2020: Listen to Audible while reading another book at the same time for double the efficiency
How can you concentrate reading while listening an audio book
I up the game. I listen to audiobooks while writhing on my own book.
@@josefineandersen2165 advanced huh? But still nice and i wish you luck with writing the book
Or you can be like Kim peek (the guy the movie rain man was based on) and read both pages of a book at the same time.
AZ2387 multitasking 🤷🏻♀️ some just do t better than others. How do people read while others talk to them and still engage in the reading and conversation? Some can do it some can’t.
I wanted to use audible but I thought it was like Netflix, you pay the monthly fee and everything is free.
is it happen as you thought?
Same here.
Honestly, I think it's a lot nicer to pay for what you want and keep it forever.
I thought the same as well
China will PAY for the virus did you even watch the video?
Audible became such a huge timesaver for me! I still do prefer reading a book more than an audiobook, but I started to listen to audible in the gym and during commutes which averages about 5-7 hours per week! This easily results in 2-3 more books read per month.
You can read and listen at the same time on Kindle 👍
I just bought my membership this month, and audible is a great service, but since my account is so new, I don't even have the option to buy more credits yet, and finishing one audiobook in a month is too easy. The reason I bought a membership was to read more, and I want to expand my library, but receiving one credit a month is a little disappointing for someone who already bought the membership. Imho, you should have the ability to buy more credits as soon as your membership is paid for and activated.
@@Streetpics23 I hear ya but you still can listen to however many books you want, you just only get to actually own one book a month. Honestly though I don’t see myself ending my subscription anytime soon so it doesn’t really matter, however I have 39 credits used so far
"I am affiliated with audible" then this is not a review.
So if I get the platinum plan, that yields 24 books per year. CEOs read 60 books per year. I guess I need 2 platinum plans and 1 gold plan to keep up with CEOs ($71/month or $852 a year). Damn
RUclips is cheaper
@Randy Gonzalez You can return a book even if you have finished reading it and use the credit to purchase another book.
Try doing that consistently until you’re blacklisted by audible for abusing the rent policy: not a smart move.
Hot tip: you can usually get all of the “audible originals” not just 2 every month for free if you preorder them. There is usually a thread with links on Reddit every month.
I have been considering getting Audible and you have answered all of my questions. Thank you for the excellent review!
In regards to the credits, when you purchase a book with a credit, is it actually stored in your phone's memory separate from the audible app, or is it stored in the app so that you cannot separate it from the app?
I respect that you were honest about your commission. Thanks 👍
Wait so im only getting 1 booka month for 15 a month
Same thing I said. Probably cheaper just to get a book every now and then.
@@changemymind8692 yeah but I lose attention reading really fast. So I did it and the voice for the book was actually so good.
Damn we are getting played 🤣
That’s some bs 😂
Great review Like your dedication to both reading and working out and doing both at the same time! Awesome!
U lost me when u gave “fifty shade of grey” as a book sample.
With audible you buy a Credit One credit was one book. If you were to go directly to Amazon without Audible the book would cost you $35. But since you have Audible one credit is $14. So one book would cost you $14 that's only one book a month. I think they also just give you discounts if you want to buy more books
lol, how petty. He wasn't saying he loves this book, he was just using it as an example to show the difference of price because it sells for 33$ dollars and using audible would mean getting it half the price.
@Yuki NoShinku touch grass, people have different preferences
Hello. Hey question! Are we available to do both audiobooks and reading or it’s just audible?
okay, you may not see this or think this is a stupid question but HOW DO YOU FIND YOUR WISH LIST! i'm on ios currently and i know where it is on a computer, but other than that idk where it is on a phone. Help!
QQ: If/How can I download it locally (phone)? Do I have to use data when listening while driving?
Can you listen as the pages turn or do you just get the screen shot of the book cover?
Audible review!!! Good stuff Ryan :)
I have over 110 Audible books in my library (member since 2014). I listen at 1.25 speed on RUclips and Audible. Now everyone IRL talks TOO SLOW. LOL.
1600 bucks on audio books? Ouch
@@Fearlessprice 1600 on books which maybe will help him to earn way more than all the money spent. It's an investment
but the problem is I can listen to a book in 2 days what do I do for the other 28 days wait for my next credits ?
