This literally happened to me today, my windows were broken and my alarm didn’t go off. I’m upset but thankfully they didn’t take anything valuable, now that I know this I’m definitely installing a shock sensor on my Accord. I just wish I’d seen this video before.
Will the shock sensor work if the front radar sensor is trying to be stolen? I live in the bronx & had my windows popped 2xs & my whole block just had the sensors stolen. So i just replaced it (1grand)& im looking for a Car Alarm.. so will a shock sensor work for that? & what kind of alarm with camera monitoring do u suggest? 💡

The Civic ones are even nicer. I think what's happening is that the Accord ones are more compatible with more brand cars so easier to sell and get rid of.
BoostedWhipz yea on my last civic I had the 17” rims that looked great but were never touched. They had wheel locks but I’m sure that wasn’t stopping anyone. Might also be the size since people who buy black market are probably going for larger wheels.
Hi Frank, If I cut the wire to the door key, does that disable it and make it so they can't punch/push it in and gain entry? I had my airbag stolen this week and I was completely oblivious to this being a thing. I'm going to attempt wiring up a shock sensor, but if there's a wire that I can cut that will help decrease my changes of this happening again that would be great.

Let say the shock sensor gets activated, and the alarm goes on. How long does it say on for? Does it stop after 5-10mins? Or just keeps going and going until you turn it off?
What about rimlox? Heard they’re literally impossible to defeat? My car is a lease so I don’t want them to mess around with wiring, and all that with those alarms.

No exhaust will trigger the engine light. A catless downpipe will though. I personally think Thermal R&D is best for either the 1.5T or 2.0T. The next one up is Borla but that is expensive. Flowmaster and Magnaflow are not too dormant in my opinion. If interested in the Thermal R&D, let me know. I'll give you my direct contact.

I have to get an alarm like this added to my factory alarm because my next-door neighbor keeps hitting my car with their door in my car now has scratches so if this was on my car and the alarm went off it’ll probably scare the shit out of her but it will make her stop hitting my door with her car door

So I wanted to see if there is another place more near me at a bit cheaper price, and bestbuy told me we can’t do it to the factory alarm, it can be only installed to a third party alarm system for $400 plus labor. So bestbuy is a rip-off. This specialized shop is only saying $250

It is definitely a good investment.. My concern is mother nature and other things we may not think about.. For instance lightening and thunderstorm, heavy wind etc.. Possibly a loud car muffler. The alarm would be going off constantly. (I'm guessing)

Definitely having this done to mine but have a few questions When the alarm specialist cuts the wire to disable the lock cylinder from turning off the alarm, does the door handle not lock and unlock when you touch it? Or do you always have to unlock/lock your car with the remote? Another question if your battery died, couldn’t you use the physical key in the drivers door to unlock it?
If battery dies on the remote you will not be able to unlock. As for the lock and unlock touch sensors I am not sure. I would recommend calling the alarm specialist who is the expert.
Hey bro I’m calling around to see who can install this for me (I’m in CT) and all the shops are saying they can’t tie into factory and need to install a whole aftermarket alarm and a separate remote. Any idea what your guy was able to do to make this work?

Sucks to live in these big cities. When I visited NYC, I saw the Accord sports rims all scratched up and damaged and realized the owners did that to prevent thieves from stealing fucked up looking rims. Sucks you got to damage your own property to prevent others from stealing them.
You should have done an example of trying to steal your own wheels. If someone is going to steal wheels and that’s the reason for adding the shock sensor, the persons aren’t going to be banging on the car. You should use a jack and take wheels off as a criminal. If they want your wheels they are getting them regardless.

My 2018 Honda Accord EXL 1.5 Turbo came with the wheel anti theft. I actually hit the rim and wheel of the day of purchase and alarm came on.

Yes and no. The wire cut goes in hand with the shock sensor.

Not sure about the timer. Haven't left it to go off for an extended period of time. I believe it's going to stay based on OEM spec.

Rimlox is another great option but what's the cost? And that only protects your wheels. What about the rest of the car?

Shock sensor in my opinion because it picks up everything. Tilt sensor will only pick up tilting. No banging, broken window, etc.

They sell other kits to offer those options you mentioned but that requires a whole new alarm system and more money.

Not at all. The shock sensor will not interfere with any of that. It's just adds a sensor not jeopardize another.

You set the sensitivity to your needs. Obviously can cover all scenario but again I rather it go off for nothing than go through a theft scenario.

No sir... This goes connected directly to your alarm panel. Nothing else.

The car is set off by vibration and sounds. Trust me it will go off. Additionally you can set the sensitivity to where you want it.
