@@nanapaula1031 6:14 this is probably the most obvious "cut". They cut out Jungkook and used that footage over the new footage of RM Jimin and Jhope coming in. They did the same thing in their MV for Dope when RM's rap starts. He walks off the first screen into new video footage of the group behind him (Suga's "enemy enemy enemy" part). You can actually see V get way too close to RM at the end of that scene in Dope cuz RM is just on a green screen.
What makes this even more beautiful is that it was a one shot. Long this song💜

This song holds a special place in my heart. It’s the first BTS song I heard and the song that made me an ARMY.
“Save me" is a song i can relate to as BTS saved me back in 2014 and now 10 years later im getting better and with them in my life im fine.
Also i just loving hearing all the lads voices live but Jimins just hits me differently hearing his voice in a live performance as it gets so emotional.
Also Yoongi can rap even faster and he has proven it.
Also this is my number 1 fav song by BTS and when ever this song comes on my Spotify playlist I never skip it as its a song you can't skip as it's just so good also the MV was all shot in one take (which is really hard to do)

I started (secretly) looking into BTS last May, but got super involved beginning in October. And STILL. I feel like there is still so much to learn not just about the guys, but about their music and journey as well. Doesn't matter that I've heard all of their discography or watched a bunch of Run BTS, or Bon Voyage, etc... I still haven't heard a lot of their Soundcloud stuff. I still haven't finished all of their shows. There are interviews and performances that I haven't seen. There is just SO MUCH content, and even though I've been in this for a year, there's still a lot of catching up to do!

I’m a two year ARMY and spend a good part of each day searching through videos of BTS. There’s so much I don’t know because I wasn’t there at the beginning and can’t speak more than a tiny bit of Korean but filling in the missing pieces is so much fun.

There is a genuineness and sincerity to BTS that is unfamiliar in celebrities that reach their level of fame. They share so much, or as much as they can, and have so much affection for their fandom that doesn't seem fake or pandering. I like watching your videos because I can't discover BTS for a 1st time again but I can watch other, like you, find the magic of BTS for the 1st time

Their discography is soooo huge! I've been listening to them every single day since I met them for the second and definite time and I know there are songs I never heard yet.
If you heard less than 70 songs, mmmm you know less than 20% of their production :-( and as you said every song is a different emotion... They have no bad song.

In my own opinion, BTS feels real because we can relate to them, to their lyrics. When we read what they are singing, it turns on a switch and our collective consciousness sighs and says 'Yes! That's exactly how that feels...exactly what I meant...exactly what I needed to hear just at that moment!'...and they put to music every emotion we have ever felt. We can ALL relate to a song by BTS because we have ALL felt the same things - heartache, sorrow, anger, joy, elation, gratitude. BTS invokes real emotions in us all, and that makes them real to us. 💜💜💜
One of the (many) reasons that you're my favorite reactor to watch is because you get so emotional with the music in a way that I really relate to. It's like it transcends just the music or just the words, there's a feeling that you get and I love knowing other people get it too. I really want to see you react to "Breathe" by Lee Hi. The song was originally written by Jonghyun from SHINee and it's a beautiful song with an incredible message, and hearing her sing the words makes me full on cry, not just tear up. Especially as someone who really loved Jonghyun, hearing Lee Hi sing "Breathe" hits a special place in my heart.

BOY MEET EVIL!! its a J-Hope solo from the Wings album. OMG please please do check out that music video. The lyrics and the dance are very intense and powerful, as a J-hope bias, I think Boy Meet Evil is such a hidden gem of J-Hope's.
They are such consummate professionals. Dancing on the uneven surface of a moor on a cold, sleety day, freezing their a**es off, but they still nail the choreo in a single shot. They're amazing! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Love this song and your reaction. One of the things about BTS that always pumps me up is the way they shift "frontman" spots. One minutes it's RM with JK and Jimin behind him, then it Hobi with everyone behind him. I LOVE that. BTS just does it best.
The beauty of this song and the MV is how they've filmed it in one take - you should watch the making of this video, you'll see the members taking turns to appear in frame and rest of the time they're walking behind along with the cameraman. Its just brilliant! And the vocals are top notch in this track!! You should react to Coldrain's songs, their discography is just so awesome and their latest album, Nonnegative, has a lot of bangers. Personally, I recommend listening to The Story, Envy, You Lie, We're not alone, Before I Go, Gone (very Linkin Park-ish), From Today, Mayday, Feed the Fire, Bloody Power Fame, Paradise, Cut Me and January 1st. They have so much more songs I would recommend from them. Masato, the band's vocalist and lyricist, co-wrote One Ok Rock's Renegades alongside Ed Sheeran, you'll notice that the lyrics are very Coldrain-ish if you start listening to his band

I used to be really into another boy band years ago and love many other artists, but none come close to how BTS makes me feel. Like you I also cant fully understand or explain it - its not just their insane talents, they radiate kindness and care.

