Yay! So glad you're getting more into COIN (and COIN-adjacent) games! You're definitely going in the right direction in terms of complexity. Gest -> Vijayanagara -> Cuba Libre -> People Power. Might I suggest Andean Abyss or A Distant Plain to be next on your list, in terms of upping the complexity? If you can get your hands on either one of them, that is.

Oh, I've got some already in the pipeline. Thank you very much for your kind gift. Much appreciated.

One of us! One of us! Joking aside, great that you're like the COIN series. All the COIN games I've tried are all great, and I can't wait to get FiTL and RDR to the table soon :)

"How many COIN games do you guys need?"
"All of them." - Joe Byer (What Does This Piece Do?) when asked by a commenter after COIN vol XII came out.
People Power was my second COIN I played after CL. I like it, but I've heard to be wary to recommend as a start into the series, because even though the rules are on the lighter side, the game can appear to be very swingy to players inexperienced with COIN strategy.

They should make a COIN game that's like twilight struggle and Pericles combined, where 2 players play the US and Western Europe, and 2 other players play the USSR and China. I guess that's like Wir Sin Das Volk with its 2+2 expansion, have you tried that?

I have not tried Wi Sin Das Volk, but you should design the game you speak of!

Thank you. With COIN games I feel there’s no game… I can’t move the game forward…. Always checking at the rules…

There's a lot of rules checking for sure, but I really enjoy the game - particularly Cuba Libre. Tremendous fun, IMHO.
