- A young flapper tricks her childhood sweetheart into marrying her. He really loves another woman, but didn't marry her for fear the marriage would end in divorce, like his parents'.

the movie is of course wonderful, but i keep playing THE SCORE over and over without the music. absolutely fantastic work, Rodney Sauer and The Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra!!! (unfortunately, it seems that a movie like this on youtube doesn't attract people who appreciate changing sugar into wine. clara bow would probably love it.)

Esther Ralston gives a beautiful performance but of course Clara Bow is who most people remember. Interestingly, Bow and Gary Cooper had a wild affair while shooting this movie.

Agree about the score, which had a harsh sound, kind of like someone writing in all capital letters. It was obviously excerpts of regular piano music.
The music was too loud and uncoordinated .....i know this a remaster of this silent film..substitute the music with something that Scott joplin has composed...gary cooper was beautifully dressed..but then again he always looked good..peace
