I was watching endos 7 hour stream. He was so determined to find it before you, it was hilarious. Whenever he was getting low on motivation he just was like "Frantics asleep. This is my time!" And he used that thought to motivate himself.
The sonar at around 11:30 was picking up a shark. I tried to make the threat detection system detect sharks but its near impossible because naturally spawning sharks have varying mass. anywhere between 480 to 1900 or so, So its near impossible to have the shark detector be reliable without it throwing out a lot of false positives.
How to manually spawn a kraken in your world: 1: Open the mission editor and place a penguin down somewhere on an island of your choice. 2: Spawn in the penguin and save the game. 3: Tab out and type in %appdata% in your search bar on the task bar and open the folder it shows. 4: Go to Stormworks > Saves > [name of your recent savegame] 5: Open scene.xml with notepad or whatever other text editor of your choosing 6: press CTRL + F and type "animal_type" with no quotes 7: Find animal_type and change the value to 4 8: Save the file and open the save in your game The penguin will be replaced with a "Kraken" Big thanks to WOE for finding this out
I really hope that we're gonna be able to spawn it like how we couldn't with the Megalodon originally but then were able to later. Edit: I just thought of something that could be really cool. Imagine if the Kraken and the Megalodon could interact with eachother (like fighting and stuff) it may be a thing rn but if not now hopefully in the future.
I've been wondering about that, but it seems like the few videos I've seen of people hunting down the kraken, all sharks and megs are absent in the nearby water. Like because the kraken is present, the game refuses to naturally spawn sharks or kraken. But I really wonder if they would either team up or fight against each other. Either way, this year's Halloween will interesting.
It seems to be a bit like the Megaladon in the sense that it'll hurt your vessel over the course of a few attacks and unless you've really built a poor vessel that probably shouldn't be out at sea, it's not going down from the first attack. I think eventually it might, but with a sturdy ship like that, I'd be difficult. Plus I'm not sure how smart the game is. Sink a ship like that and it'll have a nuclear event occur when that ships reactor melts down. I don't think the game's AI is programed to be that foolhardy, but it could also be just a false assumption on my part.
You should have put some wind on and used the US Coast Guard's Delta search pattern. Smarter Every Day has a video about it, but it's a search pattern that covers the most area of a search area while in a current. Not saying you did anything wrong, since you found the thing, but I'm wondering if IRL tactics would have actually made things faster. . . . . Gonna now go see what the IRL tactics are to fight krakens.
For the CIWS system, there's actually alot of them. The most common is the Phalanx CIWS System, but there's also others like the Millennium CIWS system.
(tip that might be usefull: get a super fast boat and make a identical spot where he put his waypoint and put very fast veichle there and put waypoint on that then get the ship in the video and bring it to there

I just thought of something, I would be so cool if someone made original Nautilus from the classic Disney movie 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. It was a beautiful sub.

@@FranticMatty got so mad that i couldn't find the kraken but i found it and my game crashed of lag when I literally all it on the radar and it was so alggy the thing didn't appear and my game crashed so I just spawned it using notepad and file editor XD (btw this is off topic but just like upload the patrol boat you made I don't think it looks bad)

You should try that with submarine and in multiplayer
If they release the kraken at a good state they should make it so water pressure can destroy your vehicle in some instances
You need to turn up the brightest when you edit your video next time you do this, but besides that this was a epic video!
