbert, Sam Bee) who later got shows of their own.
