Thank you for this tutorial. I made a baby hat with a variegated yarn and a plain yarn. The plain yarn showed the stitch much better. Keep up the great work.
How adorable!!!!! Thank u denise!! U inspire me to keep doin charity work with intresting stitches. Doin the same thing gets sooo boring!!! Happy looming!!
jennifer oyloe Oh man Oh man - that's a good thing because - It is NEVER to early to start getting ready for Christmas - You blink - its Here. Hugs for you Loomy !
quick question about this stitch. when you do the e-wrap row after the purl over row, do you lift the bottom string over the top one, just like a normal e-wrap? Thank you! :)
I came back to looking after a 20 year hiatus. I re-learned everything I needed to know from this site and its wonderful instructor, Denise. She has worked her back end off making her site highly visible, very easy to navigate and will show you anything you ask to try and help. And, if she doesn’t have the answer, she will get the answer or tell you where to get the answer. You need not look any further! Hope I helped! Good Luck!
Susie Lesemann YES ! - you can make this stitch on ANY LOOM - here is the pattern for the little hat on the picture: www.loomahat.com/tiny-heart-stitch-hat/
How did you cast on or start this? I wanna make a baby blanket and the fact your using one strand is great snice I'm limited to yarn. I tried to use some methods of yours but i got confused (it looked too sparse). Could you point me to a video that did this.
I'm just doing a little square to learn the stitch, can I do an e wrap cast on then go into making the heart stitch? I am still new to loom knitting and have only done projects using e wrap.
Shrada thanks for the question - the cast on and off really depends on the project more then the stitch. I recommend this video. ruclips.net/video/YWjS77zVdaw/видео.html
Abby Mangus this pattern is on her website I just asked the same question and I seen how long there was no response and I just scrolled through the comments and found it, and that the pattern is on her website loomahat.com hope this helps💗
this is an adorable stitch! I want to make a baby blanket with bernat baby yarn on long loom as a gift project and want to use this stitch..would it turn out nice?is there a pattern I can refer to for the blanket? thanks a lot for sharing!❤
Hi Denise! I attempted to make a flat scarf with the tiny heart stitch. I'm using a long loom. I love this stitch. However, I finished the scarf and the edges are curling in like a tube. Do you have any tips on how to keep the scarf flat? I've seen different stitches on other channels that reverse the e-wrap to prevent the curling. Can this be done with the tiny heart stitch? And if so, how?
Jill Perez You can tighten the loose loops. Here is a video - ruclips.net/video/27xAJKBv37c/видео.html . If you still have some curly try steam blocking: ruclips.net/video/xWyOk1a8fyY/видео.html
I know this video is just for the tiny heart stitch but what is the best cast on for for the tiny heart stitch when making it as a scarf on the long loom? Do you skip the first peg?
+Karen Battisti The loom shouldn't really determine the cast on - nor the stitch - instead it's the project and how you want it to look - best to start with a pattern and then just switch stitches. Here is a link to a simple scarf - just replace the knit with the tiny heart stitch: ruclips.net/video/WdxFdqy6u1s/видео.html - another recommended video is this one : ruclips.net/video/WdxFdqy6u1s/видео.html
Theresa has some other great stitch patterns. I'd love to see you do videos of those as well because some of those videos are not quite as good clarity/image resolution. Additionally, she mentions other pending stitch patterns that never made their way to video. But they sound/look amazing! Would love to see you get permission to do more of her stuff. She is so clever/creative!
+vegangelist Would love to but don't want to steal her thunder- I did this one to introduce her to my viewers because I think she does really cool stitches - but I am thinking of making some shawls with some of her stitches in the spring - my schedule has been SOOOOO messed-up... that's why I've been so quite. I have 3 projects started - none finished :( ... gotta get it together sooooooooooooon
Hello, just a quick question! would this stitch curl when using it on a larger project, like a blanket? If so, what would be a good border stitch to use for it?
Ok i watched the video on how to cast on long loom and I started my first row but when I got 2 my second row and the loop was there from the first row i didn't know what to do _it it..m please help
Dawn Ruple The design of this pattern was made for single rake - like the round loom . You can use the long loom but only one side (rake) at a time. What are you trying to make?
I need to make sure I am understanding this, I am working on a baby hat! The tiny heart stitch is it a e wrap row then the heart stitch? On the hat I did the cast on, the knit 1 purl 1 knit 1 purl 1 now do I do knit row then heart stitch and keep repeating this until desired length or do I just do the heart stitch. Hope this makes sense Thank
+teresa tart Teresa - sorry that I missed your question - the heart stitch is made up of 2 rows of stitches - I suggest reading the post and then watching the video completely before starting any project with this stitch: www.loomahat.com/tiny-heart-stitch/
Is there by chance a full video with this tiny heart stitch for a scarf? I've been playing with now for awhile and I'm just not sure how to start it out for the scarf. It just doesn't seem right. I did an e-wrap cast on and e-wrap one row and started the tiny heart stitch. I getting really confused on the first stitch at both ends. I hope someone can help.
Dawn Ruple Yes you can - ewrap does give you loose edges - my new video shows you how to clear those up: ruclips.net/video/27xAJKBv37c/видео.html - I don't know if I gave you the link to the hat pattern : www.loomahat.com/tiny-heart-stitch/
The video won't load all the way!Row one is an e-wrap, row two is the purl. That's as far as I got before the video stopped! Is it an e wrap again after that? Someone please help!
Dawn Ruple The cast-on depends on the project - this video is only about the stitch - here is a list of video on how to cast on the long loom ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=long+loom+cast+on
I just did a hat with straight knit for the brim (16 rows, doubled over to form brim) and tiny heart stitch 1 row, knit 1 row, etc (30 rows) for the body, equaling 4.5 inches for body and 1.5 for brim, = 6 inches, on 32 peg loom 😊 plus a pom pom on top. Makes a very cute hat 😊
Dawn Ruple The cast-on depends on the project - this video is only about the stitch - here is a one cast on option: ruclips.net/video/3uvW3NA-Udo/видео.html