You pay for the other books you want. The thing about the monthly subscription and why it’s actually kinda good is because each month you pay 16 bucks and get a 1 free book of your choosing, so if you got a book that is kinda expensive in physical form like... game of thrones or whatever then you’re actually saving a lot of money. So basically you’re paying every month for a book for much cheaper.
And above all that you literally get 2 FREE audible originals books.
So it’s actually not a bad subscriptions. It’s a win/win for amazon and the consumers.
Duke Nukem
Game of thrones costs 10$ new and a used version can be bought for cheaper. I can't think of a single physical book that can't be bought for under 16$.
Love this review, Ryan. I’m a big fan of audible since getting on that train I now read about 100 books a year because I’m constantly listening with bone conducting headphones so I can still hear what’s going on around me as well as the books I’m listening to. It’s really nice for doing non-noisy tasks like folding laundry or cooking.
Can you only listen or can you also read text?
I LOVE audible! I'm a kid - I'm in fourth grade - and I just starting reviewing audible books - so its cool that you're telling people how they can start listening to books too! thanks!
I walk to work, which is a great time to listen to an audio book. Rather than Audible, however, I often borrow audiobooks from my local library (fo’ free) and listen to them through the Libby app.
Yeah! Audible is great though. I’ve used it off and on, usually to get books that are in high demand from the library or things I’ll likely want to revisit
Listening to books is definitely a great thing to do, because it saves a lot of time. However you remember more from reading books (and even maybe taking notes) then only from listening to books
Yep. Me too.
Hi, all books are only in english version or can I listen in other lenguage?
HGow do you get a credit refund?
I'm a new user of audible and I'm struggling so much to open the second chapter of any book so please please pleaaaas help me on that point
Jus do it
How much are books if you don't use a credit?
Recently discovered audible (i know im late) but its amazing, i drive a lot and use that time to listen to audio books and finish them very quickly
Isn’t it only one book a month?
How do you buy the books
Thank you so much 😊 ❤️❤️🌹
I love Audible. Good review Ryan.
Great video. Thank you very much!
What is the difference between Audible Plus and Premium?
What is a credit I though if I subscribe I can just listen? I guess that's if u wanna save the book vs just stream listen?? Wish u explained
Looks like I'm staying with the real books. Not what I expected. Great video!
So it is not an limited like Netflix?
were those all non-fiction, self-improvement books? Do you read any fiction novels?
Is it not a scam - saying 30 days free, instead of actually saying you get ONE free book during first 30 days?
Ah yes the fact that ceo's read 58 more books per year definitely shows why they are succesful. There is no other reason whatsoever. Not a single one. It literally has to be the books.
Yeah. What a stupid argument! 😂
so you you dont get ay credits for $7.99 membership?
As for the gym membership comparison. When you have a gym membership you have access to all the equipment whenever you want. Audible subscription is like saying its a gym membership but you cant use anything unless you redeem each machine. Its not worth it, unless youd actually have access to everything. Just torrent the audiobooks
How to torrent them?
Any links?
Ye please where the place place to torrent them
Completely agree, audible has changes the way I learn. It really has helped me! I loved listening to the power of positive thinking by norman vincent peal. So good to bansh the bad news that is all overrrrrr. What's your fav book?
I hope audible works for me. I miss reading but I'm just to busy and I also dont have the attention span to actually sit down and read. Theres still alot of books out there I want to read.
I am a member of Audible since 2012. I own over 250 books in my library. It is awesome! Even though you cannot share your titles with friends, You can send them an audio book as a gift, using one of your credit .
My friend, when eventually you wanna cancel it, you'll realize that you don't own any book. Audible takes everything away from you once you cancel your membership.
@@elgenio3817 7:50
So the preface for the review says that you'll convince people that it us positive so that you make money. Gotcha
Audible does have subtitles?, I'm learning english and for me will be very useful see the words.
The reading comes with the success because you want to further your learning because as a ceo you have won at basic life now you want more purpose
I'm using it to read Star Wars books (Both Canon and Legends) as i want to see the franchise's story in book form. I'm loving it and i think i'll use a ebook and audio at the same time as reading in my head is hard.
As far as i have used audible, if you finish a book that you bought with a credit you can return that book and receive the credit back.
Doing that you could listen to unlimited books and also hit that CEO 60 books per year threshold.
