One of my top 5 fave albums
Same. It's a perfect length, no misses, and extremely unique.
22 is definitely a grower as others have said! Every next listen you will hear so many different sounds you never noticed before. It's amazing. Love your reaction!
8 (circle) is probably my favorite song of all time. Really has gotten me through some times man, as has the rest of this album. A complete masterpiece.
really happy to see how deeply you’ve understood Bon Iver. Justin is perhaps the greatest gift music has been given in a couple generations, and you’ll begin to realize that his music is a lifetime commitment. even after you’ve listened to each Bon album, you’ve barely scratched the surface…once you’ve gotten to know this album well, give the NPR live show a try
One of my all time favorite albums and a huge grower. It’s so great to see folks hearing this and appreciating it on first listen. Great reaction!
It's not a basic autotune. It's a hardware he and his producer created for this album called Messina.
8 circle and 33 god are two of my favorite songs of all times. NPR gig is incredible. Please, do yourself a favor and watch it.
The best thing about Justin Vernon is that he has a lot of music out there besides Bon Iver. Volcano Choir's sophomore album is beautiful, I really recommend you listening to it
Even if you give Justin dogshit autotune, i truly believe he can make a second 22, AM album lmfao. He's that good.
Big red machine is wonderful as well
@@MayorBrownnyess I was just about to recommend big red machine
Always love seeing people listen to this album for the first time. Your takes are so positive and genuine. Truly awesome stuff
Watch Bon Iver NPR concert to see just how talented they are! It makes this whole album even better
They have a studio session that’s about 20 mins long of Justin Vernon (lead vocals) and Sean Carry (drums, backup vocals) each playing a grand piano performing some of the most beautiful music you will ever hear.
Highly recommend giving it a listen/watch
This album just gets better and better.
Mark my words I will buy you a concert ticket when BI goes on a US tour! Love your take on all the albums thus far. Their live performances are unreal. Ive had the honor of attending 6.
As much as I appreciate the sentiment, I live in Brazil hahahaha but THANK YOU
Really love your reactions.
This album REALLY does it for me more than any other bon iver album. It hits every heartstring. I love it truly
I think my favorite is still his self titled album, but recently this is the one I’ve heard the most
@DougAraujo both great albums! Not sure why ive not listened to their self titled as much lately
actually each of the 4 albums from bon iver is the theme of the four seasons. for emma is winter, self titled is spring, this one is summer and i,i is fall.
If you don’t mind me asking, is this your theory or did somebody of authority say this?
@@divinerdan8413 One of the trailers for his albums mentioned the seasons while showing and playing the albums. Here's the trailer:

So its basically confirmed officially. He also released a few songs for his upcoming album. But since we only have 4 seasons and that is the 5th one, its currently called "season 5" lmao.
Moon water and 8 circle feel so cool to me, like you're being put in a rain forest. I always thought it sound like autumn
That’s so cool but I don’t get summer from this album at all
I could write a lyrical dissertation on "Blood Bank" and if you asked me what my favorite song of his was my head would probably explode.
One of my fave albums of all time! 33 God is incredible, the Paolo Nutini sample 😭
I was able to see him in Bend a few months ago. First time seeing him live. Straight up a spiritual experience. I saw you're in Brazil, but if you haven't seen it already, NPR has an absolute amazing video concert. The mix is perfect, the set is great, and the vibe is immaculate.
Bro you're the best! Much respect
When this album came out people really thought he was satanic and I was living for it
I’d love him even more if he were
Everyone seems to talk about Bon Iver as an artist.... Bon Iver is a band....
Highly recommend watching their full set from Pitchfork Music Festival that’s on my RUclips channel. They are one of the best live bands of all time. These songs really come to life in a live setting. Would love to see you react to it!
"This is his Yeezus" is apt given that this was his first album coming off of contributing heavily to Yeezus :D
expectations are hilarious 😂😂😂😂
9:30 Wait till you listen to the live version of 715 CREEKS. Every concert has a different version, high note, texture, etc. The reverb in the live version also helps a ton. You should react to it someday.
i love 10 d e a t h b r e a s t
Bon iver live at NPR is even better man I’m telling it’s actually crazy the live version of his albums are better 🫶🏼
the 3 track run of 715 CREEKS, 33 GOD, and 29 Strafford Apts is legitimately otherworldly. Making one song even close to these is unbelievable, but having THREE BACK TO BACK TO BACK? 🤯
3 of my favorite songs of his and they’re one after the other, this man is possessed
Creeks is one of my all time favourite songs
My favourite of all time
I’ve been listening to it the most recently, it’s a masterpiece
@@DougAraujowe need that i, i reaction
@@MayorBrownn I’m on it!
@@DougAraujo:)
He wrote this album after having a nervous breakdown after the success of his self titled album and winning several Grammys
Você é brasileiro cara :( seria legal fazer conteúdo pro Br tbm
😂 He does “just drop 10’s.” But I’m curious to see what you think of his last album. It’s taken me so long to get into it. That album still isn’t a 10 for me
