for how much a shady cunning crook rockstar is if they remake rdr for next gen i would absolutely buy it at retail price cause it's that's good and im embarrassed to even say it. rdr needs a remake for next gen including pc, its such a shame cause it will sell like hot cakes
It's code doesn't support windows. It's spegati code and they can't change anything to make it tun on windows

I keep getting an "Unhandled Exception In Xenia", I've tried it with and without changing any setting in xenia config or patches. I'm only able to get past the intro but once it says "press start", I'm hit with the error. Any help you could provide on that?

How did you get there folders Cache and content you made that up or something because it's not there in the video and where did you get the red dead redemption game if you only have it in a notebook sorry if it sounded a bit gross, I've watched about 30 videos with Xenia and I really don't know what to do
You have to download the ROM through the internet. RDR1 Xbox360 rom (.iso i think)

i dont understand how you got the game onto xenia, when i click open it just comes up with the game patches file. any suggestions?
For some reason it doesn't work for me. I tried both versions of the red dead patches, and both displayed a text saying "Failed to launch title, check xenia.log for technical details". My PC doesn't have problems launching the emulator and shouldn't have. I also noticed that at 6:14 there's two folders called cache and content which weren't there before. I don't know what am i supposed to do.

Why some Xenia Canary guides on YT from a year and older says you must create a ''portable.txt'' for the config.toml xenia canary setup file to appear? Feeling confused.
Thanks for the tutorial - game works great now. Except for some reasons main character keeps holding his revolver from the very beginning ... and every action cause shooting. Really, really weird... no other games or emulators cause this. I might to try and set up keyboard+mouse controls instead later. I've missed my chance to play RDR when I had my old X360, but was forced to sell it and never returned to playing on consoles. edit - fixed it by picking option to switch LB with LT and vice versa - RB with RT. Now it's time for an adventure I've been waiting for a decade!

What about AMD GPUs and CPUs? It says in the system requirements that amd gpus are not recomended due to amd drivers bugs that can casuse crashes. Does someone use AMD hardware and want to share experience? How it works?
Very well done tutorial! Thank you very much! I was trying to play this game on RPCS3 but the performance there is terrible, I was getting below 30 FPS, 20 FPS average, and now I can run it at above 60! Thank you so much!
where did the content and cache folder come from? also its not working for me, when i try to open the patch it just says unsupported file or corrputed

wait so do you want vsync on or off ? cause you turned it off in xenia but forced on in Nvidia CP. wouldn't that be counter intuitive?
Not at all, it's recommended to turn it off in Xenia because it causes stutter. But if you turn on V-sync through Nvidia it's much more stable.

when i open the game like load file of the game it spawns a error and it says "This ISO image is corrupted and cannot be played" Help (sorry for my english im from Poland)
Question: Does it work with mouse and keyboard and can you reconfigure the controls? Does it work with any controller you connect to your pc? Like if i connect a ps4/ps5 controller, will it work? Or xbox 1/x controller? Will it work no problem or you need additional mods or patches for that?

You can use keyboard and mouse , just search how to play red dead redemption 1 on PC with keyboard and mouse
Can you possibly post the file name of the iso for the goty version so I know exactly what to look for…there’s some repacks and stuff that idk will work. Also which value should be changed to what for 4k rendering? Thanks!
Unfortunately, not. RUclips doesn't allow ROM files of any kinda to be linked.

To play in 4K you change the *Draw resolution Scale* to 3 on both X & Y 3:04

yoo i'm probably a little late to this but i've recently set this up and got it running. The game performs great but I'm having issues with lights flickering and I'm not sure what settings i could change to remove the issue or reduce it atleast.
Edit: i had to disable the 60 fps option in the patch file. works great now!
I'm gonna be playing this on my Laptop with 4800h and Rtx 3050-4gb Vrm. You think I can play with stable fps or go with Ryjinx instead?
Haven't tried Ryjinx yet, but your rig should be more than enough to run it 💯
Read dead Ryjinx resently got better but it Xenia is still the way to go. You can try both but Xenia will give you a more stable 60fps
I got the game running but its hella stuttery when you enter the boat cutscene, i have a ryzen 5 3500 and a gtx 1650 ddr6, lemme know the fix
Turn off V-Sync in the 7:49 emulator, that causes most of the stuttering. Then turn it on using Nvidia control panel 8:28

If i have 2 disk game, what i do with disk 2? I can finish the game just starting disk 1? or if i start disk 2, i have same saved game files?

settings -> graphics -> advanced - frame rate target control
turning on v-sync caps it at 60fps

Had the same problem. Make sure you are using Xbox 360 iso and not PS3.

@@TonyStaddus Ah cool, that's fairly modest hardware and still running this game great, excellent news :) I have i7 8700 and GTX 1080, so I think fairly similar level and gives me hope I can run this well too! I also only want to tun at 1080p so that is also good to know 👍
I heard Xenia did not have a GUI like most other Emulators and this put me off from trying it in the past, but you made a very good step by step tutorial it seems and I think I will give it a go.
I have this on PS3 and would have been willing to paid for a PC port that was decent and fairly priced (same for the GTA trilogy), but that was apparently too much to ask 🤦♂
Thanks again, it's really good to see this after the terrible (but typical) news in regards to Red Dead port. I even saw Yuzu is supposed to run this well now too, but it didn't so far for me (but I think it needs precise settings). But anyway I hope that most people will reject latest Rockstar B*ll Sh*t and just emulate it, so those grubs don't succeed in ripping everyone off again!

from where did you get the GOTY version? I donwloaded it from zamunda but its a dd. file and it wont load to xenia

Try turning off V-sync in the Xenia emulator, and turn it on through Nvidia control panel (or the AMD equivalent).

Be sure when you launch the game it's in a ISO disc image format. If so, could be just a corrupted ROM game file. This does happen and need to find a new one.

You'll need to get a copy of it yourself. You should be able to find one fairly easily on the internet.

@@arielshemesh4015 Because your PC isn't powerful enough. You can expect it to be 4k if your PC is powerful enough. You aren't really playing a XBOX 360 you are playing a XBOX 360 game that is being simulated by your PC and that takes good hardware. Acually the older the game the better it runs in 4k when it comes to emulation, its the newer games that you can't expect to emulate in 4k or at all.

What resolution did you set it to?
@@TonyStaddus I have tried a few but the defealt one (8) looked and played the best. Still looks a bit weird.
@olekweenie449 If you want to change the resolution, scroll 3:04 to the Draw Resolution Scale and change the X and Y value *(2 =1440p 3 = 4K)*
