Damn David deserves way more subscribers. He always puts fucking great Content with great editing and funny shit. Makes you realize how other channels take you for a fool.
Anyone else just love davids food commentary or when he goes to undisclosed locations and tries their food, his style when vlogging is magnificent with it.
"I'm going to Japan because jkfilms invited me but also love Japanese food" ,"I'm going to new Orleans because I love Cajun food" from 1 fat guy to another i understand u
When you so early that there isn't even a thumbnail 😂 David always posts some REALLY interesting vids I love it, I don't know how he does it 👏🏼👏🏼 his vids are all so funny
I am SO glad that you love our community, culture, and most importantly, FOOD! New Orleans is very rustic and old, but that does not mean it's entirely bad. The people here are the sweetest. We will never treat you like strangers. The city is still reconstructing its architecture, roads, and crime, but I feel so honored that you are enjoying our city.
I loooovvveee how nice southerners are, I used to live in Georgia and everyone was so nice. When I moved back to California I was so shocked by how rude workers and everyone was.
+jizzypuff I've lived in Louisiana since I was born there for 13 years then I moved to California for a year, now I didn't realize how different the hospitality was until I moved back to Louisiana and when I went to school, some people would hold doors open for me out of courtesy. It shocked me at how nice people were and I guess it was because its been so long I've experienced such nice hospitality. People who work at restaurants and stores are really nice and comfortable to be with. No rudeness whatsoever. It's amazing compared to California but I guess people do get tired soon lmao after having to deal with so much shit.
David, you need to come down here to Laffayette Louisiana where the real cajun food is. Come get you some Pepperjack cheese Boudin balls, Seafood and chicken/deer Gumbo some Jumbalaya and everything else!
New Orleans is one of my favorite spots to visit, haven't been back since I quit drinking, but we did a lot more there than just drink when I traveled there with friends. The locals are really great people, chill, hospitable, authentic...nearly every shop owner is a wealth of knowledge and experience, and they all have recommendations that are far better than the normal tourist-y style stuff you hear about at the hotels etc. I stayed in the Jazz Quarter instead of the French Quarter and the hotel prices were dramatically cheaper, but it worked out well because I ended up meeting a lot of locals and shop owners while walking to meet my friends in the French Quarter every morning. If I learned anything, I'd say listening to the locals is key...they know where all the best places to eat, especially if you want to avoid big crowds of tourists. Those airboat rides are worth every penny too, drifting around on top of the water in the bayou is more fun that it might seem...plus sometimes you get to hold a baby gator too lol....New Orleans feels a lot like Maine to me...but with more laid back southern hospitality and better food and cheaper booze...what more can you ask for? :)
compere lapin- compere sounds like compare except with a lighter tone on the A, kind of like com-pear. For lapin, it sounds like lap-an (ANyanghasaeyo) the kind of an in anyanghasaeyo, so lap-an
When David is the only man. Aha! But I love it! Gosh I love your videos David. I always love to get the chance to try the food you and JK eat and recommend. I love that you're a foodie David because the description you always give makes everything sound amazing. Plus, I'm always learning, and it makes me happy since I'm also a foodie. :3
If you ever go again, you NEED to go to Rebirth. As a foodie, I know you will enjoy it! it's a small place in the french quarter with just a few tables, the chef comes out and greets you at the end of the night. It makes the trip soo worth it! everything is delicious there.
That body language was unnerving. If Taryn Southern invited you out there as a host, she sure seemed distant and didn't want to talk to your crew. Just like high school cliques or something.
Yeah, something there did seem off....but I just assumed she didn't want to interrupt David while he was filming, so she kept to herself. Also, we have to remember that this is edited. They could've had a great time, made great conversation, but he simply left it out because it wasn't "vlog material".
Conch is pronounced Konk only complaint, When ever i watch david talk about food its an inspiring thing for me, im in cullinary school and i want to make food that worthy of the descriptions he gives but man i gotta learn soo much. keep it up man huge fan.
Dam! I was at NoLa last month. Wished I could've bumped into you David so cuz I Was at Compere lapin as well. Great restaurant! I wonder if you will eat At the other same restaurants I did as well
I'm from the South (Arkansas) and New Orleans was a favorite summer vacation spot for my family when I was a kid. :D Mulates was our favorite place to eat there so if you ever get a chance to go back I recommend there for some good cajun food and zydeco music. :)
David bro love the vids lol you def. have to go out and try some less bougie places lol gumbo, jambalaya, crawfish ettoufee, shrimp and grits, boudan, you HAVE to see at least three of those on the menu lol to get that truth! :) once i heard goat curry I was like hell no! Get you some fried boudin balls and cracklings! Or try a fried oyster poboy or shrimp po boy next time! Also, you can not leave New Orleans without getting some beignets from cafe du monde! Keep up the work bro learning a lot from you! Oh by the way lol folk say New Orleans different too hehe :) no judgement
David you have a dead pixel or dust or something in the recording (The restaurant part), Thought my new monitor was the problem but it was just in the video.
Oh man, I actually went to New Orleans a couple weeks ago with my class and we actually ate at Compere Lapin AT THE EXACT TABLE. And oof, you are right about them biscuits tho.
My hometown, ayyyy... but I don't think it's that fancy.. I guess because I'm from there... and I could not stop laughing watching you.. your amazing.. new subscriber here. lol 😂😂
Love the content, seems like you could possibly do a Anthony Bourdain type show with your own twist, or you could even Direct a Chef’s Table style one as well.
Damn David deserves way more subscribers. He always puts fucking great Content with great editing and funny shit. Makes you realize how other channels take you for a fool.
Appreciate it!!

