David Gilmour is a living legend, the lead singer and lead guitarist from one of the most famous bands in the world, Pink Floyd. In this track, he is accompanied by his daughter, Romany. She is a musician herself, playing several instruments, with the harp being her most notable. This song is a cover by the band Montgolfier Brothers.

It's a great cover of my brother Rogers band the montgolfier brothers. He and Mark Tranmer wrote it and David and Romany have done a beautiful job. ❤️

David Gilmore is a man who cares deeply about music here in this song he features his daughter to kick off her career a bit like Kate bush wuthering heights This is a cover version of another songwriter. David Gilmore has a few solo albums out the first from 1978 may well be his best reserch him man he was also in Pink floyd

When we come from different times and places it is entirely possible for someone to not know who David Gilmour is. While this is a cover of a Montgolfier Brothers tune, I can totally understand why David and his daughter chose to cover it. By now I am sure the reviewer knows exactly who David Gilmore is. Welcome to the machine my friend.

David Gilmour es mi artista musical favorito , ha colaborado con Paul McCartney, Kate Bush, Tom Jones, y muchos otros artistas, una realmente leyenda de la guitarra....

Well I suppose being young could be an excuse for not knowing the 14th highest rated guitarist of all time, from the legendary band Pink Floyd.... Watch this interview by CBS of the man:
    ruclips.net/video/RsRljXfaNu0/видео.html ( 2015-09-19 - David Gilmour - Another Side of David Gilmour - CBS This Morning )
Then perhaps watch these two examples of his works:
    ruclips.net/video/4oK1Jco6JFM/видео.html ( Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 1-5 & 7) [PULSE Restored & Re-Edited] )
Which is a lament about loosing Syd Barrett to mental illness. And then this, which has one of the most incredible guitar solos of all time:
    ruclips.net/video/7kWl-ZGMwkQ/видео.html ( Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (PULSE Restored & Re-Edited) )
But aside from these examples, your musical education/journey is wholly incomplete until you have listened to Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. The entire album from start to finish. It is one of the highest selling albums of all time, with incredible soundscapes and visceral lyrics that appeal to any generation. It is pure musical and lyrical genius, with incredible engineering as well for being released in 1973.

Thanks for understanding, I have heard of the band and some of their songs, but I definitely have no education on them. Thanks for the great information.

No need to trash a person for not knowing David Gilmore and/or his being with Pink Floyd.
But yes, if you want to understand this guitarist and his history in Pink Floyd, you can start with pretty much any Pink Floyd song from the albums Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were here or The Wall.
Better yet, listen to one of them as a whole album bu yourself instead of reacting to single songs. That is, after all, how they were created: as concept album. Back in the day when it was normal to turn in an album, sit in your room and listem to it start to finish.

Who doesn't know David Gilmour, it's as if he hasn't lived ;-). Frontman of Pink Floyd, composer and multi-instrumentalist, singer and most importantly - famous guitarist. If you watch for example Comfortably Numb from the 1994 Pulse concert, you will remember it forever. His guitar solo at the end of the song is phenomenal and one of the best in the history of modern music. And I'm sure you'll go on a long and fantastic journey with Pink Floyd. Anyone who listens to Pink Floyd will usually fall in love with them. I've had it since I was about ten years old - and I'm about to turn sixty ;-).
