  • Hatsan AT44 .177 (2013) partial disassembly and safety removal. The safety mechanism in this AT44 model is automatic (engaged each time the gun is cocked), this video shows how to modify it to manual control only, or disable automatic and manual safety altogether.
    Taking the opportunity, a partial disassembly is done, not only to show how it can be done but also to facilitate video footage.

    Great video. Trigger and safety assembly was more awkward to remove. Gentle tap with a drift bar did mine a treat.

    What a great video! I appreciate the time and effort you put in on producing this Hatsan repair video. It certainly gave me a much better understanding of the rifle assembly.
    Thank you!

    Thank you so much for this detailed video. I removed the auto safety by cutting the top off the bar, so much better now and I still have the manual safety. AAA+

      You welcome! You made the best choice, mine is totally unsafe :). If I ever use it for something other than benchrest I will cut it too and reinstall it, better to be safe when handling any gun.

      I forgot to measure them... The AT44-10 (2009 model) exploded view and
      parts list describes them as 5 mm x 1 mm (internal diameter x cross section) regardless being .177 or .22 caliber. Mine is a 2013 model .177, I think its o'rings are same size (the exploded view PDF file does not show a parts list). Hope this helps. You are welcome Jonathon!

    Hi, one of the screws that separates the lower from the upper on my gun is destroyed so I can not remove it. I wanted to ask, is it still possible to remove the trigger if I do not separate the lower and the upper module of the gun? Thank you!

    • @unrelatedactivities
      @unrelatedactivities  7 лет назад

      In the single shot model there is no trouble, just remove the action from the stock and remove the trigger block. Other models may be different (PA ex.).

    Why not just remove the piece that protrudes into the area of the cocking handle? That way you can still use the safety if needed.

    Parabéns pela iniciativa amigo! A minha At44 10 está com a trava muito dura, vou desmontar para lubrificar. me indica algum lubrificante especifico?

    • @unrelatedactivities
      @unrelatedactivities  7 лет назад

      Obrigado!! O único lubrificante que conheço foi um brinde que ganhei, Corrosion X (não o spray, um líquido). É bem fino e uso em quantidades bem pequenas tanto para limpar as partes metálicas externas como eventualmente lubrificar algumas junções internas. No caso da trava ela não deveria estar difícil de operar em função de falta de lubrificação, pode ser que a esfera que faz o "click" tenha se soltado e a mola que a empurra esteja entortando no botão da trava. Esta esfera é bem fácil de se perder na hora de desmontar/montar. Na minha AT44 certa vez aconteceu de eu apertar os parafusos da coronha com a ação um pouco mais para trás do que normal, e a trava ficou pesada também.
      Espero ter ajudado!

    do you know how to remove anti tamper pin blocking the adjuster screw on some models ?

    • @unrelatedactivities
      @unrelatedactivities  7 лет назад +2

      I don't know how the anti tamper is implemented in the AT44... if it is similar to the HW100 (a grub screw glued in the hammer) you can remove it by using heat, like shown on Rob Garcia's video (at 3:12):
      ruclips.net/video/_B3DzcmEFQk/видео.html
      hope this helps

    • @tom19871987

      It looks like a pin but I've tried drilling it and unscrewing with a torq driver and then tried tapping it out but might be glued as you said...triggers a pain get back in !

      now ive reassembled it as was looks right and now the spring isn't locking back when cocking it, any ideas ?

    • @unrelatedactivities
      @unrelatedactivities  7 лет назад

      If everything is assembled right, maybe the trigger is adjusted too light. You can increase the trigger weight and see if it works ok, if not, probably something was not in its right place when the AT44 was reassembled.

    how to do it with bt65lw ?

    • @unrelatedactivities
      @unrelatedactivities  8 лет назад

      I still have not disassemble the BT65 (apart from stock, barrel and air cylinder), but seems almost as easy as the AT44 single shot (the magazine mechanism increases the number of parts somewhat). Regarding trigger safety, all BT models I know are manual only. My BT65 probably will need to have its hammer spring adjusted, then I will make a video showing disassembly (just waiting the arrival of JSB Exacts 18gr to do it).
