I have an Ultradeck with the MasterTracker cartridge and really enjoy it. That was a great video on the Fender version, Kat. You've shocked and amazed at how you so eloquently spoke the words, "Swamp Ash Wood" numerous times without taking it into a completely different direction. As always, Thank you.
Thanks, Kat! Beautiful turntable, and being a strat player, it has instant visual appeal to me. The one thing that I was hesitant about was the fact that ash is used so often in guitars because of its resonance qualities, which seems counter intuitive when it comes to a turntable. Thanks for clarifying how that is mitigated in its design. It's now on my short list!
Great video and rundown on the sunburst MoFi deck Kat, however, I may have to sell my house so I can get a larger listening room to accommodate the Jubilee’s! Thank’s a Lot!
Someone needs to produce another version of this turntable with a Linear Tracking Tonearm plus all electronics to make the tonearm work that plays records the way the master was cut on the record cutting lathe.
Fender? That's why I clicked this video, turntables by Fender, that's new.. 😮 This deck looks great 😮 I'd like to see and play a couple. What did you say about changing pulley to play 45rpm vinyls?
the belt is moved on the pulley to change speed, no big deal. This is because optimizing the motor to spin with a regulated RPM is very important , making it spin at another speed is twice as difficult with usually less precision, so just moving the belt to another drive ratio is an often used approach.
Thanks for the great review, Kat. I'm new to vinyl and I own thia table. I want help in upgrading the cartridge, and have a 2-3k budget and listen to everything from vocal jazz to hard rock. What would you recommend that pairs good with this warm table?
Fender and MoFi have things they excel at. Making turntables isn't one of them. I can't seriously look at this table with any higher regard than if you showed one with a USB connector on it.
Ugh, stay true to your analog heart girl. Please don't go pimping products you don't truly believe in. This deck is a hard sell at this point. Gorgeous and nostalgic, yes. Analog greatness for the money?????