Hope you enjoyed your time out there. Coming from someone who grew up there, it was good to see this aspect of the city from a traveler's eye
david that's just southern hospitality, I know cali has a lot of food, but nothing beats the south flavor.
I agree
I loooovvveee how nice southerners are, I used to live in Georgia and everyone was so nice. When I moved back to California I was so shocked by how rude workers and everyone was.

Lol, I notice a difference in mannerisms and fashion style between David and his LA crew and Tarynn's southern girls haha
Damn....I live so close to new orleans. Would totally go there just to see david ;(
compere lapin- compere sounds like compare except with a lighter tone on the A, kind of like com-pear. For lapin, it sounds like lap-an (ANyanghasaeyo) the kind of an in anyanghasaeyo, so lap-an

I love these food vlogs. More, please!
I said that I wasn't going to touch myself today, until I saw those Korean stretches 😂😂😂😂
David has spent more money in food than I have seen in life
french quarter:
cafe du monde
the camillia grill
pat o'briens
just walk around for a day or two and you'll find some unique places to eat and drink
David knows more about food than doctors know about the human body.
David definitely has a future as a food critic/writer. He really knows his shit ^^
David needs a food tv show asap!!!!!
That body language was unnerving. If Taryn Southern invited you out there as a host, she sure seemed distant and didn't want to talk to your crew. Just like high school cliques or something.
she seemed like a typical white person who gives shit, david getting views either way regardless of that bitches attention
who cares he prob used her as a excuse to travel
***** Some trolls don't think before they post. Is it possible some viewers know RUclipsrs personally? Just maybe?
Yeah, something there did seem off....but I just assumed she didn't want to interrupt David while he was filming, so she kept to herself. Also, we have to remember that this is edited. They could've had a great time, made great conversation, but he simply left it out because it wasn't "vlog material".
+Eastfist ok so the question is do u know her personally? from the way you typed the first comment it didn't seem so..
Conch is pronounced Konk only complaint, When ever i watch david talk about food its an inspiring thing for me, im in cullinary school and i want to make food that worthy of the descriptions he gives but man i gotta learn soo much. keep it up man huge fan.
You have to try Drago's chargrilled oysters. There's also this Vietnamese fusion place called Mint Modern Fusion with a bomb kimchi burger and pho.
I heard Jeni Suk! Tarynnnn!!!! I love your videos, especially the way you describe stuff. Wish you could do MTV cribs for the other celebrities. LOL

Go to Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter they serve beignets that where all the tourist go. They are well known in New Orleans.
go to Oceana Grill
+Cassidy Hemker you know you wrong for reccomending that place. they ended up on kitchen nightmares for a reason
+silverfairy08 when? I ate there a long time ago, they probably got a new owner after i left.
+Cassidy Hemker online it says it aired in 2011 I think someone bought them out.
no the same guy still owns it and i think he expanded to another fancy restaurant in metairie..
Such thoughtful commentary David, good job!
I was in New Orleans last week! Beautiful place, great food :)
I hope and pray you do a dine and greet in New Orleans one day David!

Love the content, seems like you could possibly do a Anthony Bourdain type show with your own twist, or you could even Direct a Chef’s Table style one as well.
You should check out Seattle some time!
David you rock those cargo pants!!!!
I click for Taryn, I stay for the food.
Anyone wants David to come to Trinidad just to try doubles and some other things like curry chicken, duck and goat etc.
