      Agreed . They arent Fords and Chevys anymore...they are all built from the ground up . I watch my old classic videos much more than today's events .

    The combination of David Pearson and The Wood Brothers from 1972 to 1979 was, in my opinion, the greatest in NASCAR history. They never ran a full schedule, only running 18 to 21 races per year. Had they run a full schedule, I believe they would have won at least 4 and maybe 5 Winston Cup Championships. In 1973 alone, they won 11 of 18 races they entered. What a great team!

      This was back when there were real cars in nascar!!!! You could tell one make from the other without having a sticker on it. Now they are all just cookie cutter plastic things, same body, same engine, that have to have a sticker across the windshield to let the fans know what brand of car it is🤦‍♂️redicioulas!!!!

    Consider the number of wins to number of races. He is the best. I am a big Petty fan, but Pearson success rate is incredible

      Those Petty/Pearson battles of the 70s were classic! Best rivalry ever, and each man had great respect for the other!

    I am calmer and feel better now after seeing and hearing this rolling piece of history. Endorphins were released and I have become one with the universe and achieved detente. Nothing like the sound of a tight lobe separation cam.

    In my opinion Pearson was the greatest ever barr non he was very smart and I'm sure he could drive with today's nascar just like he drove back then

    If Pearson had run the full schedule, especially with the Wood Brothers, Petty would not have won seven championships and this comes from a lifelong Petty fan.

    Nothing else sounds like a big block v8 just remember what it sounded like with 42 big blocks coming around the first turn at Daytona it was earty shaddering
