I met JNT in 1989 at the bar in the Wimbledon Theatre for the first night of the Doctor Who play with Jon Pertwee. He was charming and very friendly. And oddly met Peter Davison in 1984 at Hammicks bookshop in Guildford. Also totally charming.
I met Peter Davison in 2000 at Forbidden Planet and he was extremely rude, arrogant and dismissive of all those who had queued to see him. He was screaming at those who dared to film him, ludicrously stating that he didn't approve of people 'selling footage of him and earning without his consent'...(?!) and didn't look at any of the fans in the eye when they spoke to him. He lost a loyal fan that day and now, the Sixth Doctor has been elevated from second place, to my favourite Doctor. I have met Colin Baker several times and he is the total antipathy of Davison. He has time for fans, is kind, witty and charming and a delight to all his fans.
@@rnw2739 Perhaps he was having a bad day. Mind you in 1984 he was fresh, young and at the height of his fame and it was a Saturday afternoon with just him and his wife Sandra Dickinson in a quiet bookshop and I was a single kid so I guess it was different circumstances.
Wall Digital Media Online: I do NOT remember this set of interviews/clips. Guess this was - ? - shown on PBS. Or was live on PBS the Saturday night of the convention? I was there! I was on Staff of Dixie Trek for ALL the years that there WAS a Dixie Trek. And before that I was a member of the Atlanta Star Trek Society [ ASTS is mentioned in the interview with Dixie Trek co- organizer William Smith ( see: starting at 5:24 - 8:10. ) ]
@@RobertC4458 Could have very well been May.. I know I was in 9th grade and went to Six Flags the previous Saturday and had my dad record Spearhead from Space on VHS that week and it was warm.
have to wonder if Peter Davison was drunk or sober when he did that song. glad he stuck to acting as he is a great actor. SILURIANS in black and white. it was like that for years when repeated back in the 80's
@@plasticmancvoguish8390 For me it was all downhill after Caves of Androzani.. I love Colin Baker in Big Finish. If he had a more classic costume and was toned down after that first episode, I think he would have easily had a 3 year run or longer. I lost interest in the McCoy era mainly because of the stories. 7th Doctor and Ace is one of my favorite Doctor Companion pairings however, because of their chemistry.
@walldigitalmediaonline746 How you can think that is absurd! Colins era was wonderful and contains many great stories, season 23 being one of the best seasons ever.
The woman who did the illustration of denise croby in 87 is absolutely beautiful
Thus was an amazing event
Classic Who is real Who.

I never knew I needed to see Peter Davison sing country.

I think this was 1986 before Star Trek 4 came out in theaters. March or April maybe?
@@walldigitalmediaonline746 : Was it? Or was it in May? Would have to go back and check the release date for 'Star Trek 4.'

I had the entire run of Pertwee,Baker,Davison,Baker, and McCoy all taped from airings on Georgia Public Television. Saturday nights at 10!
JNT killed Doctor Who in the 80s.
No he didn’t; as with the budgets etc - he managed very well !
