The hate they got were absolutely uncalled for and made no sense. BTS made songs in response to that like the cypher series, but made songs like this to comfort us as well. “Take my hand and let’s walk through our good memories. If you believe me, then count 1, 2, 3” During the Wings tour when they performed this song, army would always (whether they knew the lyrics or not) would sing this song back to BTS after the performed it. The music dies down, and army songs the lyrics to them to give them back that same comfort. It’s the unspoken message between army and BTS saying “If you don’t abandon me, we wont abandon you either. At that time armys planned on surprising bts by putting purple plastic bags on their light sticks to resemble a flower path that the members would walk through. It was then that ARMY themselves discovered the purple ocean and the purple color has stuck ever since.

I think all those haters were (and still are) motivated by jealousy and jealousy is a dangerous disease. It was indeed heartbreaking how much hate and disdain BTS received and to think they were so young. It's infuriating and frustrating. But they continued on their own and won a spectacular victory and reached peaks that those who hate them cannot even dream of and all this without a drop of malice but with great love. BTS's love and caring nature-especially for their ARMY, is so heartwarming and they almost never fail to mention "us" in all they do and I know for me, it endears them to me even further-if that is even possible. Jealosy in the K-Pop fandoms is a known and unfortunate fact. It's such an incredibly competitive industry. There has never been a K-Pop band like BTS and the hate they received as they became more and more successful and famous worldwide was rampant from fandoms of other K-Pop groups. I am 63 and I wish that you had been around when I was in 7th grade. I was the new girl and I played a French horn and I got the most hate and bullying to the point I contemplated suicide. It was shocking that there was a death threat against Jimin and his family on Twitter earlier this month over someone’s obsessive need to “ship” Tae and JK, and being mad at Jimin because he was supposedly “in the way”. ARMY came out in force and helped handle it. But so scary.

Jealosy in the K-Pop fandoms is a known and unfortunate fact. It's such an incredibly competitive industry. There has never been a K-Pop band like BTS and the hate they received as they became more and more successful and famous worldwide was rampant from fandoms of other K-Pop groups. Anything to bring them down. It still goes on to some extent but nothing like it used to be. But there's no other fandom like Army. Someday everyone will understand just how devoted and protective we are of our guys. We are a force to be reckoned with and we've proved it time and time again. And Luke, don't you change. As you were talking I realized how important the example they are of trusting each other and fans. It's so hard to feel confident after getting criticized even when you have supporters. They really have an amazing balance of vulnerability and strength.
This why their friendship with each other is so special, 7 together. They haven’t faced it alone. As the lyrics say, erase all the sad memories, forget it. If you store up the hateful comments and remember them it gives them power over you. It’s how you react to critics, you have a choice, either let it bring you down or rise above it all. I am 63 and I wish that you had been around when I was in 7th grade. I was the new girl and I played a French horn and I got the most hate and bullying to the point I contemplated suicide. The next year we moved again and I was never bullied again. I think that is one of the reasons I love BTS so much. Their positivity is healing! I love watching your reactions to them :)

It was shocking that there was a death threat against Jimin and his family on Twitter earlier this month over someone’s obsessive need to “ship” Tae and JK, and being mad at Jimin because he was supposedly “in the way”. ARMY came out in force and helped handle it. But so scary.

The attack keep coming from every angle(either bts or army) and it’s continuously. Luckily btsxarmy managed to stop that even it takes time. I just wish the new army will never face that toxic experience. Such a bad memories, just forget, keep moving forward. Make a better future together side by side, hand by hand.

One of the reasons why I love them so much is because they are so raw and transparent with us.
They are the kindest souls. They always make sure we are ok. They write songs to us like they owe US something, when in fact, we owe THEM so much. No matter what they have been through with all of the hate, they still send out positive vibes to everyone. I just absolutely adore them.

I watched this today, after the announcement. The strength of this song is that; while sometimes you need to hear this, also sometimes you need to say this message to them. We are a team, always effected and energized by eachother. We always console each other. Forget the worries, know that we are always here. This song has this message in its roots and it is a two way song, from them to us, and from us to them. wish you would of watched 2!3! purple ocean project project live instead. during that live performance army got purple paper and wrapped their army bombs and had a surprise for bts to make the entire crowd shine in purple to show their love. this was before army bombs could change colors. bts were so surprised and grateful it was awesome to see.