Does this pattern curl? Will it need an edge for a blanket? Would a garter stitch work as a edge? Xx

When doing the tiny heart stitch can you stagger the tiny hearts throughout your project?
Hi so cute!..Q: can you make this tiny heart stitch on a round knitting loom?
Susie Lesemann YES ! - you can make this stitch on ANY LOOM - here is the pattern for the little hat on the picture: www.loomahat.com/tiny-heart-stitch-hat/

I am making a scarf with this beautiful stitch, and the edges are curling. How do I fix this, please?
Either do a 2 stitch 2 row border or steam block your work
Can you make a full video of this I'm not sure I understand how you started this
Hi, do you skip the last stitch when doing the purl over since you didn't e wrap first peg or not? I am bit confused.

I’m trying to knit a baby blanket with this stitch, what would be the size?
Hello, just a quick question! would this stitch curl when using it on a larger project, like a blanket? If so, what would be a good border stitch to use for it?
Alena Cooper Hi Alena - no this stitch does not curl - I think a border would be beautiful !
Awesome! Thanks for getting back with me so quickly, I appreciate it!
Do you use e wrap cast on? How would you cast off?
Question Dennis, for pearl over style , can you make eternity scarf ,.. thank you
Yes - would be very beautiful !
Hello, I would like to make squares of this stitch for a baby blanket. Will it also roll up on me? Tia
+Kelly N No - this stitch doesn't roll and would make a beautiful blanket
Love this one
When I cast on to start do I just follow the row 1 row 2 pattern or do I use another type of stitch for the first row to get started?
Hi Julie - this is a stitch pattern only. The cast-on depends on the project you choose to make using the stitch.
Ok i watched the video on how to cast on long loom and I started my first row but when I got 2 my second row and the loop was there from the first row i didn't know what to do _it it..m please help

Excellent video!
Thank you !
hi there

Cute stitch. I hate to purl. But that's not too bad and oh so cute. Thanks for demonstrating it. Very clear and easy to follow tutorial. 👏👏👏
Thank YOU for the Thanks Sherry - I really appreciate it !
Does this stitch curl? If making a blanket do I need to do a garter stitch border?

Hello! I was wondering if this pattern can be used on knitting needles. Thank you.
+Ashley M Ashley I wish I could answer that question but I don't knit with needles
Thank you for your reply. Does this pattern have a written version? Thanks!
Here is a link: www.loomahat.com/tiny-heart-stitch/
can you tell me which size of yarn is suitable for this heart stitch?
+winter aster Any yarn is fine - I prefer worsted weight #4 or chunky #5 - no thinner and no thicker
Thank you. I bought #4 worsted weight but the yarn look smaller than other worsted weight.
Is it an rewrap cast on?
Is there by chance a full video with this tiny heart stitch for a scarf? I've been playing with now for awhile and I'm just not sure how to start it out for the scarf. It just doesn't seem right. I did an e-wrap cast on and e-wrap one row and started the tiny heart stitch. I getting really confused on the first stitch at both ends. I hope someone can help.
I skip the first stitch and I end with one e-wrap knit stitch even on the purl rows otherwise it seems to shrink up on one side.
can I use a 5 mm yarn and serinity loom ?
+fannepin Yes
Another great video! Thanks for making this! I loooove this pattern!
Thank YOU Arlene !!!

Hi thanks for asking but I don't double knit any of my projects
I tried this on my round KK, and it's not dense like yours, what loom did u use, pls? Tia
+Kelly N I used a KK - it may be the yarn
Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
Just Lovely Thanks

How do you finish the proyect.
Here is the pattern for hat:
www.loomahat.com/tiny-heart-stitch-hat/
How many pegs did you use
This is a stitch pattern only video- not a complete project
I tried it in bulky yarn, and it didn't look right. Is that not the correct yarn?
Linda I used a single strand of medium #4 worsted weight yarn
The video won't load all the way!Row one is an e-wrap, row two is the purl. That's as far as I got before the video stopped! Is it an e wrap again after that? Someone please help!
do U have any yarn recommendations?
For this stitch pattern I prefer a medium #4 worsted weight.
I mean, any brands?
I use Red Heart a lot to test my designs - Paton for adult projects but I prefer Knit Picks for baby projects. amzn.to/2zUG619
Thanks, I loom weave, and I am in a craft show for Small Business Saturday!

Hello is very Nice
telma ferreira THANK You !
Hi Denise I really like this stitch but the video where you show the stitch it's too short and I can't learn it. It would be nice for you to make the video a tad longer. Thank you.
telma ferreira Hi telma. The video was only for making the stitch pattern and not a project. What did you want to make?
I'm making a blanket and I would like to use this stitch throughout, a better video would be great!
Watch the video for the scarf and just make it larger and use the Tiny Heart stitch instead of the E-Wrap ruclips.net/video/WdxFdqy6u1s/видео.html
Could you send me. Her. Web sit. And. Yours. Please i love 💘 your stich. Have nice weekend
Thanks Jodie- all the information should be in the description in the box under the video
Adorable :) I have to do it :D :D :D
Why don't you show us how you started it? Like start from the beginning so we know how too start it!!!!!!
Chris - this is a stitch pattern and not a project. Cast on and cast off are decided by the project. Just like buying fabric doesn’t determine what you’re making with it so it doesn’t come with instructions for pants because maybe you’re planning on making a skirt. Hope that makes sense.
how do you take it off of the loom
how do you take it off the loom
