Their early years. Loved them C
Film clip is a reflection of their loneliness when they split and their joy in reconnecting both as brothers and The band.❤ That is what the song was really written about.
Thanks for sharing! Definitely adds a lot more depth an meaning to the song.
@SaeedReacts
This was written right after the brothers got back together after a brief split up in 1970-71 ish. I belive they split up in 1969. So in the video, you see the 3 of them coming back together as a brotherly bond.
Thanks for sharing this. Adds a lot to the meaning of this song.
Love their early works. Pre falsetto. ❤❤❤ Been listening to them since 1968.
Me too
This song was written right after the brothers got back together after an 18 month split. The video shows them in their loneliness apart from each other, then coming back together. Substitute "brothers" for "woman" and you have their story, only "brothers" wouldn't sell as well as "woman." 😊
To me the Bee Gees sound in this song is very reminiscent of The Beatles.
"Alone", "Wind of Change", "I Surrender". Love the Bee Gees reactions!
This was the first 45 record I bought with my own money. Thanks for bringing me back to when I was 11 years old.
Thats awesome! You never forget that. Thanks for sharing!
The Bee Gees were formed in 1958, Their first released song was called The Blue & the Grey in 1963, they had their first number 1 in 1966 a song called Spicks & Specks,Their last release was in 2001 a song called,This is Where I Came In.The Bee Gees Have written over 1000 songs & over 2500 plus other Artists have performed their songs. The rabbit hole is Deep with this band.
Don’t forget “ Alone” by them, super…..
"Alone" gets my vote!!
Will check it out!
There is a video of them performing this song live with brother Maurice on the piano--he often played bass or piano & I believe he was credited with the great arrangement on this tune.
The first time I heard this as a very young girl, I thought it was the Beatles! My father had all the Beatles records. Guess I didn't pay enough attention! Its actually crazy to me now thinking I mistook them!🤭
They played with the idea of. Where would I be without my brother. But kept it. My woman. 😍😍😍
hope you get a chance to see their live performance
🤛👊🤜
This was the song that they came back together after they split up in 1969 for 15 months. This one and how can you mend a broken heart. If watch the video carefully you'll see each of them apart and at the end they come together as one
Barry had mostly written How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, then after reuniting, asked Robin to finish it with him.
v mist is an english sumer, bgs has moved back 2 uk at vis stage frm au.
Loved your reaction. You would enjoy Search Find, Living Eyes, Ordinary Lives and I Surrender (promotional video). ❤❤❤
Thanks so much! Will add those to my list.
Hi Saeed. I highly recommend you checking out Peter Gabriel. His performance of In your Eyes (Secret World Live). Great song and even greater performance.
Thanks for the recommendation!
bee gees i'm satisfied
Great to hear these old songs : memories from the 70th-80th...
And of course your great reaction is an added bonus 😊! Thanks!
I am enjoying this exploration through time! Thanks for joining me, Orly.
Weren’t they just great lyricists and composers. They really understood building a song to a crescendo.
100%
This video is not at the correct speed, it is going very slow. Please find another source.
It was the video on their official channel. So then they need to fix it, if that is the case.
In fact, the version in the video is not the one from the official LP, but was recorded for the video. I'm just saying that if you listen to the official LP version or any other version, you'll see that it sounds very different, clean and a bit faster. CHEERS
