RM grew up in a city called ilsan and only moved to Seoul when he became a trainee.
That's the reason why he "asks" Seoul, why are you "holding me" here when I dont even have any particularly significant (childhood) memories of "you"?
He makes no conclusion about the city of Seoul. He has a love and hate relationship with this place. People love to romanticize Korea and/or big cities in general, but honestly as with ANYTHING, there's always a lot of good AND bad aspects. You wanna leave but you want to stay, you want to throw it away yet you want to hold it tightly, you want nothing to do with it but you're already engulfed in it. I feel like it's like that for anything in life really x_x
Seoul is such a vast, flashy, fun place but on the other side, it's also overly fast-paced, smothering, and "ashy" : (
