  • This video shows the kinetic log splitter cutting various woods. More details on the product below or watch our other video: • Oregon Kinetic Log Spl...
    Split wood 6x faster with kinetic power. Using kinetic energy, the Kinetic Log Splitter consumes less fuel that hydraulic splitters, saving you time and money on fuel and work efficiency. This log splitter cuts wood fast and consumes less fuel. Proudly made in the USA.
    Why Buy a Kinetic Log Splitter?
    Kinetic splitters consume less fuel than hydraulic splitters because the power requirements on the engine are less. No hydraulic fluid, cylinders, pumps, hoses, fittings, or filters eliminates hydraulic leaks and maintenance. The precision wedge splits clean, creating less wood-waste debris. Built for years of use and tested and proven with commercial firewood producers. The log splitter has a retractable work table and tongue, and let's you get work done up to 6X faster with less effort.
    How does it work?
    Precision balanced, 70-pound flywheels spin at 325 RPMs to create and store kinetic energy. As the flywheels turn, the pinion gear spins on the same shaft. When the control handle moves forward, the rack presses onto the pinion gear. The rack and push plate power forward at high speed, pushing the log through the wedge. This burst of energy adds high speed to the splitting action versus a much slower 20 to 40 ton hydraulic log splitter. As a result, most logs are split in 2 or 3 seconds instead of more than 13 seconds with a hydraulic splitter.

    If i were the owner of this setup i would lower the scoop of the conveyor and have wood just slid off the end of the table into it...

    Nice splitter, but WAY overpriced! Considering that it has far fewer moving parts and a lot fewer components than a hydraulic splitter, it's ridiculous that it costs 3 times as much!

  • @MikeBaxterABC

    So many inefficiencies here ... MOVE the conveyer (modify if needed) so the logs just fall into it ... if you're going to trow the logs ..why have the conveyer? ... move the (round log) wood pile right beside the splinter .... why have it 3 or 4 steps away?

    Instead of jamming the block up against the splitter head, try leaving about an inch or two gap to let the block build up momentum. I've found it doesn't stress the machine so much. If the block is moving when it hits the splitter, then it is using its own weight as well to help it carry on through. The way it is being used here means the machine has to start splitting the block from a standing start which requires more power. After all, it's about kinetic energy isn't it?

      No, there is not enough stored energy in the flywheels to perform a 4 or 6 way split.

    • @arnaud78

      I'd say no... Not only because of a lack of sufficient kinetic energy, but also because on a horizontal splitter design you'd be jamming logs between the blade and the table all the time.

      It's a safety feature which I personally think is a good thing... It's way too easy to get your fingers stuck between the log and mechanism on a fast moving machine like this. I do understand the perspective you're coming from though - it can be inconvenient if you have awkward logs that need a hand to stay put.

      Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows you don’t place your hand between the wedge and round. Apparently you fall into the category of having no common sense. A skilled and seasoned operator knows to keep the hand on top of the round when positioning it.

    WOULD BE NICE IF THESE SPLITTER MANUFACTURERES WOULD MAKE THE WEDGES TALL ENOUGH THAT WE DON'T HAVE TO SPEND SO MUCH TIME TRYING TO PULL THE PIECES APART BY HAND. JUST TOO CHEAP TO AD ONLY A FEW INCHES TO MAKE THEM SPLIT AS NEEDED.. ALSO...2 HAND OPERATION MAKES IT DIFFICULT

    • @georgesawyer6023
      @georgesawyer6023 Год назад

      I have a similar splitter from a different manufacturer. A taller wedge would indeed be good for easier to split wood, but might also be too hard to use for harder species of wood. Unlike the hydraulic splitters, the kinetic splitters rely more on "just right" design then brute force. To each his own. I had the $, and didn't want to use a splitter that has a long cycle time. The best RUclips channel to better understand some of the arguments for and against the kinetic splitters is Ohio Wood Burner Ltd.
