[Finalist] Across the Lights (Ryan Leach January 2024 Competition Entry)

This was really fun to write. I'm not really use to writing this hybrid / cyberpunk style, so like last year's videogame entry I definitely stuck with what I know as the foundation for the piece. In addition, this is the first piece I've written with my newly acquired Vista strings library, so I wanted to put it through its paces. I did incorporate quite a bit more synth and futuristic elements in the piece to make it sound more inline with the picture.
For this piece, I went with a more tragic or separation love theme. The interpretation is that the guy on the motorcycle is leaving to go across the city and the couple might not see each other for a while.
