For those who write him off today, they need this album to see the birth of full on, warp speed shredding and of course insanely original tunes like this electric guitar feedback (in the day of tube amps!) masterpiece! As Joe Walsh wrote on the Games Gang albums "Made loud, to be played loud"! Rock on!

This is Ted's masterpiece, like a virtuoso violin symphony or some s#!t. 100 years from now this tune will be the subject of study in music universities. I shook Nugent's hand when he did an autograph signing for this record's promotion at Peach's Records & Tapes in Hollywood, Ca. . The guy's hands and fingers were huge and long, respectively, compared to mine for sure. 'Double Live Gonzo' is a must have album for any rocker's collection of the all time top tenners . The song, 'Gonzo', is one of the best rock-n-roll songs ever made. The guy is a great guitarist but I wouldn't vote for him, ha !

Really an intimate type song, probably hard to pull it off live but Ted and company do it with style.

I saw Amboy Dukes in St Louis (Ambassador Theatre) in 1974 - Stranglehold was brand new. Ted was awesome, and a new lame (I thought) band opened - seemed like a Mick Jagger imitator - Aerosmith.

I seen the Amboy Dukes 1969 on the steps of the Detroit library a free WABX concert. I seen Aerosmith back up Roy Buchanan at the Michigan Palace 1974 went to see Roy :-) Peace

every time I hear this I can actually see a big fucking grizzly bear coming out of it's lair, getting his spring things going. getting a bit of poon tang (lol) and doing the big, badass thing the giants can do and then heading back to his lair to sleep again 'til next year.
every damn time I think the same thing and I'm glad I do.