Edit: watch the replies at the comments for more information
If you return too much they look closer at your returning activity
@@drcola143thats true they limited my refunding
Edit: to specify : they limited my refunding on their website . I can still refund as many titles as I want as long as I have a membership via email .
Just go to costumer support and ask them to return any number of books and as long as they were bought with audible credits , they should be refunded in your account .
@@myronkalaitzakis6167 lmao
Yeah you can only do a certain number of self exchanges, but afterwards they told me I can continue to exchange as many titles as I want for as long as I want as often as I want. Just email them. So far I’ve done it a handful of times this month and they quickly exchange it no problem
@@EYH7 yes I can actually confirm that, but make sure you do not do it too often. At some point they gave me a mini warning about my constantly changing appetite for different books, but they never refused to assist me and they exchange took place in a matter of 1 day or less .
Also for anyone who is interested they added an extra feature called ,"audible plus " . They took thousands of books and made them completely free to listen to as long as you have a normal audible membership or if you don't want to spend as much you can get the audible plus subscription for a significantly lower price.
The very first sentence he says makes me wanna vomit already.
Hahaha same bro
Ha ha😂😂🤦
the average CEO's also don't eat a frozen pizza while the average employee does.
"It's proven that reading more books contributes to your success"
*looks up from warhammer 40k Cadia Stands:* huh?
Yeah the app is great and all but I listen to books while I’m at work every day so 1 book a month isn’t enough I tend to finish books within a day or two so I can finish over 10 a month no problem
CEO's have loads of spare time, hence, they can read more books.
wrong. they're efficient
this isn’t true 🤣
Useful explanation
How do I link the app on my phone to my husbands amazon account & audible membership (he ain't gonna use it).
Yra Binstead type his Amazon info into audible
I agree with this guy for the most part. There is one other con which he didn't mention. It can be worth it if you're using it, however I'm about to get a trucking job and I was looking into this so I have something to listen to over the road. However, give or take, you're going to be listening to One book a day. That means that you would be purchasing 20+ books a month if you were going to listen to a book a day, which adds up.
is it good for learning English ? 😊
No, you eventually learn Mandarin.
As soon as you start advertising your Audible subscription link at beginning of the video I stopped watching because it's a biased review. And I want a honest review. Disliked, I'm sorry, useless content.
I see what you're saying. As an alternate perspective, perhaps he really loved his experience and asked to be an affiliate. 🤷♀️
Bye...
The free trial from Audible already has 1 free credit. What is different than the link?
he gets a small comission.
So if you pay £7.99 is it only one book a month?
Yeah
So you get a book for free each month and they stay in your app forever?
Do they have a massive selection for all ages?
If you do purchase a credit what’s the most and least prices for books?
We have an app which allows you to read books for free (Libby) Since my son is dyslexic with ADHD his best method to absorb info is to listen and read along with the book. Is it possible to use both apps at once? I’m a mother of five readers🥰 and a blind mother who deeply loved to read so I’m trying to get more tools to keep our family on the course of “reading” more enjoyable books.
Thanks up front for any helpful info 😉
Are all of the books 1 credit each? Or do they dick around with that?
@Warden Cobb You can purchase a book, however the price could be more than the cost of the credit. For example a book may cost $30; it’s better to use your credit (of $14.95) to get this book, and buy a cheaper book with your own $. That’s provided you’ve run out of credits and are desperate to get a book. You could return one of your other books and swap it for another one you want.
@@AyTee77 thank you for your reply. What you wrote makes perfect sense now... The only thing that confuses me it's why they would choose to have such a confusing, headache inducing payment structure. Though their service sounds great, I'd say the money side of the business is ridiculously bad.
How could such a wonderful service be "not currently available in your region "? We have prime membership and supposed to have some free access to something, however instead of the Audible plus for ~$8/mo, all I can do is subscribe to the ~$15/mo plan, and there's no free content after all. I don't care about the lousy 8 bucks as much as the feeling I'm being scammed. They need to get their act together.
I wanna know why the European version is half of the American version. but I cant figure it out
Josefine Andersen same
@@lukasgreco9781 I found out, its because the American has this exclusive audible stories you can pic, and you cant in the European
Unconscious hatred and disgust.
that's why I am not gone continue after the 30-day trial, because I still have to pay extra for other books...if it was like Netflix yeah, but in that case, no thanks
How much is the subscription in pounds?
