Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This video was amazingly helpful. Thank you! We had breakfast at El Tovar 2 mornings in a row. It was fantastic. We also tried both versions of Fred Havey at Bright Angel Lodge, So good! And, Hermits rest had great sandwiches and hot cookies! Yum! (No Black Birds stole our food, but they kept us company....)
It is hard finding food at lunch time, but with your tips, I had it all handled. Thank you!

Lots of great info. I was at the south rim last fall taking train from Williams. But plan to stay at Canyon on next trip. You could easily spend a week there.

I usually bring my own food when going to the Grand Canyon. One time I tried the yavapai lounge pizza. I was not impressed.

We wanted to eat at Yavapai Tavern, but it was always too busy. El Tovar breakfast is delicious and reservations are not required. I also had the pancake trio with prickly pear syrup. YUM!

If I ever get back to GC I know more places to eat. So I have only eaten at Fred Havey Burger and Arizona Steak House except one when drove down tonWilliams to have lunch at Twisters.
This needs to be updated. Went to Grand Canyon in October, 2022. Most restaurants were open. General Store has great food options of healthy, good takeout food. We were happy to stay at a 2 BR VRBO condo in Tusayton, where we could fix breakfast and dinner and snacks with our 2 teenage granddaughters.

Planning on going in August, I heard it’s busy during the summer, do you know the usually wait time at the El tovar for breakfast 6:30 am is yo early for my teen son 😂
It is busy in the summer but still worth going. I don't know the wait time at El Tovar. You could try calling the establishment. Thanks for watching.
