Late 90's and early 2000's he was a radio presenter at Power 101 FM in Malawi and during that period is when I learnt that he was a member of the legendary reggae band 3rd World. What struck me the most was his skill as a talk show radio presenter , he displayed his critical thinking skills during his stint at power 101in his shows that were educative, informative and enlightening. I was hoping to hear him presenting a show some day but what is left is I will miss his shows forever. Rest in power Mr Michael Ibo Cooper.
So he was in Malawi from Jamaica? He did live in Malawi for real?
@@muhammadnawaz5039 yes he lived in Malawi for sometime together with Junior Manning another Jamaican Music Radio host.
The image of Michael as a tall, small bodied, buff teeth lad at Knox College in the 60s and always at the piano has never left my mind. So very sorry about your passing, Michael, rest in peace.
My heart bleeds sadness 😢
Right from my first contact with you....
Cooper you been awesome..
Sleep well Brethren.
That first picture with plaid suits and bow tie is priceless.
However, this was a missed opportunity to showcase Ibo, busy in the back of the band, multi-tasking the keyboards..........and grinning to make it look easy.
