They hire people to shill bid. That’s why everything goes for near or above ebay prices. If the shill bidder ends up winning it, they price it high and put it in one of their retail stores. Then they repeat the cycle if it doesn’t sell in store.
This I will never ever use a website that doesn’t have insider bidding safeguards. I’ve seen some suspicious prices on a website that shouldn’t be touching eBay prices.

She told me they hired a person specifically to shill bid most all items that had lots of interest for their location. They are thieves. I smirk everytime I catch the goodwills in my area slipping.
It’s very very niche, like you can get good deals on bulk fine jewelry, enough to make good resell value, and also get lucky on designer shit 😂but I agree goodwill does suck lately tbh
People are sourcing from everywhere, goodwill and Salvation Army online, garage/estate sales, fb marketplace, so many options now a days and very competitive. Damn I was hoping you would’ve won for the low that would’ve been crazy lol

Conditions were also terrible. They had no windows, so much dust. I had terrible health working in the warehouse and then they fired me because I ran out of sick time and got Covid. This was back in June. They offered me my job back after I applied for unemployment. I gave up with unemployment bc I know how these disputes end. Had to start freelancing to stay afloat
I used it for collecting Lego about 7 years ago. I think it had only been around a year and I had some amazing scores. Then it began to get discovered and prices ⬆️. It was fun while it lasted. I HATE that they even do it still. YOU SUCK DEEZ GOODWILL!
