Aye! Ted! Mate I am so glad you liked it brother! I’ll be back I swear and I can’t wait to hang out at the shop man. It was such a pleasure meeting you hey!
Good adventure. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. Every time I step outside of my comfort zone I discover something new about me. The first time I was on a plane was to go down to Denver CO and complete my enlistment in the Navy. I was 19 and a green girl from a small town. I met so many great people in boot camp and at every one of my duty stations. Lots of new places to explore too like the Smithsonian Museums in DC. Arlington National Cemetery, all the National Monuments. Even slept overnight under the boughs of a huge evergreen tree at the Washington Monument. Nobody knew I was there. Beaches in San Diego CA. Great time. Discovered there was more to me than met the eye during that time too. It's good to stretch our boundaries of knowledge.
Oh man Roxanna I loved that story. How good is saying yes to things and pushing past that comfort zone. It filled me up so much and I learnt more about me than I ever thought I would.
- a Canadian rock hounder here. I refer to it as rock picking with my little group of fellow rock hounders here. (Like we’re going to pick blueberries lol.) I subscribe to a lot of you in this video. Stellar video Rookie. Absolutely beautiful. You guys are all awesome and I loved seeing your special trip with all of these great RUclipsrs. Beautifully told.
In SW Minnesota there is a definite distinction between rock picking and rock hunting. Rock picking is a necessary evil… you go through your farm fields and pick up ALL rocks over a certain size because you don’t want to accidentally pick them up with your machinery. A rock going through a combine can cause massive damage - meaning lots of money for repairs and lost time. It was not a fun job, mostly because it was heavy, hard work and it was boring because most of the rocks in our fields were common Sioux quartzite. Only rarely did we ever find anything interesting. Rock picking would have been much less work and more fun if we had agates or other interesting rocks in our area! Rock hunting on the other hand, is fun. You get to be selective of what you pick up, keep and haul around. It is perfectly fine to leave all of the unwanted rocks because they aren’t going to hurt anything. My two cents worth: Rock hunting is fun, rock picking is work.
@@rockrockprettyrock6594 funny you say this. As a kid I acted hated blueberry picking but we did it as a family and it was work. But I’m a girly girl and the words rock picking sounds cute and fun to me, especially with my high school best friend. The dog doesn’t understand when I’m going out at my parents for rocks. My sister tells the dog I’m going rock shopping because it understands the word shopping. I’ll take any funny term that works because it is fun. Rock shopping, rock picking, whatever. It’s all fun.
I'm going to need you to put a teary-eyed warning on these videos so I can be emotionally prepared. 😃 Seriously - just incredible, and we are all so happy for you!! Thanks for sharing with us!

Great video bud. You do look good in a dress. Lol. I can’t wait to see the series of videos you put out. Nice sneak preview of them all. Just makes me want to see them more.
This is an awesome video!! What an adventure with rockhounds. I loved seeing everyone come together. It was also great to see Kim out with y’all. I haven’t seen her videos in some time and been hoping she was ok.
Thanks mate, it was an absolute dream of a trip. Yeah I never met Kim before this trip and man, she’s such a rad person and has a big ol super kind heart
Looks like you had a great trip. 👍. Since I started back in the fossicking game it seems like there are a lot of good people in the hobby, more so than in any other activities I’ve been involved in. Genuinely good people sharing a common “addiction” of the fossicking /lapidary world.
@silverback5033 yeah man, honestly, I was made to feel so welcome and accepted and tbh yourself very much included, I haven’t met any crap people in the hobby yet. I catch up with you soon brother!!!!!!
Hahaha! love this! Man I would absolutely have flipped to get to have met those guys honestly. Derek is mates with them and said they’re so down to earth and genuine and I hope one day I’ll get the chance honestly
Rockhounding on the Yellowstone is amazing! I took my brothers out there a few years ago and we found so many agates, jaspers, and petrified wood that we came home with buckets. We drove straight out from Ohio. But on the way back we went north and stopped by the Badlands of North Dakota and found some crazy blue seam agates, then Lake Superior agates in Duluth Minnesota and all along the coast of Lake Superior in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and went back home through the lower Peninsula. Rockhounding is always better when you're doing it with good friends or family who share the same passion for rocks, gems, and fossils! Great video series here!!!
The fact that I watch all of you guys and u all hang out still blows my mind! It looked like such and adventure and the way you edited this was awesome. Can't wait for more of the trip! U guys are so awesome. Montana is a bucket list place for me and the more I see of it the more exciting it looks..glad you became family with all of them there. I only wish I could meet all you guys in Montana one day! Rock hounding there looked fantastic
That was a beautiful representation of your trip to meet up with your Brother and new Sister (OK.. they're not exactly blood.. but close enough to fool most people). It's my hope that one day you'll return and start a whole new 'album' of adventures Jesse!