It’s amazing, I’ve been army for a year and a half and they just make me so damn happy! They are all fantastic performers, but J Hope has what I feel is a more natural stage presence…he just flows more naturally. I don’t think it’s even possible to catch up with all of their content. 💜💜💜
i agree V put´s on a show, JK adds power and jimin flirts and seduces you. Suga is just hard to read but he is a great performer he really feels the energy. RM is more leader and sophisticated and raw when he sings. and j-hope is fluent and natural and powerful at the same time

This is a great song... TY for listening with us. It's counterpoint is "I'm Fine". If you did Fake Love, you probably noticed the words in the mirror "Save Me". But when it turns upside down it says "I'm Fine"... both of them seem to be V's songs - well, to me anyway. I'm Fine doesn't have a MV but there are several performance videos to watch... I actually like the one they did on Jimmy Fallon in Sept 2018. Right before they signed a new contract with BigHit (1-1/2 years early, before their old contract was up.) They'd been having a rough year but seemed to be coming out of it at that point. It's totally worth checking out a performance of them back to back because:
-The signature notes are the same but reversed
- The lyrics correspond
- The order of the rap line is reversed
- The choreography goes from individual to supporting each other and lifting each other up
...and probably more. It's pure genious!
(I mean, it is BTS so... 😏)
It makes perfect sense to say they feel real- I always say they feel so GENUINE- but it's so hard to pin down exactly why them. Other artists write and produce their own music, other artists open up their hearts and expose themselves, other singers sing well and rappers rap well and dance well... granted not generally all at the same time, except for K-pop groups... and all K-pop groups work insanely hard and strive for excellent teamwork and give their all. There's just some elusive magic about these particular seven guys that launches their emotion from their hearts straight to ours.
Maybe it's because Bang PD wanted them to tell their stories through their music. Maybe it's because they've been allowed more freedom to express themselves than others. Or maybe it's because they include the fandom in so much of their lives and feelings and we can't doubt their sincerity. Maybe even in part because ARMY is an unusually close, diverse, supportive fandom, a giant family to each other and to 'our' guys. I don't know; you can't explain this kind of emotion logically, and it's probably some of all these and more. It's crazy. But it's beautiful and glorious and we're so fortunate to be able to share it. 💜

Save Me is one MV where the Behind the Scenes is a MUST; because the cameraman is part of the choreography. The MV was filmed in one shot, with the cameraman and members moving around each other seamlessly. And it was overcast, because they had to wait for a storm to clear before they could film. The whole Behind the Scenes shows their professionalism, dedication, and involvement in the process of filming their MVs💜
"Save me" used to be one of those songs that just existed for me (I had a lot of BTS songs to choose from, so it didn't grab me right off the bat). And then I heard them perform it on "NPR's Tiny Desk Concert" and it completely changed my experience of the song. It's now one of my absolute favorites.
When you said that you will be experiencing "House of Cards" (hopefully the *full version* of the song) next, I got chills! I am so flipping excited, and I really hope you like the song. It is, without a doubt, my absolute favorite vocal line song. Period; it's no contest. I would recommend listening to it with the best set of headphones you got and just enjoy the majesty of that song! The production, the vocals, the atmosphere! I love it so much!! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!

"House of Cards" is my Very Favorite vocal line song. Please find the live on stage performance. You can not only see the emotion, but feel it. I literally fell in love with Jin's belting voice. Two words and he got me, "No way. No Way." His special velvet voice would be perfect for Broadway. With his acting skills and that voice, he could be a leading man on the Broadway Stage".

You sum it up so well. I have no answer but I feel I need them in my life. No matter how I am feeling I can select songs from them that calm me or hype me up or relax me etc. If I am down I watch 5 minutes of Run BTS and I am giggling like a kid, and I am 50 next month! They found me 2 years ago and this feeling has not diminished, if anything it has strengthened. I never tire of them. So well said Luke. Love this song and check out the making of because it was one shot and a so a really special video..the day was windy and rainy...loved what they do..its always so different to the other kpop groups
it takes time to know bts you have to watch different things. i started with the mv and i fell in love with jimin dancing so i watched videos of him dance and i saw the shows they put on and it was jaw dropping. later i watched the reaction til bts and the members and then it was funny moments and when i got to know them i watched run bts and all that. i feel like i know them so well that i can read something and just know which member said it. so i think you should go where you want to go. if you want to watch funny videos for a while than do that. it can be alot to just watch the music in one go. but starting with random clips is not given you the whole thing. watch a full run bts ep or in the soop. i think soop is the best because they just get to relax and cook together

The video is one continuous shot. There’s no cuts at all. They had to do different takes while shooting because of weather conditions. It was raining, windy, and I’m assuming muddy but they handled it like professionals.
You should know that there is a sequel to this song called “I’m Fine” (one of my personal favorites). In Fake Love there is a sign towards the end with V that reads Save Me. Well if you read it upside down, it reads I’m Fine.

Edit: the “Boy Meets _” at the end is referring to Boy Meets Evil, the intro song to the Wings Album. This song came out in the album before Wings called The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever so it’s kind of like a teaser. They also had a sign saying “Boy Meets What” at the end of the Fire MV. Also Boy Meets Evil is a Jhope solo song :)
