White Horses Episode 1+2 English subtitles

The first episode of the Jugoslawischen/East German Co produced series featuring Julia or Julka as she is known in the original scripts as the horse loving
Nice of Uncle Dimitri. Julia is aided in her pursuit of adventures unwittingly by the studs groom Hugo.
This series is beloved in the UK and abroad but is available here with English subtitles that were translated from the original German with the help of my dear friends. I especially wish to thank the late Jay Felton who inspired me to complete the series. Her use of the English language and her equastriann knowledge was crutial in bringing the series stories back to life. Thank you so much for that Jay I will always remember you. I would also like to thank Jerry for his superb translations and storyline accuracy. I hope you all will now enjoy the holiday of your life in the beautiful lipica stud.

This collection of videos is an amazing piece of work. The translation from the German is not always correct, sometimes obviously done from the audio, but the amount of work and love gone into it is palpable. I spent hours watching and being transformed to childhood.

Yes there was a lot of love that went into the subtitled translations. A combination of past memories and direct translation. It resulted in a unique experience. I'm so pleased with your comment. Thanks for the upload, it is very rare. But in your description is a small, but important mistake: this serie is a WEST german Co-Production. All german actors are wellknown from other west-german movies or series, especially Helga Anders,

LIke everyone of a Certain Age, of course I remember the beautiful horses and especially the glorious theme tune, but watching the first episode for the first time since I was about six I'm struck by just how good the story is. I understand the English dubbed versions are lost but if this is the quality of the subtitled version then I'm absolutely fine with that. Love this, thanks for posting "Julka" !