I look forward to more videos. I am SO glad you made it up north. You met the best of the best, and I’m sure they’d love to have you back. Australia is amazing, too, so I hope they pay you a visit. I’m glad you saw the prairie as well as the mountains. I am a westerner. I love the vastness….the nothing. It is reassuring to me. East of the Missouri River there is a town every 15 miles. Nope. Not my cup of tea. I’ve had eastern friends freak out at the empty. They say, “What if something happened!?” I say, “Well, help might be a long time coming….but it would show up.”
Haha yeah the vastness of some of the country side is incredible. It’s just gorgeous honestly, I was so lucky to have gotten to see it but I’m hanging out to get back there hey
Rookie, I started watching Rockhounds on YT about 4-5 years ago. It has brought back a level of joy that I had as a little girl Today I look for rocks on our small ranch that has an abundance of treasures to be discovered. The way you narrated this video was very touching! Sharing a passion with friends who make it fun, introduce new treasures to find, provide the opportunity and knowledge makes the experience everlasting! Being a Grandma gave me joy to look back on my childhood memories and I am now waiting to experience and looking forward to sharing it with my Greatgrandbabies In the very near future. It was wonderful to see you again and we will be keeping watch for your next video!
Oh thank you for such a beautiful message 🙏 knowing people enjoy the videos and hearing people’s stories they share is one of my favourite things about this channel. Thank you so so much!
Oh my gosh I should have stayed over a couple days in LA! That would have been awesome! Next time I fly over, I’m gonna have to do that. It’d be nice to break up the flights a bit too. I’m gonna hold you to it 😁
It was nice to meet you in person and be able to spend time time having fun with everyone! p.s. I almost honked through that tunnel and would've probably messed up your clip hahahaha
@Rookie_Rockounding growing up, we were always accustomed to honking a hord through the tunnel. Other people i know would hold their breathes. I held back haha
Haha dude we hold our breath when we pass a cemetery and we lift our feet when going over train tracks. I feel the tunnel honk is something that is definitely worthy of becoming a tradition haha
And so you're back , back from the states. I just turned on my RUclips app and saw that look upon your face. Weren't you the who told us all that you would fly , back to the states and then gave the reason why. Enough, you have now ended your period of adjustment, you have put all of the trauma behind you and moved on. Good for you.😊😊

Glad that you found some amazing rocks to bring back with you, and wonderful memories to last a lifetime! Cant wait for those honeymoon videos from your homeland too! Cheers!
Oh I know right, some of my favourite times was being in the car with those two. They’re such genuinely good hearted people and it was so hard to leave

I love the energy. I love the fellowship, and I especially love all the feels! P. S. Great editing on the video, Jesse!
@@Rookie_Rockounding I was actually expecting to either see a GoFundMe campaign, or a live telethon to raise enough money to pay the postage required to get all your rocks home! 🤣 I'd imagine there's quite a few people out there who would pay good money to see you wearing that dress during a live Q&A!
Oh my goodness .. Theo and Jess I wish I could have came along.. I have enjoyed watching all of you through the years... my journey started with Nate, then, Rob, then Kate, Theo and you.. marlana, Alex, all of the top 15 hounders.. as I was shut down following a complete restoration of my bicep on my prominent arm.. Great video bud. You do look good in a dress. Lol. I can’t wait to see the series of videos you put out. Nice sneak preview of them all. Just makes me want to see them more.
What an amazing glimpse into your adventure. I'm so thankful you shared. 😊
Awesome video with some great Montana founders.
Hopefully you'll see a few coming your way to hound too ...
Wow, Awesome xxx
Wow! What a fun time you guys had. Perfect Wedding & Good people 👍 So when ya! going back again? Jesse 😄😆
Onya! 👍
Hahaha already planning it Kath 🤣🤣
Don’t know why, couldn’t go to bed tonight, still awake at midnight and then the notification flashed up. Now I have to watch. 😂😂
Dude!!!! Yes Shane! I’m sorry you couldn’t sleep but also stoked you got to see it now 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Looks like you had a great trip.
That was a PaleoChris and a Wild Kyle shy of being an Avengers level team up of RUclips rockhounds😃.
Hahaha! love this! Man I would absolutely have flipped to get to have met those guys honestly. Derek is mates with them and said they’re so down to earth and genuine and I hope one day I’ll get the chance honestly
You are a true inspiration to all and we love seeing your joy at seeing these new treasures

@@Rookie_Rockounding 🤣
Oh mate that sounds like a dream road trip! I only wish I had more time to get to more of those places myself
Thanks buddy 🤘
Jesse!! What a video ❤ canni wait to see the rest of the trip 😁
Tah Anna!!! Onto editing the next ones as we speak. Hopefully I’ll get one out every few weeks 🤞🤞🤞
Awe thank you for the kind message ❤️
That was a beautiful representation of your trip to meet up with your Brother and new Sister (OK.. they're not exactly blood.. but close enough to fool most people). It's my hope that one day you'll return and start a whole new 'album' of adventures Jesse!
