My younger cousin was the BIGGEST wrestling fan lol and his mom was watching American idol on the GOOD tv in the living room, we literally sat through that shit only for her to let us play this game for 30 minutes because it was a school night 😂😂😂👏🏾
I fr can’t wait for you to play WM 19. While exhibition matches are really good, highly recommend you to try the revenge mode, it’s got 5 areas where you complete 5-6 missions each. Best part of it all is you get to throw or KO people that Vince has sent at you from security guards, construction workers, bikers, agents, wrestlers, or special bosses at the end of each mission which you get to unlock any 30 of them by beating them. After completing all of it even after the final mission, you unlock a new area to complete a few more missions. Also each mission you entirely complete, you also unlock new game modes to play in exhibition mode. Once you play, you’ll be intrigued.

WM 18 was a alright game and was the last game to feature the WWF logo even though it lacked features it definitely paved the way for 19 and DOR1 & 2. WWE Crush Hour was ass but at that time in 2002 Shut your mouth was where it was at.

Fun Fact:
This was during when WWF became WWE. It had 2 covers where it featured the WWF logo and the other, WWE logo. Despite the company name change, all WWF logos remained in the game.

These games weren't the best, but they were fun as hell to play with friends because you could break up all the moves
As for my memories and thoughts on this game, this was one of my first WWE games I played. I remember my late grandfather purchasing it for me from the base exchange and I pretty much was happy to play it. Game personally felt simplistic but as I got older and I got to replay it, I realized it wasn’t all there. It didn’t have much but for it to be its 1st WWE game on GameCube, it became my realization that this game was the original gameplay pattern model they went by and continued fleshing it out for WM 19, Day of Reckoning 1 & 2.
Also Ricky, while the match gameplay music wasn’t all there, I personally liked the create a wrestler and options music they had. As strange as it was, they produced a decent music soundtrack just for the modes. But speaking of music, some superstars like NWO, Booker T, Trish Stratus, Hardy Boyz, Stacy Keibler, etc., had their own song dubbed in for this game for some reason due to licensing.
As for my experience with the modes, while the concept of path of a champion and battle for the belts was interesting, it was bare boned meaning it didn’t have much personally. But I do like how in battle of the belts, each belt you see are from different wrestling promotions but alter it with their take to avoid copyright.
Overall, game was aight at best but I preferred WM 19 more than WM 18’s game because they fleshed it out more

The only wrestling games that are better than Shut your mouth were Here comes the pain and WWF No Mercy in my opinion. This game was great for it's time, but my favorite arcade wrestling games were in your house and WWF Royal rumble (Dreamcast). Heart video as usual and keep it going big bro

WrestleMania 18 and 19 had decent character roster and weird but strong storyline very challenging game if that person likes a challenge 😎👍 My overall rating on this WrestleMania 18 Game was 9 cause could of been little more on the roster and I had a ok experience with the story mode for this game so when the wwe day of reckoning games made up for WrestleMania 18 and 19 more ways than one Thank you for this instant classic for WrestleMania 18 Game much appreciate it 👍
I got this game at Christmas when I was 10 along with my GameCube. It was the first wrestling game I played on something that was not the Nintendo 64 or PS1. So the graphics at the time, to me, were phenomenal. And I loved the entrances. The roster back in 2002 held a special place in my heart, so I really loved this game. Me and my brother played it non stop.
Now next games is XIX AND WCW/NWO REVENGE ❤❤

I didnt like alot of the wrestling games in 2002 because every wrestler only had 4-5 grappling moves. Makes replaying matches repetitive. I love hctp 20 different moves

I was a wrestling fanatic as a kid and this game was a huge disappointment for me. The game play is fun but there's not enough substance to the game outside of playing with your friends. I maximized the hours by creating different characters and winning a different title with each but it was all imagination. The replay value is nonexistent. I would literately take Smackdown 2 over this game just because of career/season mode, but that's my favorite feature (next to character creation) in any wresting game.

Before 2k and it's not even close. In shut your mouth and here comes the pain each wrestler had their own fighting stance like rvd was on his toes while in the 2k ones everyone just stands straight up
yo just hearing that theme from the undertaker gave me chills me and my mom love the WWE and the whole sport in general but I was two when my mom had me on her lap when wm18 was on tv and I play the game later in life but this is on of my favs on the game cube very underrated game console in my opinion but above anything else the brothers of destruction was the best therm for undertaker and kane lets get ready to RUMBLE!
