- Go behind the scenes with Sutton Foster and the cast of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE as they record the musical's Original Broadway Cast Recording. DROWSY is a love letter to musical theatre, cast albums and the people who love them. While we're not 100% certain, we believe this is the first ever cast album within a cast album in history... maybe.

I like how Feldzeig's actor has a cigar in his hand to help him get into character. Good stuff.
There's absolutely nothing like being in this show. Nothing on earth. It kicks your ass front to back, but it rewards you in ways you'd never expect. Doing Drowsy changed me in so many ways, and all for the better.
Totally agree! I played Aldolpho in my senior year of high school, and being my dream role was so rewarding.
@@limesoda4179 My school is doing it this year! I'm going for the role of Aldolpho, this show looks like so much fun!
Such a thrill to hear the original cast. Sutton Foster and all just shine!
It’s such a thrill when lovebirds trill?
5:47 love her voice there
8:02 lol nice wedding ring
One of the best musicals ever!
I was just the man in chair in my schools production, and it was the perfect last musical as a senior. Sitting there, watching your friends perform in front of your eyes, explaining how great it is. it will truly live on as a core memory within my heart.
Christ, if this doesn't give someone an appreciation for the recording process, and the singers themselves; I wish this type of video existed for every Broadway recording out there!
1st: Sutton Foster
2nd: The singing is sublime!!!
Along with "Something Rotten," this was the best original musical of the last fifteen years. I just love every second of it.
Sutton foster = perfection
This is so cool! I love the drowsy chaperone, I always have since my high school put it on. (Of course, I liked it then because I had a crush on the girl who played Drowsy...)
Playing Janet right now - one of the most seemingly simple yet difficult characters I’ve ever played. She’s just so repetitive and exhausting - it’s tricky to leave her at 2D when the actor in me wants a well rounded in depth character. At the end of the day, she was written surface level and to play it in such a way where it feels authentic to the show in a superficial way, and yet still relatable/hilarious is no easy task…
Today we had our read through and I’m playing Man In Chair. I love this show so much.
I want to be in this musical so badly 😭😭
I will never get over the amazingness of this musical
love sutton foster!
Currently going into the second week of performances as Trix and this musical is so so amazing!
Everyone just looks like they are having so much fun with this show it’s just amazing
To those who have not seen and/or listened to this musical, it is very much worth it. Takes a special kind of creativity to bring something really sweet, cheesy yet full of heart, and downright hilarious to this. Love it!
I’m so psyched to be in the pit for this show
Finding this gem of a video made me so happy. This show was the first show I've ever done more than a year ago and it truly changed my entire life. I love going through the comments and seeing how it changes other people's lives too. I'm so grateful for theater.
I just did this musical playing Kitty in a two week theatre camp! It was super fun and I loved every second of it! Such a great and funny show to be a part of! 👌

My school is putting on this musical later this month and even though I'm not on stage, I adore being in the pit band :)
I am so excited because my school is putting on this show in a couple weeks and I'm playing George!
i would give anything in the whole world to be in this show. i AM the man in the chair in this case.... oh i love it so much!
