Is there and actual power button on the radio or do you have to use the remote

For Pioneer AVH-290BT, there are two ways to touch the screen and power on/off the receiver. 1st is to touch the drop down list, this is the Arrow Down located at the top left of the screen, and choose OFF from the drop down list. The 2nd way is to touch the home button, that's the hard key with 4 small squares, and choose OFF, or another source. @@deckerdotto6035 the issue I’m having is I had to unhook my battery and the radio won’t turn on using any of the buttons. Last time I had to use the remote but can’t seem to find it

The receiver is designed to automatically power up to the home screen with no source selected when the vehicle is switched on. If that's not happening, I recommend to press the microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-290BT at the top of the hard key panel beside the eject button. If this does not correct the issue, please check any wiring you may have changed. What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? I'm not aware of a way to detach the face of the Pioneer AVH-290BT in the video above. is it possible to turn off the screen automatically when the radio is switched off, for example, after 30 seconds? Otherwise you have to turn it off in 2 steps and it is very inconvenient

Pioneer receivers including AVH-290BT are designed to switch off when the vehicle is off. If the receiver stays on when the vehicle is off, this means the receiver is wired incorrectly. Focus on the Red Wire and the Yellow Wire. Do not wire Red and Yellow together.