Type in audible uk they have a good offer on at the monent
What I don’t like about the audible app is that it assumes you have an Amazon account, if you don’t it dosent let you create one, it says sign or asks if you’ve forgotten your password
Cant you just go to Amazon and create an account then?
So i cant downloaded the book to my computer,
You can....you do not need an internet connection to access these books obce you have downloaded them.
Once downloaded in your library, that books is yours forever, even if you refund it.... another tip for you ;)
Books will they remain in library once you did a unsubscription?
@@fafo2850 yes
You get your credit back and still get to keep the book?
I’m using audible with iPod touch and an fm transmitter in car. Get the right transmitter. That way I can listen to it in car
Love Audible!
I simply don’t get why there’s the need to pay a subscription as well as the book. Either one or the other. If I want to enter a book store I don’t need to pay for it. This is the only thing holding me back. It’s just too much money to enter the book store...
Looks like a firey pumpkin in the fireplace
why the fuk would i pay monthly in order to be able to even purchase the books?
Sales Pitch
The opening CEO argument. LOL how about taking on audio book on research methods.
While it is a good service that I use and appreciate, I'm disappointed that you can't just buy credits as soon as you purchase a membership. I bought the $14.95 membership this month. I bought the membership in order to read more, but I'm almost finished with the first and only book in my library so far and it only took me 2 days... Need more credits, but I can't even buy them yet because my account is so new.
I’m gonna use his gym membership example. I bought the basic membership. 1 credit a month essentially you can only use the gym once a month. It’s not worth it especially if you work with headphones on.
Name of owner of company
I have four audiobook playlists that you might like. It's a great series. The average rating on Amazon for the series is about 4.7 ... so it's pretty good. Here's the link to the first. From there you can just look at my playlists link on my channel to find the rest.
ruclips.net/p/PL_y61EUCj3qoVgQa1-gLt1e74OXJLVmuL
How much do you make a month on RUclips
From what I understand. RUclips does not allow users to publicly discuss what they make.
Fate Kneecaps a lot
@@Hopes91 that is bs.
Read books just to become a CEO based on a cautation fallacy.
I don't think you get the point of reading books
*Causation but yeah
I think he's just trying to encourage people in society. He's not saying 'wealthy people read more so read more and you'll be wealthy'. But there is a common correlation between intelligence and wealth, and so if you want to start taking steps towards being wealthy, one of those steps could include becoming somebody who feeds your mind and informs yourself.
@@mofojackson lol again. Wealth cause intelligence, not intelligence cause wealth. Rich people have the resourses to accumulate intelligence, something the poor working class doesnt have money or time for as a result of overworking themselves. Infact 60 % of the richest 400 in america have their wealth inherited. We dont live in a metrocraty
And yeah, donald trump are super wealthy but yet one of the biggest idiots in the world
Got my like for JP 12 rules.
Time
Try google play - almost half the price for books than Audible. I am a Prime member and switched from audible because the prices are higher than almost all other audio book companies. Amazon is one of the greediest companies on this planet, so compare to other companies before signing up with Amazon please.
Eho owns Audible?
*who
Im listening to books on RUclips for free. Unfortunately, not enough books.
RUclips damn near has any audio books looking for, for free.
People that say they don’t have time for reading is ridiculous time management people !!
I don’t like that system with those “credits” it would be better if it was unlimited like Netflix.
Tank you four the video it made me decide to stick with my other audiobook app.
Tanks
Which app would that be?
@@danielz1666 Storytel
but the good thing about this is like you are buying the book. Because if you used your credit on a certain book, its yours to keep. I know being limited to a book is bad. But i think some people can only read a certain book a month so that is fine.
YOU CANT SAY THAT A CEO READS BOOKS AND THEN COMPARE THAT WITH SOMEONE ELSE READING BOOKS TO YOU. THAT IS NOT AND WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.
Audible is good but Overdrive is better! 📚 🎧
So true! $Free.99
Bobiverse series. Great for sci-fi fans
is this a review or an advertisement
Duhhhh, why not just find a audible book on RUclips and save them in a playlist?
1.25x speed???? those are rookie numbers on my phone im rocking at least 1.7x usually 1.8 hahahah
If you don't have unfettered access to the book it really does not belong to you... they say you can't download an MP3 to load on a thumb drive to play anywhere I want to... some one should sue them...