Thank you John mate ☺️☺️☺️
Montana is magical.
What a wonderful video and thank you so much for sharing it with us!🥰
I look forward to more videos.
What's up rookie I just want to say you are a legend all your videos are amazing keep up the amazing work 👍👏
Hey man thank you so much! I doubt them so much sometimes so I’m just stoked people enjoy them! Thank you mate 🤘
I'm just giddy for you. What an adventure full of epic memories ❤
Too wholesome for this world brother. Can't wait for your next vid!
Being a Grandma gave me joy to look back on my childhood memories and I am now waiting to experience and looking forward to sharing it with my Greatgrandbabies
In the very near future.
It was wonderful to see you again and we will be keeping watch for your next video!
Oh thank you for such a beautiful message 🙏 knowing people enjoy the videos and hearing people’s stories they share is one of my favourite things about this channel. Thank you so so much!
@@Rookie_Rockounding🙏
Magnificent time and crew and adventure crew as family
Man you know it Miles
Aww I love this so much. Next time stay longer in LA, Ill take you to the agates :)
Oh my gosh I should have stayed over a couple days in LA! That would have been awesome! Next time I fly over, I’m gonna have to do that. It’d be nice to break up the flights a bit too. I’m gonna hold you to it 😁
@@Rookie_Rockoundingfor suresies. Next time :)
Amazing video!! Thanks for sharing!!
It was nice to meet you in person and be able to spend time time having fun with everyone!
p.s. I almost honked through that tunnel and would've probably messed up your clip hahahaha
Bahaha Kyle seriously it probably woulda scared the crap outta the four of us 🤣
@Rookie_Rockounding growing up, we were always accustomed to honking a hord through the tunnel. Other people i know would hold their breathes.
I held back haha
Haha dude we hold our breath when we pass a cemetery and we lift our feet when going over train tracks. I feel the tunnel honk is something that is definitely worthy of becoming a tradition haha
Much love to you and all those who shared in your journey. I know you all ROCK!
And so you're back , back from the states.
I just turned on my RUclips app and saw that look upon your face.
Weren't you the who told us all that you would fly , back to the states and then gave the reason why.
Enough, you have now ended your period of adjustment, you have put all of the trauma behind you and moved on.
Good for you.😊😊
Dude Symon I swear I replied to this but it’s not there 😵😵😵😵
Thank you man, and thank you for stickin with me even when I’m the freakin WORST communicator in history. You’re. Good man Symon a good man
Glad you had such a tremendous trip. It's amazing country isn't it? Looking forward to more. Take care, mate ❤
Thanks heaps icatz ♥️
Ended up being sick but would have loved to meet ya! I'm in Wyoming. Still really enjoy hearing your voice! And you need more off the shoulders kinda dress😂😂😂😂😂
Bahahaha oh gosh Barbara I don’t know if the world is ready for more off the shoulder from me 🤣🤣🤣
It was wonderful to see you enjoy yourself so much here in the states Jesse! And what an honor to be Theo's best man, its a bond that you will share forever! Loved you in a wedding dress by the way, you are so dang cute! For sure Alexis and Theo were born for each other, even with the huge height difference, ha! She is simply adorable.
Thank you for sharing your adventure!
Theo, I agree with a lot of these other posts that mentioned getting teary eyed. It's because it brings us joy to see that you're doing so well. You're a good person and we like to see good people have joy in their life!
Thank you for the kind words mate
I enjoy watching your channel in Australia, too. 3:36 Our west is cool isn't it? So glad you came.
It's not very often that we get to watch a bromance unfold right in front of our eyes! 👀 🤣
Seriously, though... this is such a great tribute to such a good friend! I love the humor. I love the energy. I love the fellowship, and I especially love all the feels!
P. S. Great editing on the video, Jesse!
Bahahaha! Dude right 🤣🤣🤣
But seriously thanks so much for the kind message mate. I really appreciate it 😁
@@Rookie_Rockounding I was actually expecting to either see a GoFundMe campaign, or a live telethon to raise enough money to pay the postage required to get all your rocks home! 🤣 I'd imagine there's quite a few people out there who would pay good money to see you wearing that dress during a live Q&A!
Oh my goodness
.. I enjoy all of the team that is ..
It’s honestly an honour to be even named along side those legends! Thank you Rebecca and I hope your arm is at full strength or at the least healing rapidly!!!!
wendigo, a mythological cannibalistic monster in the spiritual tradition of North American Algonquian-speaking tribes. It is associated with winter and described as either a fearsome beast that stalks and eats humans or as a spirit that possesses humans, causing them to turn into cannibals. 😁
Your awesome!
Oh. My. Goodness. I now must google! 😬😳🤦♂️
“Lennuts” that’s solid downunder humor! 😂 Been waiting for this vid for ages! Looks like you fit right in in the USA. And a massive congratulations to Theo and Alexis ❤
Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣 had to leave that in the video hey 🇦🇺
Glad to see you so happy .it looks like fun
