That hull creep (flattening) that makes it so your box doesn’t fit can be fixed. I received a compass that already had (flattened) in the vendors storage warehouse. Simply get some jumbo pool noodles & cut portions large enough (length wise) & position them vertically to push the deck up around the hatch allowing room for bucket clearance to give you the deck lift necessary for the hatch to close. Not to mention this also gives you the added benefit of additional floatation foam.
Nice Setup, I have the same issue with my Compass. The bucket won't fit inside. I found a plastic toy storage container and cut the top lip and used goop to stick it at the bottom. It is not perfect, but works.
Where are the instructions for the 3D printed "bung", that fits around the Scotty extended camera mount, to help secure it into the exhisting rod holder. Thank you.
Thank you for your video.. when you insert your drive and it locks in, and u try to wiggle it does it play a little or its snug with no movement? It looks like I have little small gap when the drive sets on the kayak, I haven’t tested out on the water yet so I am just wondering. Thanks!
It does wiggle ever so slightly from front to back. But I also broke the alignment pins/tabs on it so I’m not sure if that’s why. When you insert the drive make sure it goes in straight down and not at angle or you can break the alignment tabs. I do remember that when I inserted the drive at the wrong angle a few times that there was more wiggle/play
Cheap cooler > $70 😱 Warping issues? How long have you had your hobbie? Nice overview. You didn't mention an anchoring system. Do you just troll and don't need one? I am gonna do an overview for my kayak. 👍
Maybe warping isn’t the right word, more like compressed a bit. I guess some other people have same problems, it’s probably from sitting on the stand. Or maybe the deck itself has compressed down a bit. I’ll have to trim the basket to make it fit. No anchor trolley yet but maybe down the road if I do more bass. I haven’t really needed to anchor it yet. Yeah man looking forward to seeing your video!

I’ll probably film the completed “fix” & post it to my channel. That might give the benefit of visualizing it.

Thank for Garmin transducer adaptor information for Hobie owners.

Is there a 3D printer file for the cup holder mod? That thing is gonna save me so many headaches lol
For the compass, hobies bucket wont fit due to the hull design. Burley pro bucket will.
Thanks for the solid overview.
Thanks for sharing! I’ll also have my camo in 2 weeks. Looking forward to your videos!
Luke Evangelista thanks! You’re going to love it!
Sweet video bro, I'm starting to like the compass even more
Thanks man! You gotta get one 😉 let’s go fishing soon?
@@ZachTaiji for sure bro, still gotta catch a salmon from the yak
have you 3d printed seat risers or know of anyone who has? the burley pro risers are like $100 which seams crazy.....
Did you 3D print the cup holder?

@@ZachTaiji I haven't made it yet. Gonna go try for some crab today. But maybe I'll make it this week.
