The Milescraft dust collector hose system looks like it works well in your video, but it has some mixed reviews. You've sold me on the Kobalt router & table, but what about the Milescraft system? Thanks. BTW- great job on this review. Thorough, but straight forward and good info.
Yeah I just ended up getting the cordless Kobalt router it's pretty good make cutting windows and doors out a breeze. I cannot wait till I get my hands on that EXTRA EXTRA LARGE TOUGH BUILT BAG. YOU CAN PUT THE EXTRA LARGE INSIDE THE EXTRA EXTRA LARGE BAG. JUST WISH THEY WOULD HAVE MADE A TOUGHBUILT LOCK BOX THAT'S EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA LARGE
Plan to buy this to add to my Delta table saw. It is now (2023) $179. But that is still a great deal. When compared to router lifts at several hundred, spending time building an extension table for the saw, and oh yeah, did i mention the 1/2" collet for the occasional need for a large bit.. 2 things you mentioned as problems have been addressed by other RUclipsrs 1- keeping the bit from bottoming out - add an "O" ring to the shaft. 2- Aluminum scuff marks onlight wood - coat table top with good paste wax. Thanks for a great video.

I actually bought this a couple of years ago, and have also found it to be an excellent little unit! Then I watched your video to see what you thought of it, and learned a few things in the process. I knew I didn't REALLY have to actually read that whole manual - lol!!! 🤣 Excellent review, sir!
I bought the Delta 36-725t2 yesterday and added the Kobalt router that I already had but only used once because the table was too flimsy and whatever I tried to work on moved too much to make it worth my time , However now that I have it connected to the Delta I love using it and I used it more yesterday then I have since I bought it about 2 years ago. Thanks for the video, also I have the Craftsman 10 inch table saw That was never even half as good as the delta the wheels on the delta are great because they allow you to move the table with ease if needed to work on large pieces of wood, since I'm making a window seat for my wife this ability is awesome.
Very informative review and tutorial, Brad. Appreciate it. I bought this table in Jan for $129 at Lowes and have put it to good use. Learnt a lot from your video. I also moved the switch to the side and added a plexiglass pocket to the side supports on the inside.
I've had this table/router for years and did not know it has a lift built in! never read instructions! thanks. yes miter slot is junk....will modify mine and take legs off it and mount to my tablesaw outfeed table...
I just bought it on sale. The big factor was the height adjustment with the included wrench. I agree with everything you said here, Brad. For $140, it is a great little tool.
I bought the Kobalt router table about 3 years ago. It is a very basic router table. I have been desiring to make box joints but have bee scratching my head on how to make a jig for the table. Rocker jig won't fit the miter track. I am probably going to have build a table to do box joints.
Ah man, its not a competition. Every opinion given helps the guy lookin up these kinds of reviews make a better buying decision 👍 I should of mentioned ur video, sorry about that bud
Use a few coats of paste wax and it will seal tbe top from marking light colored wood and smooth the feeding of the wood on the table. The miter slot is the worst part if you need one to mount jigs. You can't use t-bolts in it and it isn't fully clear so you can't drop in a full length bar as the little tabs block that. The tabs can also hang up the miter gage or bars sliding through. It still a good starting unit with some mods one that can grow.😂
I like this combo unit but I don't like the inserts, they are not level with the table causing pieces to jam. Is there anything that can done to correct this? Thanks...

This is not the first video I've watched on this router table but I have to ask why is everyone showing the feature to raise the bit but not showing that the dust guard/vacuum opening block the tool? This has to be removed in order to raise and lower the bit. Then replaced if you want to vacuum out the dust while in use...Kind of a pain in the butt!
Id guess because most, like myself never bothered (at least I dont remember if I did) with the vac attachment that goes on the router. But I'm glad you commented so that info is now available to people 👍
Damn been wanting a router table but I already have a router lol. That one looks very similar to one of the Bosch router tables. Thanks for the video and happy your back 👍

Our store employs students and retirees right off the street as qualified people are hard to find. Sometimes I just go to the “Pro” desk for help.
Great review, but did you notice that the height adjustment goes down smoothly, but you have to physically pick up the router while turning the elevation screw in order to raise the height? Even then, it drops down or slowly slides down with repeated use. Did you have that problem? Any fixes?
I dont have to lift mine but it is harder to raise then lower. If yours is sliding down I'd look into seeing if u can tighten the "lever/strap" you have to unclip before moving. I've had to do that on other routers in the past
The depth screw mechanism on the included router isn't the most robust thing in the world, I just support mine with my hand while raising it. You want a $130 router table, you can support the router with your hand while raising it.
I personally do not like the location of the switch, I moved mine to the leg. Its location gets in the way of unlocking the router. The router itself has problems, well mine at least. The elevation crank does not work without it dropping down after getting to the top. The aluminum top could have been square instead of rounded and tapered on the edges. I would like to use it with a sled or jig but that is not possible with this top. It would work if it had two runner tracks. But alas it only has one.
Lowes currently has these for $165. Have a project coming up building some display pedistals and have to do some box joints. Do you think this is robust enough to handle a few hundred feet of workload?
Hi Brad, great review and demo. Can you answer a couple of questions for me? What is the opening diameter on the router base. In another video it was stated that a 3/8 round over bit was to large to fit the opening. Second question, what is the width and length of the tables footprint. Just wondering if my router table cart will work with this. Thanks in advance.
Not sure how a 3/8" roundover bit would be too large. They come with different sized plates and for really large bits, i would just remove it completely. Ill check the foot print when i get home
Hi Brad, after closer review it's only an issue with the plexiglass base when using the router freehand. Apparently when mounting in the table the base most likely is removed. I'd still appreciate if you could provide the width and length of the tables footprint. Thanks again and have a Merry Christmas.
